One thing to say about the election is: Generally during a Dark Hermetic Epoch voters are reactionary rather than progressive, that is, looking for their salvation to the past rather than the future. That would appear to be what they were doing this time. They REact and REject and often vote REpublican during a REactive period such as the Dark Hermetic Epoch. (I hope I don't have to say again that the DHE extends on both sides of the Mercury Retrograde period by almost three weeks. It has a lot in common with the former. It ends on next Sunday-Monday.)

As he lies without strength or incentive he wonders what

His life has meant. A total delusion? His efforts

Have been futile. Birds sing in the garden. He crawls

Toward it to hear them better, to drown in their happiness.

He knows he can't depend on alcohol or any outer

Stimulation, but needs a boon companion, so calls his

Friend to join him in a drink. They carry on, and on,

Jovially sharing sympathies and indiscretions.

Intoxicated, he proposes a journey, a vacation

Fearless in places neither has yet explored.

Could this be? Or would they, rudderless,

Be hulks battered on a foreign shore?
