}Missed Glory Smolders{

Moon in Taurus-->Gemini
|Karmically intense or sobering third| of this week continues (until Friday morning)
/moon void-of-course    * / |
until it enters Gemini at 9:16a PT | 12:16p ET | 5:16p UT   ** |

This is probably the hardest day of the week. Luna opposes the difficult conjunction of the sun, Saturn, and Mercury in Sagittarius. As remarked yesterday, Thanksgiving, though still in the |difficult third| of this week, may be better because of lunar aspects. Still, people are serious.

You may feel depressed by Thanksgiving preparations for one reason or another--not purchasing  just what you wanted, or delays, or free-floating anxiety. You may be missing someone who will not be there, or past Thanksgivings in your mind may pale before the prospects of this one. Or, if you are younger, you may feel you are a prisoner of older people and would like to break away (from Saturn as indicating more mature or elderly individuals).

However, it should definitely seem better tomorrow. Still, the issues of Saturn and sun and Mercury all square Neptune are with us both days, and for a week and more to come. Alcohol, while giving short-term relief, could be a poison long-term (depending on quantity of course). There can be enervation, or a feeling of loss or sadness. You are aware of sacrifices you need to make for others.

But then, Thanksgiving as a spiritual (rather than gastronomic) holiday was made for the purpose of rising above such things, was it not? We all have much for which to be grateful.

The very orderly, neat person with arched eyebrows forgot to put out
The fire in his fireplace. It blazes, and the neighbors guard it. Yet he sees
Keenly into the intricacies of his work, and his co-workers' business.
His prism-like mind validates all, but is embarrassed when he goes home.

The priest in his robe wants peace and seclusion, standing in his
Cloister. A radical magazine blazes gossip about his lost youth.
Some think the writer a silly ostrich trying to profit by
Others' peccadillos. Some think the priest a tinkling cymbal.

The casket of jewels arouses his passionate greed. He is willing to fight
For it, walking on the edge of a precipice to secure it.
It eludes his grasp, but he still has a story to tell and becomes
A lecturer and writer of tales of would-be glory he missed.
