Forecast for Sunday 1 November 2015

Sunday 1 November 2015

I forgot the change back to standard time, so the forecast for Sunday should have read:

Moon in Cancer   ***
/moon goes void-of-course at 7:10p PT | 10:10p ET | 3:10a(M) UT   ** /

Universal Time of course remains the same, now five rather than four hours from Eastern Time.

The good lunar aspects only promised last evening (Halloween) are realized today, especially in afternoon and evening up to the void-of-course time above. So there should be more peace of mind than on Saturday.

I realize now that it was wishful thinking for me to suggest that the sweeter aspects of the moon would come into effect on Halloween evening. They did, mildly, but Luna's square to Uranus and opposition with Pluto were the ones which were closest to formation up to and beyond midnight. As that worked out for myself and a friend, we had a good evening, with no alcohol, but at midpoint of the celebration the expensive mask he was wearing, covering his whole head, was torn when he removed it. After that it was unusable. This was sad and depressing for him but there was nothing to be done. At the time I did not think about the astrological aspects, but later tonight I pondered them and see that the "yod" of Uranus in Aries with Saturn on one side and Jupiter-Venus-Mars on the other could be held responsible, for Uranus rules unexpected and often destructive happenings and it is in the sign Aries which rules the head, and this mask was a whole-head mask.  This looks almost humorous, in afterview, but I felt sorry that my friend had to endure the loss of his mask in the middle of the holiday fun.

[For those with some knowledge of technical astrology, I put "yod" in quotation marks because it is an unconventional one, being formed by a sesqui-square on one side and two septiles, plus a quincunx, on the other, while usually a yod is considered to be formed by quincunxes only. But in the past I have seen these other minor aspects, which resemble the quincunx in many ways, to be as fateful as a quincunx yod when they affect one planet from both sides of the zodiac.

[Further, I no longer consider these aspects to be "minor" when they are within an orb of two degrees.]

It is interesting that the revelations about the dangers of cancer from a meat (or, as I call it, a corpse) diet are coming out while these three planets remain in Virgo, the sign which has the most to do with selectivity in food. It rules the small intestine, where food is selected for absorption or rejected; and in human beings it rules our process of selecting what food we shall eat. If you know many Virgo people you will have noticed that they are very particular about diet, although of course each of them has his or her own peculiarities in food selection, whether vegetarian, vegan, or corpse-consuming.

Sunday morning and early afternoon is when we may feel the most discomfort while luna squares Uranus exactly This could be a "the world is against me" feeling, for Uranus under hard aspects can be rebellion. To say that we ought to bow to the Divine will is absolutely true, but needs to be sugarcoated when Uranus is involved, as in saying that the Divine will is really the same as one's own true will. And that I believe is really true. A corollary is that one's own true will is not always what one's superficial willfulness or self-centeredness would assume it to be. That superficial human will based on inadequate perspective is what Uranus can represent when we are not up to scratch spiritually. When we rise higher, we find that our will is imperious when allied with or made at-one with the Will of the Highest. That is the flowering of Uranus into its real power.

Then, later into Sunday evening, the sextiles of Luna with the Virgo planets bring comfort, peace, and satisfaction. Putting order into things while at home would be not a chore but a pleasure.
