6 Successful ventures arise from definition, that is, your ability to define what you are doing and how. Your methods are working. Nevertheless you may be interested in history, archeology or something which excavates some aspect of the past (passed). Sometimes we need to catch up with the passed. At the best a biography or biographical film can reveal character in a way which inspires emulation of the best it exemplifies.
Those who are leaders or standard-bearers might not be pleasant companions. Their work is all-consuming. Nevertheless, around them can spring up festive occasions within which one uncovers colorful friendship and good fortune. This is a recompense for whatever is tedious in public figures.
The bulk of normal work hours are in the void-of-course period. You could feel disoriented. You might be nervously exhausted, or disconnected from what you feel you ought to do. Blogger is screwed up, people. It is a mess. It changes the colors of my typeface here from green to black, from one font to another, and changes the size of the font. It runs paragraphs together. I cannot spend an hour trying to fix it--and then finding that it is not really fixed and I have wasted an hour. I need to find a better format for these forecasts.
I have no desire to make things complex, complicated, or riddling. I aim at clarity. However, over the decades during which I have written daily forecasts (originally for Sterling's Magazines, for more than a decade), I have been forced to take a large number of factors into consideration in order to get accuracy. Fewer words would make for more clarity, but less accuracy. So, I suggest that in order to deal with the plethora of observations in each forecast, you read it through and select the paragraph or paragraphs which "hit it" for you. That way you will not get lost in considering matters which won't help you on that particular day. Or, at times you may find that you select a sentence here and there from several or all paragraphs. It can be an experiment, and I hope an interesting and helpful one for you.

Many of your worries are unreal, although you do need to be aware of the most obvious dangers and circumvent them, as by taking care of paperwork, bills, and communications. It is one thing to read about them in a novel or watch them in a film, another to face such danger in person. Fortunately few of us have to, but you may feel someone has something against you and would like to hurt you. Occultists and mystics teach us to uplift such worries to a higher plane where we pray for our supposed enemies and bless them. This, if sincere and persistent, can remove their power to hurt. You may also realize that some of your worst enemies are your own passionate desires which have brought you misery, and let some of them go gladly or transmute them.
6 Ingratitude is hard to face. People don't even realize when they are ungrateful. Some whom you aid, supervise or govern, if you have a position where you do that, may treat you with seeming contempt even if you are trying to be good to them. Yet you have to carry on because this is your position, your career or project. I am very grateful to all of you who have been reading these forecasts, and sometimes commenting on them, for years. It is wonderful to have such support from all of you. I have said, very seriously, that if nobody at all read these reports, I would still write them, for G*d and myself. Often people are astounded that I think G*d would want forecasts from Cosmic Piper! My understanding of Him is that He is working with and through the human race, century after century, eon after eon, for purposes we can hardly conceive, but in which we can participate. For the chemist it is for better chemistry. For the florist, endlessly pleasing bouquets. For the baseball player, a better batting record. For myself, more accurate and helpful forecasts. Yes, I believe G*d cares about the progress of the human race in every ethical and good way, and so about the progress of astrology--which, in its real essence, hardly ever discerned, is truly a sacred science, the science of the Magi who visited Jesus and Mary at the advent of our Christian era.
And so I press on. I did not write a regular forecast for this weekend, other than the important data above, because I needed some time off to improve my methods. I improve them regularly, week after week, month after month, year after year. That is, I try to do so; you and the Supreme Lord are the judges of that. This time a major reconstruction required more time.
The reports will be in a somewhat different format when they re-begin on Monday January 21. I hope to post that forecast, and the following one for Tuesday, on Sunday this week. I hope to post them every other day, two days included in each forecast. But I have gone back to a "daily" format instead of the "Sol-Lunar 2.5-day period" format we have been using for a few years. I won't say much about that until we get started; I am of course interested in your comments and criticisms as we go along.

There is a desire to codify or make definite and certain anything you are concerned about. This could include paperwork, writing, editing, budgeting, and financial records. You have a gift now for doing this accurately and staying with it until it is done right.
Mysteries can be solved. Anyone whom you look to as teacher, guide, expert or authority is likely to be shining in your mind and helping you in a strong way to get your thinking and living in order. It seems that very few in any generation are given such authoritative directive or guiding capacity, and when we know of one we do well to heed his or her directives.
You might look to natural scenery around you, whether bodies of water, mountains, or winter views, and let it uplift you into "the peace that passeth understanding." That helps you carry on peaceably with whatever you are trying to do.
There can be secrecy, because you know some things are better left unmentioned. This could be in personal life but also in business or government service. ~The Most Fortunate Focus~
You may be realizing something about your basic methods of living, thinking or being faithful. To what am I faithful? is one question to which you may be getting answers. How do I really do this particular thing I want to do well? is another question which seems to be answering itself. You are seeing how to do things which have been a puzzle in the past. This could be major, because Mercury is close to conjoining the sun at the temporal center of this Bright Hermetic Epoch (December 14 through February 7). You are "at center" in much of your thinking and perception, and can trust what you are seeing. It might be good to write some of that down as an anchorage to use in the future.

Everything seems sunny, bright, and easygoing. What is not to like? You know you have reserve forces of strength when you need them, but do not feel you must unleash them at this time because you are able to be thoughtful, genial and peaceful in your relations with everyone and so enjoy calm good fortune. Those in power, financiers, businesspersons, and government officials will likely be fair with you if you approach them wisely.
Desiring to be courteous and gracious to all, you finesse situations which might have been stumbling blocks. We have two days in a row, Monday and Tuesday, when the moon is not void-of-course but forms helpful aspects; so you could press forward with business and enjoy solid progress which relieves worry. Approaching those you need to approach should work out well.
If there is a warning it is: Stay on the up-and-up, and use methods you know to be reliable. If you were to fiddle with "interesting" methods which may be wrong or inadequate, you could pass up the chance for gain. It is not good to rely on something which will fail you. People are needing to feel a part of something larger than themselves. We demonstrate values for one another whether we realize it or not. Then each of us appropriates some of the qualities he sees outside of him, if they catch his interest and approval consciously or subconsciously. Some people find themselves imitating the mannerisms of actors or actresses in TV series, for example. There is nothing wrong with that if it aids self-expansion and self-development. Friends pick up mannerisms, gestures and thoughts from one another.
At a more somber level there is a need to protect oneself from unwanted qualities perceived around one. Parents get frantic about the "bad company" of their teenagers. This makes sense, often, but adults also are sucked into modes of thinking and feeling they would reject if they thought about them more deliberately. You can protect yourself from crisis by minding your own business and making sure others do the same if they intrude. More happily, someone may take a friendly, protective attitude toward you, aiding you in establishing yourself in a position of greater ease and comfort.

You are "at center" in much of your thinking and perception, and can trust what you are seeing. It might be good to write some of that down as an anchorage to use in the future.

Everything seems sunny, bright, and easygoing. What is not to like? You know you have reserve forces of strength when you need them, but do not feel you must unleash them at this time because you are able to be thoughtful, genial and peaceful in your relations with everyone and so enjoy calm good fortune. Those in power, financiers, businesspersons, and government officials will likely be fair with you if you approach them wisely.
Desiring to be courteous and gracious to all, you finesse situations which might have been stumbling blocks. We have two days in a row, Monday and Tuesday, when the moon is not void-of-course but forms helpful aspects; so you could press forward with business and enjoy solid progress which relieves worry. Approaching those you need to approach should work out well.
If there is a warning it is: Stay on the up-and-up, and use methods you know to be reliable. If you were to fiddle with "interesting" methods which may be wrong or inadequate, you could pass up the chance for gain. It is not good to rely on something which will fail you. If you refuse to rush ahead with over-ambitious methods which might just waste everybody's time and then make you feel foolish, instead remaining humble, doing what you see as your duty or mission with pride in it, all will go well.

You feel things deeply. You may not know how to put them into words, or express them at all, although music or poetry could do it, or gestures and facial expressions which many will not notice or comprehend. You do it anyway for an invisible audience.
Fortune is smiling on you. Some of your plans, and past efforts, are bearing fruit, if not in a spectacular way then in a way which is promising and reassuring. Communicating with those at a distance could be helpful.
What is "bad company"? You have to decide for yourself. You could gravitate toward it and lose time and energy in pointless pastimes such as gambling or game-playing when more practical pursuits would really help you. If you make the right choice there will be angelic help to lift you up the mountain of higher aspirations. Partial fulfillment of a mission is a great and deep joy.
Self-indulgence in intense desires of an erotic sort is quite possible. You will have to govern yourself in this matter as best you can, deciding when to let yourself glory in pleasures of the flesh and when to hold back. Something interesting and deep is going on in connection with loyalties and individuals you need as perhaps mothering or nurturing figures (and males can play that role as well as females). Someone may think of you as one to cherish and cling to. That may be surprising and flattering. Likewise you may need someone (whether on the spiritual or physical plane) in the same way.

People are needing to feel a part of something larger than themselves. We demonstrate values for one another whether we realize it or not. Then each of us appropriates some of the qualities he sees outside of him, if they catch his interest and approval consciously or subconsciously. Some people find themselves imitating the mannerisms of actors or actresses in TV series, for example. There is nothing wrong with that if it aids self-expansion and self-development. Friends pick up mannerisms, gestures and thoughts from one another.
At a more somber level there is a need to protect oneself from unwanted qualities perceived around one. Parents get frantic about the "bad company" of their teenagers. This makes sense, often, but adults also are sucked into modes of thinking and feeling they would reject if they thought about them more deliberately. You can protect yourself from crisis by minding your own business and making sure others do the same if they intrude. More happily, someone may take a friendly, protective attitude toward you, aiding you in establishing yourself in a position of greater ease and comfort.
