~Judgment~

They call themselves seahawks rather than gulls,
Attached to the ships which visit the harbor.
On one deck a nearly nude lady reclines,
Tossing them snacks while she drinks herself silly.

When she's had quite more than enough she feels drawn,
Pulled, newly invaded by some dark spirit.
It's wild, impolite, coarse, shocking to
Other passengers. Yet honest. She tells them all off.

A man on the deck hearing her rant castigates
Her. Another who finds her charming disputes
That harsh judgement. The cane he carries
Conceals a dagger. This affray could end badly.

Actually it looks like a pretty ordinary day, but the quatrains could hint at something going on beneath the surface. At the risk of repeating myself, let me say the sextile between Mars and Venus has been in evidence in my experience and observation as friendliness, good will, cheerful spirits and sharing, and yes, love in one of its myriad guises. It goes on for the rest of this month and the first week of November, with a peak in the middle of October.

^Tolerance^

The Full Moon approaches, exact tomorrow. Heightened awareness on many levels at once.

During the Easter parade an observer stands on a high
Promenade, arms folded, ready to pounce on someone
Attractive with invincible presumptuous courage. He's
Amazing in his own eyes. The paraders want ceremonial rebirth.

Is she a pig? She lies there listless. A thinker
Passes by. He has wondered at her harmless,
Ambitionless, appetite-laden torpor. His studies
And discoveries have made him tolerant, however.

This centaur owns a bow and arrow, but no
Father. He has visited distant lands, conversed and
Played with diplomats, fools, and wise ones.
He simulates their vices and their virtues; grins and pleases.
