\Determination Toward Fulfillment/

Moon in Aries-->Taurus
|Karmically serious, sobering, challenging third| of this week is with us until Monday evening
/moon is void-of-course (precise time given yesterday)
until it enters Taurus at 5:29a PT | 8:29a ET | 12:29p UT

Challenge:  The |Karmically difficult third| of this week hitting the holiday weekend precisely seems like some perversity of the cosmos, or of the planet Saturn, as if they were mocking humanity's attempt to have a festive weekend.  Let's just take it as a clue to have a more low-key, unambitious holiday weekend rather than an ostentatiously planned thrilling one.  People are needing recovery from stress.  'A broken wheel lies upon the ground, while a horse grazes nearby.'  This can be laissez faire drift, or aimlessness, or holiday relaxation.  However, to be frank, Mars exactly square Uranus can be fuming anger, symbolized by 'a bomb exploding in mid-air.'  Someone who seems pernicious, a pest, could disturb one's peace.  But life goes on and character develops.

Process:  Insofar as one does not feel like just relaxing into the holiday one might have 'one hand flexed with a very prominent thumb.'  One must 'rule one's environment or surrender one's potentialities forever' says Dr. Jones.  This sounds like what we in the U. S. celebrate this weekend, escape from tyranny through utter determination.  (Many believe that our current tyrant needing resistance is the Chinese Communist Party.)  At a more delicate or artistic level we might be 'glass blowers,' 'privately manifesting the divine breath,' manipulating materials through the heat of living enthusiasm.  Such deftness brings into being 'the arts and crafts of a culture.'

Blessing:  Those longing for a peaceful, intellectual or spiritual day could have it; could somehow hold up loftily 'a caduceus between two moons, one crescent and the other gibbous.'  We are in the month of Cancer, Luna's sign, and its very symbol looks like two moons interacting with each other.  This emblem, says Sepharial, indicates versatility, and aptitude in gaining knowledge.  The caduceus of Hermes suggests language-skill or scholarship, though one's temper be changeful like the moon's.  One might live out 'tasteful but luxurious habits' accompanied by pride and self-display, as if one were living in 'a fine chateau with gardens and terraces.  In the foreground a peacock in full feather struts leisurely.'
