Sun in Scorpio; Moon in Sagittarius; Foci in 1, Possessions and Allies and 11, Friends and Hopes ****

They rejoice in and contemplate the stained-glass windows, settled
In this church for decades. Drinking a toast to the artist,
Set out in cups of wine, they go too far.
And then a bomb goes off. One window's shattered.
It had happened before. The artist had to re-begin
His work three times, while his windows vaunted
Three symbols of faith and hope and charity.
Would he now repair this window once again?
Because when the sun hit his windows they dazzled the eye,
Some who passed by felt the lack of such dazzle
In themselves--of faith, hope, and love--and slandered
The church and the artist. The window was repaired.
