Is this serpent a woman or this woman a serpent? She distracts
The one who ponders the crescent moon drifting near a companion
Shining star. Her fascination competes with the sky. Which
Will attain a distinction craved? They wonder.
The priest questions if this boring assignment
Will really please the bishop or God, but carries on
Relentlessly. "Take up your cross" is his motto.
At least there is quiet, a robe, a lighted cloister window.
