His detective has scanned likely opponents
Hiding in shadows. His horse can traverse a wall
With the best of parkour devotees. He speculates
Upon his course: Be amazing and fruitful in
War and in peace, defeating the dark ones who plot
Cruelty! His path leads seaward where he observes
A little girl play with a dolphin, while in the ship's hold
A sailor lies pale on his deathbed. His friend, mournful,
Hardly can keep up with duties. The crew carries on,
Demanding perfection to countercheck sorrow. The hazard
Of life requires true instruction; our man is now ready
To meet every fate and exscind false desires while he
Travels where noble destiny leads his career.
