This is the first lengthy void-of-course period we have had in a couple of weeks. The day may be a bit of a breather. We need to catch our breath. A feeling of despondence or "what's the use?" could be something we need to face. The good side of it is that it shows us how we can take a different viewpoint, approach or rationale to our lives which will again put us on a winning trajectory. I hope the following report for the September 1-15 fortnight will help:

^September 1-15, 2015 (Tuesday through Tuesday): Inching Toward More Definite Purpose^

I am feeling daunted by the charts for the first half of September, or not in the best of moods for writing about them, so will give it a "lick and promise" for tonight and hope to expand this report (revising, adding and reposting) over coming days.

There will be a lot of pondering and thinking, trying to get at the roots of one's philosophy or approach to life, with a bit of discontent. The latter is good insofar as it inspires us to go deeper into ourselves and our destinies.

Money matters were correctly diagnosed in the report for August 16-31 as difficult, just before the very large stock market drop. There was a mild but not complete recovery last week from that, and now things seem uncertain. I do not claim to be able to predict the Market's motions but the autumn of the year, including sometimes September, has been the scene for the largest drops in history including 1929, 1987 and 2008. I sincerely hope that will not be the case this fall but many investors are nervous. It goes without saying that investors need to be careful, but since there is volatility, one does not know whether missing large Market rises or getting in on large drops is the worse problem. I have to admit that this paragraph would not be very helpful to investors. 

Indefiniteness is increased by the Dark Hermetic Epoch. We have already discussed that in the past few days; it lasts until October 24. But life goes on. The internal, dream-like thrust of these periods is increased this time by the opposition of both Jupiter and the sun with Neptune while the latter is in its own sign Pisces. This can be "religious problems" for one thing, since Jupiter is involved, or "spiritual problems" on the Netpunian side. People find it hard to talk about such matters and hard to define what their positions are, since the spiritual and even the religious go way beyond what our concrete, verbally dependent minds can surmise or state in so many words. Therefore misunderstandings are inevitable, it seems, and one can only do one's best, praying (verbally and non-verbally) for understanding within oneself, within others, and in interpersonal communication. 

All that is specially poignant because both ends of the opposition are square Saturn near the end of Scorpio. Some may feel that their souls are "on the line" or that they face a crisis of knowing who they are, what their purpose is and whether or not their relation with the Supreme is safe and secure.

Mercury's opposition with Uranus and square with Pluto, in cardinal signs, is more worldly or sectarian, probably involving negotiation or compromise, requiring an ability to see what is most important in making deals or agreements. There are two sides at least to everything. That is a lesson of the sign Libra wherein Mercury resides while he slows down, goes backward, and then slowly forward, from now until the end of October. Rather than get upset and retreat in frustration, or lash out in anger, it would be wise to realize that the "other" in all situations does not see things as you do and that it might be good to try your utmost to see things from that other viewpoint, or at least not be short-tempered while the "other" is unable to see from your viewpoint. This is not easy. I don't like the word "compromise" but it might be a stopgap semi-solution to some impasses. 

Postponement is another option, though of course it is not always possible, but since people's minds go forward and backward, and they are not sure exactly what they think themselves in many cases (Dark Hermetic Epoch plus the aspects already mentioned), it is good to give them and oneself time to settle down. Waiting may seem a weak approach to crucial issues yet might be necessary in many of them--together with praying, which is always appropriate. 

On the happier side of things: Venus and Mars, together in Leo, are trine Uranus in Aries on one side and sextile Mercury in Libra on the other. This amounts to positive social possibilities, a readiness to trust oneself at least and in so doing to be willing to communicate with others fearlessly (despite what was said in previous paragraphs). Latching on to what is obvious (such as the weather, a popular talking point) or beyond dispute allows us to break the ice and approach what we really care about. People do not have to be super-sensitive about everything. Either romance or simple exhilarating temporary friendship is favored by these aspects. Maybe saying "How do you see this?" could help, or, "Do you think . . . ?". Putting everything in the form of a question could defuse the worries people entertain and help them realize what they really want or need. Then the ice breaks, there are smiles on both sides, and what unites people comes forward, always more real than words which divide.

There is restlessness. There could be thoughts of travel, even if you have no travel plans whatever--you think of people at a distance or a foreign place, or go to a place in your own town or neighborhood you rarely visit and it seems like a "trip." People want to be in more than one place at once. 

Communication about career matters reflects upon your personality. You are aware of how your personality affects your status in your job. 

Organizing things at home is worth while. 

Friends with whom you have felt discomfort recently are on your mind; you may feel there is nothing to do about them at present. You are giving something to each other at a subtle spiritual level even if not in contact. 

Being dynamic in your work or career requires you to sort out matters at home or in your headquarters. 

You feel the need of study and can do it patiently--most likely things you have already studied, reviewing them or repeating your reading to grasp it more thoroughly. 

It is good to soothe your worries about people and their attitude toward you because by evening there could be nice connections which make all feel good about themselves and one another.

The report for yesterday, Saturday, covers most of what I would say about today, so you might want to re-read it. We are free of the |difficult third of this week| and there is a feeling of liberation. People may work on interesting projects together. Household matters could be set in order wisely and happily. Money worries could be mitigated. Those who attend a church or spiritual group on Sundays may find that people there are in a better mood today than in recent weeks. Mars conjoined to Venus in Leo can bring romantic trends, thoughts and feelings. 

I will be busy trying to study the charts for the first half of September so that I can report something helpful about that period either Sunday or Monday.

We have been talking about Neptune for two days, and this is the third, because now the moon joins Neptune in its sign Pisces and opposes Jupiter and the sun in Virgo. Those two, in their natural opposition,  have a lot in common. Individuals born in either Virgo or Pisces tend to be conciliatory and easygoing, because they are the "negative" or "feminine" signs of the Common or Mutable Triplicity. They are generally "nice" and very understanding people. Today such an attitude to the world should be easier than yesterday, though we remain in the "tough" or challenging third of the week. Maybe you care about someone locked away, homebound, or self-isolated. It is possible to be a good friend to someone like that.

I don't like to emphasize the dreamy nature of the sun's opposition with Neptune, because we have to remain awake and alert and get things done, but I have noted over the years that at these times people are more relaxed and sleepy. Daydreaming is frequent, and night dreams vivid. We want to go to those Elysian Fields, or Strawberry Fields Forever, and can do that to some degree, preferably without drugs or drinks.

Today is the first day of a new Dark Hermetic Epoch, lasting until October 24. This is an Epoch within the four-month-or-so Mercury cycle, divided into Dark and Bright, my terms, applied by me to this cycle in about the year 1999 for the first time, so if anyone tells you that someone else discovered or named these cycles, they are wrong. They picked it up from me.

The difference between the two may be subtle at the beginning, but it is the difference between (a) moving forward and thinking out choices with confidence (Bright) and (b) being a lot more timid or changeable in one's thinking, dwelling on inner life or the past, pondering, living within oneself rather than being sharply effective in the outer world (Dark Epoch, beginning now). 

At a simple human level, you may notice people making more mistakes, backtracking, being late or careless, on and on. They get distracted easily, and so do you. They and you do things in an out-of-pattern manner, as if you were bored with the routines of the Bright Epoch and needed to experiment with something different. You will notice all that happening beginning today.

But it is not a "bad" time, just a different one. It can be highly creative. If the Bright Epoch is mathematics, symbolically, the Dark Epoch is poetry. If the Bright Epoch is running a race, the Dark Epoch is lying in bed and having blissful dreams. But of course nothing is as cut-and-dried as all that; still, you will see the difference.

So, it is indeed important to "keep awake" as Jesus recommended in the Gospels, during this time, but perhaps equally important to remember his beautiful saying that "My yoke is easy and my burden is light"--that is, that we need to take time out from a rigid, rigorous, demanding schedule,  appreciate life, people and ourselves in a more relaxed way at least sometimes during the Dark Epoch. A balance can be achieved, but it certainly helps to know what is going on.

Luna's sextile with Pluto today suggests savviness in a career matter you could splash before the world as your own contribution, for which you get applause. Or if not, the applause is within your own mind, inspiring you to keep going.

The shape of the planetary configuration now is a locomotive pattern, according to Marc Edmund Jones, with Mars in high focus in the dramatic sign Leo. This is quite the contrary of what was said about Neptune above, more like a desire to do things with splash and color no matter what the world thinks. You may feel very confident about some things you have decided on as your talents or ways of approaching success. But, in accord with the Neptunian situation as discussed, you may express that confidence in a casual, dreamy, carefree, interesting way rather than an immediately practical one.

"Where is the money I need to do this?" may be a question, but if you get yourself in the creative rhythm of your skill, the money will follow at the right time. Doing what you can while without it is a magical act attracting it.

}Dreaming While We Work{

It's a mixed bag. I think most will be finding themselves a little weary or wanting to retreat into themselves to some degree, although there are social elements because of Mars and Venus getting closer and closer in the romantic sign Leo.

With both Jupiter and the sun opposing Neptune, in its own sign Pisces, we may feel we need extra rest, sleep and dreams. Yes, dreaming is essential now. Neptune is such a mysterious planet, and yet as close as the heart's dearest desire. He or she (classically of course a male god but to my feeling feminine) grants us that Never-Never Land of instant fulfillment, all without drugs or alcohol (although some turn to those at heavy-Neptune times--I wish they knew that they do not need them). 

Have you been having amazing, vivid dreams in the past week or so? I have. They are wonderful, even if sometimes of the inexplicable variety--still, they seem totally real while happening and can be exhilarating. Sometimes they can be actually telepathic, and the beings encountered during them seem "real" and conscious, on other planes. 

As for the nightmare side of Neptune, it could be drowning, as in this sad report:

"More than 2,000 migrants have died this year trying to reach Europe from North Africa by sailing across the Mediterranean. And Thursday, that death toll rose markedly when officials reported a boat packed with about 400 people headed to Italy sank." That was on a day which I pointed out in the forecast as a heavy Netpunian day.If we find the better side of Neptune, our karma allowing, we shall not drown in our worries or anxieties but be uplifted, buoyed up by the universal consciousness which sustains us and grants at least internal fulfillment of desires and hopes better than any drug.

Let us hope and pray that the migrants who have suffered and drowned under these aspects are finding Neptune's blessing of bliss on The Other Side.

If you need extra rest, meditative renewal, or simple blessed sleep today, you ought not to feel guilty about that. Some times are cut out for more of that than other times. With the moon expanding toward the Full (exact Saturday), our consciousness is wide and full and our dreams could be very revealing. Because Venus is retrograde, we may reconnect psychically or spiritually with those gone from our lives either because "dead" (not really) or otherwise absent from us, with those who live on in our memories--with whom we can be in actual telepathic communion. Neptune increases those possibilities.

Keeping up with work is well and good also, of course, with other planetary placements requiring that of us, such as the lasting T square focused on Saturn in Scorpio. I have mentioned in the past week that you might have figured out or set up for yourself financial planning of a positive sort. I hope that has worked out for you, but could say that this is the last day for it because we enter the Dark Hermetic Epoch on Saturday (for two months). It is nothing to fear but it makes clearcut planning more sloppy or hard to set in place.

The lunar square with Saturn increasing all day makes us conscious of our limits and of the need to be realistic about work and money. It does not have to be debilitating worry unless we let it.

It might be said that the opposition from Neptune in Pisces to Jupiter and the sun in Virgo works out as a teeter-totter and balancing between work (Virgo) and dreaming (Pisces). Both are valid and valuable but of course the work seems more essential on the material plane, and we ought not to shirk it. We could take great pleasure in it because the sun and Jupiter working together in that sign point out a prospering path. Then when done with that, the Neptunian dreams . . . I hope you enjoy them . . .

}Peculiar Humanity of our Odd G*d{

It could be a more social day than yesterday, although the individuals with whom you relate could have problems which are mysterious to you or hard to fathom. Isn't that the case with almost all friends, even with mates or partners?  How often do we really understand one another? Natal astrology is the big answer here, but I have not yet met an astrologer aware of the enormous complexities birth charts reveal or of how much further we could take that knowledge if we tried harder. Psychologists and other students of human beings or human nature will never get off the ground in their understanding until they encompass judicial (horoscopic) astrology at a very deep (not superficial) level. I do not waste precious time waiting for them but get on about my business.

Suffice to say, for today, that you will have to make allowances for the peculiarities of people. Their predilections seem odd. Yet we need to keep the faith that if we are with certain persons, even if we do not seem to have chosen them, there is a reason for that--there is something for us to learn from those particular individuals. That is placing trust in the Cosmic Order which, according to the Good News or gospel of astrology, is reflected in the motions and positions of the planets of our solar system. And it is placing trust in the Supreme Wisdom of the Supreme One. Of course to some extent we can choose our friends and companions, but not completely. On this particular day (and many others), if you think "Why am I spending time with this peculiar person?" perhaps you should take it on faith that there is a reason and that while you might think someone else would be better for you, the Cosmos or its Lord has arranged it so that this is the person you are with and there is something to be gained from that.

I learned a lesson about this from Sri Nityananda, the revered guru of Swami Muktananda. At this time when Venus is retrograde, we revert to previous friends, associates, books, or memories. I happened to run across Swami Muktananda's book about his beloved guru, entitled simply Bhagwan Nityananda. It impresses me as deeply as it did when I first perused it in 1980-81. This man, who wore nothing but a loin cloth or other loose clothing in the hottest and coldest weather of India, which he traveled on foot from end to end until he settled at Ganeshpuri, felt a deep spiritual love for everyone. I am mentioning him now because today Neptune occupies a very strong position in the chart, and we need to tune in to that Neptunian universal love. On pp.39-40 Swami Muktananda says:

"Each one used to ask Bhagawan Nityananda for what he wanted. On hearing someone asking for a child, another could laugh and make fun of him. His own inclinations being different, he would ridicule the other. But Sri Gurudev was the inner Ruler of all. He knew everyone's mind and therefore would not make light of anyone, but would grant his wish with equanimity. If someone asked to be relieved of a physical ailment, Sri Gurudev would never advise him to have yogic attainment instead. If someone, through lack of understanding, criticised such a person Sri Gurudev would not make any comment, but remained silent. Such criticism is stupid. . . . Sri Gurudev always gave a devotee just what he asked for. He saw the same pure Soul in everyone, without any distinction of high or low. For him, the same divine Spirit dwelt in every heart."

It's a slim little book. If you can find it anywhere I would recommend it. Or maybe I should order my copy before you get to it, because mine is falling apart and I feel quite sure it is out of print.

As mentioned, while Venus is retrograde (until September 6 but probably felt longer while it remains slow) we go in memory to past events and people. This has been happening in surprising ways with me. This morning for no reason I could discern I felt I was back in my college days and remembering friends and roommates then. Later it was my grandparents. For a whole day when I was very low in spirits, it was Sri Nityananda, who pulled me up marvelously with a tangible acceptance and non-judgmental love. I felt this strongly just by re-reading the book about him, looking at his photos and repeating his name with love and admiration. Yes, I believe in Jesus and called on Him too, but as in the previous paragraphs, sometimes a particular guide, teacher or helper is put upon our path and it would be foolish to spurn her or him.

Four stars because things are getting gradually better, or I should say easier. Language is impossibly complicated, so one would have to write long paragraphs covering metaphysics, ontology, cosmology and theology just to say anything intelligent. I use shorthand here, and trust you to use your good sense and intuition to make sense of it.

Everything is always good, in some metaphysical sense, although when we are going through ordeals we feel like slapping anyone who says that. Life is often disappointing, and some may have been angry at me when I said that without G*d they are nothing but worms. But that is true. Whether they like it or not.

But then, a general total and completely IDIOTIC ignorance of G*d is the cultural norm at the present time. Because He is too large for their pigmy brains, instead of expanding their minds to encompass Him people assume that because He doesn't' fit in their silly pigeonholes He doesn't exist. Idiots! 

They need to study the philosophers Plato, Leibniz, Hegel, Schelling, and Whitehead, not to mention the super-Yogi Sri Aurobindo, all of whom tried their darndest to explain what the Highest is, and they succeeded, each in his own way--but their readers fail. 

"An undevout astrologer is mad" said a medieval proverb. Even an undevout astronomer, biologist, geneticist or physician is beyond my comprehension--they are not playing with a full deck. 

Things are getting apparently better, to the human perspective.

If you aren't figuring out, picking up on, shrewdly figuring, or otherwise taking advantage of financial or business conditions, you are missing something. Even if it's just your personal budget, you can be on top of money while Mercury is exactly sextile Saturn while at a critical degree, and Saturn in Scorpio one of the two basic money signs, and the moon in Capricorn sextile to both of them. Get your show on the road, your financial show, your budget, your investments or whatever you care about in terms of money. You can do it, today.

And this could be important because, contrary to what I said yesterday, we are NOT in the Dark Hermetic Epoch yet--it begins Saturday the 29th. I am sorry for that mistake: Apologies. I have had a harrowing week and it is almost a miracle that I am even able to write these forecasts considering what I have been through. But things, as has been said, are getting better. I said in the forecast for Tuesday that luck was improving, and so it turned out, in a big way, for myself. I hope for you also. But we need to take advantage of this special window because it may not last long. Today could be a day of opportunity. This could be somewhat true at the social or friendship level as well as the money level, but you would have to deal with friends' issues and problems to some degree.

It's the "long hard pull," with Saturn at point focus of a T square, in Scorpio. What has been troubling you for weeks could get a solution or reach a definite point of conclusion or decision. This may not be romantic, but it makes you feel you know what you are doing. That is good, because beginning the 29th we may wonder about that. So if we get ourselves together solidly now, we will avoid falling apart then. What you see and figure out now can be set up as a realizable agenda you can hold on to.

\The Doable is Pleasing/

The lunar aspects do not deserve more than three stars, but general aspects among the planets are improving. The square of the sun with Saturn is loosening. Sol is moving to a conjunction with Jupiter, a favorable omen. In Virgo, it denotes orderliness and self-training or self-control (I would say self-discipline except for slightly unfavorable connotations). Mercury's sextile with Saturn, from Virgo to Scorpio, is nearing exactness and is, as mentioned, an ability to detect or smell out advantages, some of them financial. As I write late Monday, the futures trading in the stock market looks very good for Tuesday, although there is no guarantee. Of course it would take more than a day to recover the heavy losses of last week and Monday.

Mars and Venus getting closer by the day in Leo suggest past loves returning, or memories at least, or good friendships which happen serendipitously, either old or new. 

We are in the Dark Hermetic Epoch of two months, beginning last Saturday. Those of you who have been reading these forecasts for years know some of what that means. It is not really too subtle to be detected by the average observer, but it seems some people have mental blocks which prevent them from noticing what is going on. For example, on Monday I was inspired to write about an old friend and post a rather lengthy remembrance of him online for others in a group to read and ponder. With both Venus and Mercury retrograde, we will all be doing similar things, recalling the past and its good as well as painful episodes and the people we care about whether they remain in this world or another one.

There is a drift to the time, with these two planets retrograde, a sort of holiday mode, a relaxation from ordinary routines insofar as possible. Of course this should not be carried too far, and probably shall not since the sun, Jupiter and Mercury are all in Virgo, an indicator of punctiliousness. 

The moon in Capricorn adds even more to the aroma of orderliness. Yet the Part of Fortune in the fifth sector points to happy moods and entertainment within limits.

Feet on the ground but head in the sky is a feasible posture with Luna in solid practical Capricorn sextile Neptune in mystical Pisces.

The planets are settling into a locomotive-shaped chart with Mars in high focus, suggesting better luck than we have had of late. Yet Saturn remaining at point focus in a T square assures that we will remain cautious and careful.

There is mostly good news in this report. Venus will have separated from her square with Saturn (where did love and money go?) by the midpoint of the fortnight. Love and money may seem more accessible, yet a little peculiarly so since Venus remains retrograde (until September 6). Her trine with Uranus spells freedom in fascinating ways, in social experimentation for example. People are not afraid to be who they are, to manifest and express themselves. 

The above was mostly true for me and those whose lives have intertwined with mine, though I believe it was too optimistic. "Love and money" being "more accessible" might seem like a pipe dream when the stock market dropped by something like 6 per cent in a week. I should have paid more attention to the "new" (as of this half-month, by the ten-degree Ptolemaic orbs I use) T square focused on Saturn in Scorpio, with the sun and Jupiter on one side and Neptune on the other. This is very tough and it continues. But my timing was also correct in that I said "Venus will have separated from her square with Saturn (where did love and money go?) by the midpoint of the fortnight." 

Well, the midpoint was the 23rd, Sunday, and the huge stock market fall came the week before that. But, as said, I do not predict the market, so whether it shall rebound in the coming week remains a mystery.

As for "people not being afraid to be who they are, to manifest and express themselves," that I believe was true, though not always comfortable. I let out a lot of anger yesterday, for example, in communicating with a friend who attends the same church I do, partly because I do not see eye to eye with him on some major theological points. I myself was shocked at the intensity of my explosion.

Jupiter and the sun remain squared to Saturn, which intensifies responsibilities. "Too much to do" is the theme song, yet if one gets daily tasks done one will then be able to take advantage of what was set forth in the preceding paragraph. 

I believe that "too much to do" is in fact a common complaint and I do not see it being reduced for the rest of this half-month. 

People are concerned  about money, business and income, and feel held back by conditions. The stock market is not behaving happily for investors lately and many are predicting a "bear market"--not a crash but perhaps a slow backward movement or stagnation, or volatility which is scary for investors even if it ends up where it began. I do not predict the Market here. But Saturn's position at point focus of a T square in the money sign Scorpio does not suggest an easy time for investors.  No kidding!!! Perhaps the indexes will be higher at the end of the month than they are now, but on the way there could be precipitous peaks and abysses. It's a time when every investor needs a clear strategy to hold on to rather than to make precipitous moves.  Indeed, and I myself fared no better than the average investor, probably, despite this prediction. 

The same applies to business and career. Prestige is elusive. There is some distrust or uncertainty about what people are doing or their motives. This will not be disastrous unless there is in fact some "bad karma" stewing in a poisoned pot. If your own ethics are clean, you can ride the storm and watch others struggle against the currents they themselves have set in motion by greed or questionable ethics. The sun moving toward a trine with Pluto in earth signs suggests that business conditions could be solid, when on the up-and-up, for Sol is also conjoined to Jupiter (in Virgo). There could be slow painstaking success in negotiation.

All that seems correct to me. I invite comment or disagreement if sincere.

Jupiter has been in Leo for the past year, but entered Virgo on August 11. This was amazingly meaningful for me, because my friend who has been going through severe addictions to alcohol and nicotine told me the evening of the 10th that he was going into a rehabilitation center the next day, and I saw him off on the 11th, just hours after Jupiter entered Virgo! For the past year he has been in his most flamboyant party mood, smoking and drinking to his heart's content (except for brief periods of self-control). Now he will be cut off from both drugs for a whole month in the treatment center, and he went to it just after Jupiter left the party-loving sign Leo for the sober temperance-insisting sign Virgo! Astrology is truly amazing. (He and those who helped him into the program of course knew nothing about Jupiter's positions.)

He remains incommunicado, except perhaps with his parents or in an emergency, and I know this would be very hard for him so all I can do is pray.

More about that: Just last night (as I write) I attended the group of Seattle astrologers I enjoy whenever it meets, and two of the members announced that they are just beginning to collect an amazing set of books for an astrological library available to all for research. Virgo is an intellectual sign and a sign of academic work or study and research, among other things. This is a new project and it is beginning with Jupiter's ingress into Virgo. Now you might ponder what is going on in your own life of a similar nature. A health regimen and a study regimen both might be good for you. Jupiter remains in Virgo until September 2016.

Yet Venus and Mars both remain in Leo, so we have not lost our party mood at all, we just have the other temperate moods added to it. In fact, Venus is backing into Mars! Hmm. Since they are in Leo a major sign of sexual attraction among other things, you can see what this might mean, and it is beginning during this annular hour or fortnight. It will continue through September, and also their trine with Uranus in Aries (first paragraph). No promises, but at least it is good to be open to more fun and social experiment than were available in the first half of August. Life could be interesting.

One area where "fun and social experiment" are turning up is the earliest-ever focus on the Presidential election cycle and the candidates, including of course the headline-grabber Donald Trump. He fits right in with the above paragraph because his verified birth chart has Leo rising and Mars in Leo in the first house. That is a lot of Leo (his sun-sign is Cancer) and he seems to be basking in Leonine pride and confidence, for a time at least. These are available also to everyone, in some form or another, although the sun enters Virgo late Sunday-early Monday, because both Mars and Venus remain in it and shall be conjoined there close to Donald's ascendant (17 Leo). Whether you love or hate him, you can participate in your own "party" of personal brashness or euphoria to some extent.

Mercury goes into its Dark Hermetic Epoch on August 22, but remains in Virgo, the sign of its exaltation. Its sextile with Saturn in Scorpio suggests shrewdness of the mind, to be used either in business or academic work or study and research of any sort. You smell out and analyze hidden possibilities to your advantage. It is good to do this before the 22nd as much as possible, while we are in the Bright Epoch when our minds are more likely to be realistic and fine-tuned to actual possibilities. 

Yes the hidden possibilities have been smelled out by me, to some extent, and I note that a loss of morale and of good timing seemed to come on the 22nd itself, Saturday, but I shall struggle against that. I hope it is working out well for you.

I could say more, and shall, G*d willing, as we proceed. As before, I hope to issue an updated version of this half-month forecast by next weekend (done as best I could) trying to see where we're swimming while we're swimming (Neptune and Saturn in water signs).

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" say the Scriptures, and I agree, and that is perhaps an underlying reason of my tirade in yesterday's report--I fear that there is not sufficient fear of the Lord in the current generations, that is, not of Hell but of the hell of separation from Him because of overconcern with material or superficial values.  We are all subject to that to varying degrees but need to be alert to our souls' calls.

Let's try to avoid paranoia. That means, believe in the Scriptural promise, "Perfect love casteth out fear." We fear people because we cannot love them, ourselves, and G*d, supremely. When we can do that, the fear disappears.

You care about someone at a distance, perhaps male (or female later or tomorrow) who is young, learning, has lost a lot and trying to recover from losses whether financial or emotional. This person feels distraught. It's a crisis. How can you help? I leave that to you: Prayer is always appropriate as a beginning. G*d hears especially prayers directed sincerely for the benefit of someone you love, because they are selfless and so have more than self-power, they have G*d-power--if you commit yourself to them.

Much behind the scenes could be working out successfully, but we cannot see it now. Your mind has seen the truth about certain things which are a balustrade of safety in your career or your position in the world. Yet you may not fully trust what you have seen. It is wise to hold on to it as best you can. The spiritual and the financial (or material) seem to be at odds until we integralize them, pull them together by the power of the Spirit which links the spiritual and the material or financial in amazing ways. Then our lives become successful because they manifest what the Supreme Lord wants for us, which is omnipotent because omniscient. 

It is hard to talk of these things. If you try, but someone does not understand, do not blame yourself. He or she is learning, and will benefit by what you have said with a sincere heart. That benefit may be far down the road, while now he or she seems to spurn you and your words. If you trust to the Lord's mercy and instruction for everyone, you will see a good result for your friend later on, or perhaps sooner than you expected even if not today.

~Wise Career Strategy Plus Sexy Disappointments and Pseudo-Opportunities~

It's obvious that those who want to keep looking for "good days" or "easy days" with astrology are pretty much doomed to failure. I do believe that in planning a party, a wedding, or a special date (get-together) or outing, it would be good to choose a "smooth" day with as few problems as possible--not in the |difficult third|, not in the Via Combusta, not during a void-of-course time (although that is often not as bad as the other two), and when Venus is not square Saturn, preferably not sun square Saturn, and preferably a good aspect between the moon and Venus or the sun or Jupiter on the day in question (by an orb of let's say 8 or 10 degrees). If you pick such a day for a special event, you will probably not be disappointed. But such days have been very rare recently, with the long-term square between Venus and Saturn and now the 20-day square between the sun and Saturn. 

But life goes on, and in these reports my mission is and ought to be not just to point out when you can eat your candy without upsetting your digestion, but to show you how to ingest the bitter herbs on the days you can't avoid it and still come through happy, peaceful, and spiritually secure.

A tall order.

But we keep trying.

There is poignancy. People are mourning lost loves, and feeling bitter about some who seem to have betrayed them. Yet love is in the air. How to explain the contradiction? Hope springs eternal! And Venus is moving backward to a conjunction with Mars in Leo the sign of (more or less) love and pleasure. (It is much more than that of course.) 

Today you may pay special attention to ideas, knowledge, learning, and communication as difficulties which become points of learning rather than of dissatisfaction if you attend to them faithfully.

You may be aware of points of knowledge and expertise in your career area, of which you are the master, in which you have expertise. 

People who are, or feel, imprisoned get your sympathy. Can you visit them? Then try, either now or soon. Or can you write to them or call them? Good idea. They need to know someone cares and that they are not stuck forever in their own self-imposed or other-imposed confinement.

Attractions and infatuations are funny. They happen without apparent cause, out of the blue. Sometimes they are desperation. Sometimes they are a shot in the dark. Cupid does that. And often he misses, but the misses are curiously interesting.

More smartly and wisely, focus on your career area. You are very good at it. Don't give up on it. Your perceptions and strategies are likely to be "on" at this point. Write them down or get them in rememberable order before the Dark Hermetic Epoch begins a week from tomorrow (August 29).
