We are getting our bearings in the New Year quite successfully. The square between the two "malefic" or rather challenging plansts, Saturn and Mars, shows that we want to keep our feet on the ground realistically. This is possible more on Tuesday than Wednesday, the latter being a day-long void-of-course period. Outreaching, proposals, deals, and anything involving other people's reactions or choices are better on Tuesday; Wednesday is good only for reliable routines free of major risk; and then, when prudent, relaxed enjoyment so long as one does not stumble.

Path III

You are drawn to fantasy, comedy, maybe television series which mimic the foibles of humanity, or movies, books or plays of such a nature. This is good clean fun. It expands the mind and sensibilities. People need to release themselves in a way which gets friendly acceptance. If it goes wrong, it can rankle, offend, stir up warlike reactions (as in the case of those who have offended Muslims stupidly). Humor reveals a lot about the humorist. If he is humane, his humor releases self-recognition and happy laughter; if perverse, he mocks people who are doing their best to live good lives in difficult situations.

You may develop some wonderful skill of mediating, through diplomacy: relating to those of differing cultures or beliefs, helping them come together over some limited goals. You see both sides and bring them together. That is one small step toward the integration of humanity into cooperativeness. It helps cure arrogance as well as mourning and sorrow.

Path II

You can forge through differences of opinion in a high-minded manner. You want to link with a wide variety of people and this keeps you moving. However, you might be cold, at least within yourself, to anyone whose intellect does not give you anything valuable to think about.

Keeping good records at home and in your work is a big help. It dissolves some of your worries.

You enjoy one or more of the arts, alone or in company. Beauty boosts your idealism and gives your mental powers wings.

Does the toil never end? At least you sense that it might, that some important phase of your ceaseless toil may be completed now or soon, and therefore you will enjoy good fortune you have been waiting for. You mourn that many do not understand you or your way of thinking and doing what is important to you. Yet about some things, perhaps the most important, you know you are right, and so you stand confident and self-possessed.

Some individuals are harsh, even perversely or sadistically cruel. They enjoy seeing someone suffer. This is something we all need to guard against in our inmost consciousness. The moment you notice that you are pleased because someone is unhappy you need to correct the attitude, praying for happiness and good outcomes for all.

An almost opposite of that is a lonely, self-pitying feeling, as if separated from anyone who could appreciate you. Of course, you feel, you deserve that attention! Whoever enters your thoughts as the absent one you long for is someone important to you. You could link with that person telepathically and cease feeling utterly lost.

Path I

Companionship is essential at certain moments, whether directly or indirectly through telepathic links. We do that more than we realize when watching TV or movies. At a more basic level there is the charm of the body and personality, which may get your attention at this point. You appreciate your persona more the more you appreciate others', and vice versa.

Some of that mutual ogling might be vain, yet important, since believing in beauty or glory is essential to manifesting it. Another level of vanity is the semi-spiritual, when we imagine ourselves ethically or piously superior to someone else. This is one of those traps, called "the spiritual ego," we fall into before we even notice it. However, the man or woman who makes intelligent sacrifices for G*d, humanity or friends is truly holy, perhaps the more so the less aware of it.
