Forecast for Saturday 2 January 2010

Saturday 2 January 2010

*Celebration of Partial Relief*

Here comes the sun! with the moon conjoined to Mars in Sol's sign Leo.

I don't say it will be a sunny day, but repeat what I said mid-December at the time of the first heavy snow storms in the East, that by January 14 we should have warmer weather. Test me out this time as a weather-prophet. That warmer phase should last through February, although March may be cold or snowy in many places.

Today may feel nicer as a holiday than yesterday, with a feeling of freedom to enter into a changed or changing world. It has party potentials, more than New Year's Eve. It may be a thrilling sport or football day for those devoted to that pastime. You will also be thinking of career, however, and connections which might help in that area, with a somewhat ambitious urge toward pushing yourself forward in the new year, yet you are sullenly aware of the pitfalls involved. I would say, be ambitious, but take your time to get plans refined before setting them in motion either in late January or February. You can't push against the wind, but can study sail-setting, and by then see how the wind is blowing.

(I hope you will remember the previous two paragraphs because I will not be repeating such long-term forecasts every day.)

Anything is possible! Magic is in the air! Yet purity, even chastity, may be required to roll the magic up into a ball from which it may be sprung on the world.

It might be fascinating to look around you at "the world" and people. Actually people are more real than "the world" because the world of our artifacts is, without exception, created and maintained by people. (G*d created the people; as usual, we put him in parentheses.) So without people, no world (except Nature: good luck facing it alone without clothes, dwelling or tools), and without G*d, no people. (Sorry Darwinists, the genetic code is not G*d. It would do your slimily evolved brains a great deal of good to read philosophers such as Plato, Plotinus, St. Thomas Aquinas, George Berkeley, Hegel, Berdyaev, Sri Aurobindo and Alfred North Whitehead, all of whom explained G*d in ways you will never understand if you keep your noses buried in cellular microscopes. And all of whom had brains, evolved by G*d, more complete than yours.)

Looking at "the world" and people as a sight-seeing investigator, you may re-find yourself in multiple manners.

Where would you like to be as a guest? Someone who has a wonderful home and is a magnificent, sympathetic but frank host could invite you, or you could invite yourself--or maybe you are that wonderful host issuing an invitation.

Slowly we are escaping from the worst aspects of the winter, the squares of Pluto, Venus, and the sun with Saturn (although Mercury lags behind for unfinished karma). You see in life and people illimitable variations, all interesting but some you don't need to mess with. So you are free to choose; yet are likely to choose, wisely, associates familiar, whether you call them friends, family, community, colleagues, or teachers and students. We're in this thing, 2010, together.
