Challenge:  The two major oppositions mentioned frequently remain, and we have 'an oak tree broken by the wind; beneath it the skeleton of some dead creature.'  This seems perilous and could make us morose, yet we ought to 'keep sowing and building for the greater good' and 'give shelter to the worthless out of sheer goodwill.'  One's labor may yield little personal profit, and have some dangers, as if one were 'a man mining in the rock with a pickaxe,' honest but unimaginative, content to perform unambitious service.

Process:  Despite other indications of 'digging in the air and sowing to the wind' we have also 'a fine horse with curved neck and flowing mane prancing in the pride of his strength' so one might adopt such a noble, generous, kind-hearted stance.  One of the Avatars of Vishnu, according to Hindu teaching, was a horse, Hayagriva, representing knowledge and wisdom among other virtues.  .  

Blessing:  'A family tree' could represent the spiritual presence of your forebears in your blood.  You look to your endowment and manifest it in your distinctive manner.  This is integrity and gentility.  The T square focused on Uranus accents individuality and a sense of one's peculiar mission, that which no one else seems to 'get.'  'I have to do this to be me; sorry you don't understand.'  And so each day is a fresh beginning, with 'early morning dew' and the genesis of something better despite previous defeats.

\Entanglement, or Pure Sharing/

|Karmically serious, sobering, challenging third| of this week continues until Sunday afternoon

Challenge:  'A bomb exploding in mid-air' is not to be taken literally but suggests something pestilent or annoying, maybe upsetting, which is in accord with the sun's exact opposition with Saturn plus Mars's opposition with Jupiter.  Heat, fires some places, and 'culture wars' over politics, masks, vaccination and other matters are some of the symptoms, plus issues in your personal life which are hard to straighten out.  As for personal relations, 'a woman is blindfolded and a man is leading her.'  This could be dangerously seductive relations with the opposite sex, or indeed one's own, with unhelpful complications and entanglements.  

Process:  There can be mystery and the investigation of mystery.  When things seem too complex or contradictory to handle, we are drawn to the mystical, which provides quick or easy answers.  After all, G*d is always here waiting for us to acknowledge Him or Her.  About all that, one may be secretive, hiding one's most profound understanding, for each person's approach to the Unknown is unique.  Peering into others' secrets might also be the order of the day, or someone peering into yours, for 'a man peeps around a corner at a company of armed men who are reconnoitering.'  This could be mere curiosity but, better, a detail of strategy.  

Blessing:  Mercury is right with the sun, at this center of a Bright Hermetic Epoch (July 7 through September 5), and so one can plan things wisely and get a good handle on one's intentions, strategies, and agendas.  Although it's the |challenging third| of this week, one might still enjoy 'a fine chateau with gardens and terraces; in the foreground a peacock struts leisurely.'  This can be tasteful luxury, or mere show and appearance, with ostentation or snobbishness. One displays one's good fortune.  'A bride with her veil snatched away' is more than most of us would expect, but there could be an invitation to sharing experience with someone in a deeper manner.  Pure motives plus self-giving prophesy a high reward.

Process:  The sun's opposition with Saturn is defensive, and one may act like 'a hedgehog' in order to escape public gaze, ridicule or opprobrium.  'I am I, and have the right to remain I.'  At the same time one remains faithful to one's family, tradition, background, or heritage, as if one were 'a boy molded in his mother's aspiration for him.'  We come into birth and experience in order to fulfill our soul's matrix of development through a creative, self-exacting consciousness.  

Blessing:  There is a need for utility, with Mars and Venus both in Virgo while the sun opposes Saturn.  One can raise one's hand and point one's finger upward as if in command.  Flexible, one can fulfill several positions ingeniously or inventively.  When possible one could attend 'a festival, or an occasion for villagers assembling together in gala costume.'  One adapts oneself to the environment and its denizens, with a taste for shared pleasure, and the promise of friendship plus good fortune.

Challenge:  A wolf carries away a lamb, or there seems to be injustice.  A Bolshevik propagandist puts his finger on the injustice and claims to represent the lamb, but social and political concepts are battled over constantly.  They are leavening the mass consciousness but their advocates may not grasp an immediately fair, honest way of implementing them.  'A pyramid of red on a large open plane' represents strong passions plus strength of will, a never-say-die attitude which faces troubles adamantly.  [The previous paragraph may outline your preferred way of wrapping up the day.]

Challenge:  There are warnings of injustice, even of criminality, with 'a wolf carrying away a lamb.'  (Could this be President Biden, a wolf with a needle, issuing a mandate that government workers must be vaccinated with vaccines not approved by the FDA, which Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. Luc Montagnier [absolutely qualified experts] assert will make the virus MORE transmissible, not less? Everyone ought to be concerned when the government becomes the wolf and the citizens the lambs.) The opposition of Mars and Jupiter, said by CEO Carter to be the worst of all, is exact, and Mars is now in Virgo the health sign.  Many are re-examining their health regimens and diets or considering perhaps dietary supplements.  To add to problems we have 'a bag of money upon a table near to which stands a dark woman masked.'    This is actually good fortune, attracting friends and money, but the question is how to use all that without submitting to someone's machinations.  Charubel calls this 'seductive fortune.'  We are big boys and girls and can figure it out.  

Process:  Mercury approaches the sun, in other words we are near the center of this Bright Hermetic Epoch (July 7 through September 5), and we should be near the top of our form in comprehending plans and procedures.  Some of this is ordinary competence, and some is mysterious as if we were following a 'mundane cross' leading to the strange, the curious, or the sublime. To solve problems posed in the previous paragraph, there is 'a man's head' signifying personal integrity and inner ideals manifesting through self-accepted responsibility.  This is character and its implicit self-assurance.

Blessing:   'Two heads looking out and beyond the shadows' may start from uncertainty but find great light through human powers of transcendental comprehension.  Stereoscopic vision boosts intelligence.  Even if emotional tones are somewhat bleak, there could be 'a festival, or an assembling together of villagers in gala costume.'  Melancholy inside plus festivity outside is not an unusual combination.  There could be feasting, luxuries, sociability and conviviality.

Challenge:  There could be stagnation, procrastination, and whining, a disinclination to face challenges effectively.  What would help cure that could be 'the constellations in the sky,' that is, personal confirmation of one's course through a link with the illimitable cosmos.  (These reports are trying to do that.)  Someone you know who seems to be failing in some ways could be the one whining or stagnating, and perhaps you could assist by a constructive attitude.  A more universal perspective (the constellations or signs) can bring fortification and surety to activities.

Process:  We get ahead of ourselves with lofty hopes, wanting to be superior, as if we owned 'a scepter on whose crest shines a diamond like a magnificent star.'  Everyone is a central figure in some domain.  You may share dreams with someone you trust to keep secrets confidential.   You are 'a man making a futurist drawing,' setting up an experiment to carry out by expanding your mind and extending its powers.  

Blessing:  So you may be like an explorer or discoverer who constructs a temporary shanty in a new place.  While relaxing in it in the evening with a sage's lamp you get answers to profound questions.  That could calm the excitability of the Mars-Jupiter opposition (exact now).  Luna's trine with Sol in fire signs (Aries and Leo) brings forth 'rays from a transcendental sun' which impel us toward 'the greater good, the sublime.'  The symbol is 'a pyramidal figure with a Maltese cross on the top.'

Challenge:  One could get involved in activities with people who are not respecting one's time and energy but end up wasting it.  It is good to be aware of what one owes to oneself.  That might include study (moon trine Mercury) of things which have a mathematical basis.  Mars opposite Jupiter is conflicts and a desire to bring about decisions to mitigate or resolve them.  There can be 'emotionalism and restless excitability' according to CEO Carter.  He warns against excesses of spending, eating, or drinking---careless prodigality in general.  But the sun's concurrent opposition with Saturn could bring ameliorating common sense.  There are 'two crossed swords above a gauntlet, forming an escutcheon.' Political extremes cross each other.  Courage, strength and prowess could bring good fortune or plunge into danger.

Process:  Three planets (moon, Neptune, Jupiter) are in Pisces, including the two which rule it.  Pisces rules the feet and dancing.  'First dancing instruction' suggests a beginning of developing skill in the dance of life, and assistance which fosters it.  This can lead to a continuity of the given activity with more grace and prowess.  People are sensitive about their appearance, personality, even age group.  'An old-fashioned woman and an up-to-date girl' present contrasts, but their roles complement each other when understood.  Conventionality and initiative are both essential to developing human adaptation of values and promises.  They stimulate each other.  Dancing styles of old and young might vary yet fit together dramatically.

~Puzzling It Out, Plus Companionship~

Moon in Pisces

Challenge:  A cloud hangs over friendship and business, just because both are going through transitions.  It is hot in a lot of places, and there are fires, so we have 'Something like a forge beneath the surface of the earth.  A number of men are working, almost nude because of the heat.'  There are 'mathematical instruments on a table with a sheet of white paper' awaiting our use, as well as 'a room full of machinery and jars of chemicals.'  Scientists or would-be scientists and mathematicians are active.  Life is a puzzle and only the Ovrmind or Supermind sees all the pieces and how they fit together.  We meanwhile with our human minds puzzle it out.  

Process:  'Rock formations at the edge of a precipice' reflect the oppositions of Mars with Jupiter (accidents, at worst) and Sol with Saturn (depression leading to unwise motion born of frustration).  Initial aplomb and ultimate competency can save us from falling over the edge.  When we escape danger we may mount 'a merry-go-round,' trusting in the world's rotations and revolutions as entertaining diversion.  We can be receptive to every turn of opportunity and maybe grasp the golden ring (sun and Mars in Leo sign of gold).

Blessing:  There could be jealousy and envy, yet success which makes one feel that one has triumphed over those of whom one was jealous or envious.  There could be cupidity, cunning, and rivalry, symbolized by a snake coiling around a tree with its head raised.  The snake is anciently a creature of wisdom and subtle intelligence.  We long for relief from tensions and may find it in the guise of 'a man and woman playing together with fruits, flowers and wine upon a table beside them.'  There could be cheerful companionship linked with all kinds of pleasures.  Money comes and goes but spending it is accompanied by animal spirits, youthfulness, even love or its semblance..

Process:  Two major oppositions could make one feel like a soldier prepared for battle, of ready spirit, responding quickly to the call of duty.  Executive powers can be used effectively even during the 6-hour void-of-course period if this feels essential.  One may feel a servant more than a master while knowing that service is one's princely training school (Sri Aurobindo).  If ramifying details seem perplexing, still one can choose among them adroitly and know at a glance what is advantageous.  

Blessing:  Venus, planet of love, has some challenging aspects, yet two hands are linked in a close grip of friendship.  There can be a constructive, harmonizing and humane trend strengthening one's morale.  Even if alone, one might be dreaming of fairies, of personified powers which can manifest as men, women or children.  People smile at one another in a way which persuades towards intangible ends.  Imagination plus a little self-assertion summon fresh realities. 

Challenge:  A cat upon the watch for prey could be a big cat, a lion, a little household cat, or a human who is circumspect, a fast friend and unrelenting enemy, patient in accomplishing desires.  Let's hope the prey is something inanimate or incapable of suffering, like a vegetable!  (Or, if it is human affection, good luck with that.)  We all get what we need but some are more definite and conscious in their pursuit while others just wait and then give thanks.  A vocation is often called a pursuit.  Some may feel down today and need extra rest.  Expecting a lot from anyone is probably a mistake.  [The previous paragraph gives a happier ending.]

Process:  One might feel inconsequent and unreliable, wandering one knows not whither, like a wave-line of nebulous light.  What am I doing here, really?  But there are always possibilities of human interaction, and a colored child, or child of color if that is the politically correct designation, may play with a white child, or child of European descent if that is the politically correct designation.  If they think about the politically correct designations, their play will end while clouds cover the sky.  If a large stone falls on someone's head, let us hope this shall knock some sense into him or her.  "Pain is the hammer of the gods sculpturing men to greatness." -- Sri Aurobindo, Savitri

Blessing:  Even on a |diffcult third| day there is Daybreak, a genesis of fresh hope.  We capture and recapture life through the constant shifts of being.  A field of corn standing high and ripe is the lot of farmers now or soon; nature at least is reliable.  The simple elements of right thinking are rural virtues.  Competence and peace result in material produce.  In the town or city is a veiled statue for all to enjoy whenever it is unveiled, unfolding gradually the sublime and the glorious.  Creative enthusiasm, passion, and the mysteries of the arts bless the human race.

Challenge:  Fear can be the name of the intensifying opposition of the sun with Saturn, or apprehension, evident in some as worry about the so-called Delta variant of the virus.  Plus there are worries about the vaccines and their side effects or hidden long-term effects, and the experts do not agree.  This is Mars tri-septile Neptune, "Whom do I believe?"    Mars opposite Jupiter can be anger or possibly a heat wave, so that people retreat to air conditioning rather than the glories of nature. Mercury opposite Pluto is awareness of ways we can be exploited by Big Tech, Big Pharma, or other corporate entities, or by Big Government, and there are worries about the debt ceiling.  Some decide to take care of themselves or their appearance in a different way, like a woman having her hair bobbed or cut. Some 'wield a dagger,' that is, are restless, argumentative, quarrelsome.  [If you wish to end with a blessing, you may re-read the previous paragraph.]

Challenge:  An epidemic of mumps may be less threatening than Covid-19, but disagreements about how to deal with the latter are afflicting us just like the mumps, everyone with his own opinion making a weird face (Venus opposing Jupiter).  A man in a skull cap and mask is doing research on the matter, an investigator experimenting, or is that you and your researches into something of concern to you?  (Mercury trine Neptune inclines toward surprising discovery.)  Someone wielding a dagger may attack someone quarrelsome and argumentative.  Some keep opposing things and go through life like tornadoes, remarked but not esteemed. Yet they have some place in the cosmic plan not easily discerned except in afterview.  The |difficult third| of this week beginning today is a signal that we need to keep our faith, not our doubts, billowing in the wind.  

Process:  A pennant or streamer blowing in the wind is as vacillating as some of us, driven from opinion to opinion or nudged by prevailing sentiment.  Such weakness needs to find a firm, independent position on something  of weight in order to make any headway (moon conjoined to Pluto at the Full Moon).  By contrast an elephant with his castle on his back is cool, courageous, strong, defending and helping the weak (Sol and Mars in Leo).  His sagacity is a fortress for all fortunate enough to encounter him. 

Blessing:  Some, though they have a rostrum, do not speak out and miss their chance.  Others with the courage of their convictions realize they could be popular, and inspire others toward a dawn or daybreak, a promise of resurgence or fresh potential.  Two angels from the heavenly forces are bringing protection to the high-minded who reach toward eternal values.  This is security.  The Full Moon can be a genesis of heady plans having no apparent limit.

Challenge:  The selection from Sai Baba posted below makes clear that putting one's trust in riches is not the path to peace, as Jesus also taught.  It's not that poverty ought to be sought, either, but that one needs to place one's values where they cannot be injured by shifts of fortune.  Even some atheistic yet steady and grave individuals have embodied such an attitude.  Others refuse to accept any thwarting of their desires, and we have 'a case of apoplexy.'  A lack of inhibition brings on irresistible creativity and insistence on manifesting one's possibilities.  Is Sai Baba right, or the apoplectic?  Even Sai Baba has spoken of 'Sankalpa' or the Divine Will certain to manifest.  As a philosopher I demur and defer to your judgment. 

Process:  Mars opposite Jupiter, getting stronger (exact the last few days of July and early August), is said by CEO Carter to be the most difficult aspect of all.  It can be warlike--it was beginning by a ten-degree orb on 9/11/2001, and preparations for war began immediately.  Of course it does not have to be that way.  We have ''a man peeping around a corner at a company of armed men, who are reconnoitering.'  This could be those in the U. S. and elsewhere who are increasingly wary of the Chinese Communist Party, for example.  Charubel speaks of one who will suffer many trials or reverses of fortune but could 'leave behind a name on the pages of history.'  He is involved in the life of the people and forgotten, but emerges eventually.  The symbol is 'an obelisk.'

Blessing:  It's the first day of the month of Leo and 'There stands a lion upon an elevation looking toward a rising sun.'  Each of us manifests dignity in his or her own way.  There is self-reliance, fearlessness, nobility and freedom of nature.  If the heart is kind, all goes well through  self-control plus government of others.  When such confidence is raised to a spiritual level we have 'a large white cross upraised.'  This can be 'utterly selfless enlistment in some dramatic service for the ultimate welfare of mankind.'  Moral courage and psychological fearlessness are 'a corrective for the maladjustments of individual and society.'

The peace that has pervaded the heart must not be shaken subsequently for any reason; only that type of peace (shanti) deserves to be called supreme peace (prasanthi). Supreme peace has no ups and downs; it cannot be partial in adversity and complete in prosperity. It cannot be one thing today and another tomorrow. Always maintaining the same even flow of bliss (ananda), that is supreme peace.

Challenge:  Patience, firmness, and steadfastness are essential, as if one were 'plowing with an ox in a field, a thick wood at the back of it.'  The wood could be endless seeking and diversion, while the field, plow and ox are one's clear duty.  This can be a menial duty or an exalted one, such as being or associating with a government official 'lofty in his or her deportment.'  One feels that one's strength is coming to the fore, establishing one's position, but this should not 'go to one's head.' 

Process:  One has inherited a stature or status of some kind which is respectable.  Relying on an established tradition is strengthening, as if one were 'a Daughter of the American Revolution.'  There could be questions of trust, of allowing others to know one's secrets.  One has 'an unsealed letter' and might entrust it to someone who will not (one hopes) betray one's confidence by opening it.  There is spiritual integrity behind everything and everyone such that one can rely on their discretion.  True, one might be disillusioned, but suspicion is a poison worse than minor embarrassment.

Blessing:  Luna forming smooth aspects with Mars, Venus and Jupiter supports two positive symbols indicating 'prosperity through ordinary means' and 'the freedom and intuition of a young horse running across a field sniffing the wind.'  Some of this felicity may be laissez-faire; but there are also studied-out gains, indicated by 'an old sage sitting by his midnight lamp studying some grand problem.'  Profound intellect, mature judgment and a gigantic will sum up to 'a true magician.'

P. S.  These reports are for anyone interested in them, regardless of politics, religion, or opinion.  However, I would not be true to myself if I did not state:  

I acknowledge my experience of Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ, the Messiah, the Saviour.  

That does not mean that I disparage all other spiritual paths.  I have learned an enormous amount from the Hindu tradition, its saints, yogis and gurus, indeed its Avatars who to me are Sai Baba and Sri Aurobindo in their modern guises.  

Here is something from Baba Muktananda's book on his guru, Sri Nityananda:  "Great saints like Gurudev Nityanandaji come into this world for its emancipation under different names and forms.  Even after meeting such rare sages, ill-fated persons still remain as thy were, mere ciphers involved in petty-mindedness or selfishness.  Who could be more unfortunate than they?"

This supports, in a way, the Christian belief that if one rejects Jesus one is a lost soul.  Because for many in the West, Jesus is the only Avatar with whom they are acquainted, and if they cannot see or sense his divinity, where is their consciousness?

^Caution or Wise Choice in Connections^

Challenge:  A Yod configuration with Mars at point focus could be unsettling.  "What do I do with my abundant energy?" could be a question.  'A reversed triangle upon a red ground' shows passion and emotion, perhaps out of control.  One might 'suffer through the allurements of the other sex' or the same for that matter (unspeakable in Sepharial's day).  There are warnings about danger through water or 'the watery element.'  Charubel suggests that rather than following passions it would be wise to attend to something more abstract yet solid like mathematics.  

Process:  There could be excessive indulgence in pleasures and luxuries, though perhaps with fine taste.  Knowing when to stop would help.  As for more fantastic experiences, we have 'A mermaid.'  Dr. Jones's riff on the fish-lady is 'the nascent eagerness of the soul for a private and personal participation in every possible facet of self-fulfillment.'  Yet the previous paragraph warned against 'the watery element.'  Legends which state that mermaids' souls are not immortal unless they marry a human are suggested by the keyword Importunity.  The mermaid importunes a human to make her immortal.  What this may mean for you I leave to free-association.  

Blessing:  Venus tri-septile Neptune while bi-septile Uranus suggests as much complication as meeting a mermaid, so I am suspicious of affirming that this will be a good day for love-relationships.  In all things, patience is required, as if one were 'a large camel crossing the desert,' finding adequacy within oneself.  However, we have a splendid symbol:  'Two golden circles joined by a blue ribbon tied in a double bow.'  'It denotes one of a kind, benevolent nature, fortunate in marriage, who may marry twice.  He or she will make many and sincere friends, attain ambitions and find peace.'  The keyword is Union.

Challenge:  Mars and Venus together opposing Jupiter can be 'too much of a good thing' or scattered interests so that one is trying to do too much at once.  'An untidy, unkempt man' probably feels that he is very busy with more important things than grooming before a mirror.  His imperturbability may be a healthy disinterest in what other people think about him, or it could mean he is hoarding his time and neglecting common courtesies.

Process:  Choosing one's location for each moment and sticking with a good choice is important.  One does not have to venture far in order to discover 'a beautiful scene of the country, wherein all the elements conspire to enchant the eye and hold the spirit in a mood of silent adoration.'  Or in an urban setting this could be a lawn or park.  One might be 'gentle and thoughtful,' or connect with such individuals.

Blessing:  The moon's T square with Venus-Mars on one side and Jupiter on the other can be intense activity (maybe scattered, as in paragraph 1) and it can be good results of such activity, such as 'heaps of gold and silver coin.'  Of course not everyone grows rich but some will, and not everyone knows how to look after money, but some do.  It's a fortunate symbol for prosperity, at any rate.  At the social level, 'two hands linked in a close grip of friendship' sounds wonderful--amiability and goodwill.  Sepharial says it shows 'a rich, unselfish nature capable of those little greatnesses in daily life which make someone beloved.'  For any two individuals this can be a sustaining, harmonizing trend.

~Through a Storm Toward a Daybreak~

Challenge:  The hardest part of each week has been hitting the weekends and that pattern continues more or less until October.  It is hard as always to state in words what the long-term hard aspects mean---now they are Venus and Mars opposing Jupiter and Sol opposing Pluto plus the long-lasting square between Saturn and Uranus.  Ultimately they mean that we need spiritual growth in order to escape from suffering.  I am making Sai Baba a guest teacher here today because he says challenging things in a nutshell, to loosen us from our lesser selves and push us toward our greater ones.  'A storm in a canyon' could describe part of this day.  At its harshest that could be 'violence and terror as divine in their capacity for lifting man out of his aplomb and demanding some manifestation of his inner ideals and enduring values.'  Maybe nobody wants that; however, Dr. Jones adds that a negative way of taking this could be 'fatuous enjoyment of turmoil.'  Witness the scary, melancholy, tumultuous or dystopian stuff people like to watch in TV series and movies.  Whatever the personal or impersonal storms you face, still 'Nature dramatizes man's unleashed powers, or his ability to rise in supremacy over each momentary crisis.'  

Process:  'A man felling a tree' is using his physical energy and common sense in long and hard work, facing the squares and oppositions of the planets with 'Do what you will, I am content with rude work and manly attempts to provide current necessities.'  He may have a simple mind and harsh manners but a soft heart.  He sees good in everything and is a steadfast friend.  

Blessing:  Sometimes it seems we pay for a fresh beginning by clearing away what has been impeding it.  Pressures may slowly ease while we escape the Via Combusta and |difficult third|, but those are not finished yet.  Still we could anticipate 'Daybreak' or the genesis of something more promising.  (If not tomorrow, this could be more likely on Tuesday or Wednesday.)  'There is always dawn or springtime as the promise of resurgence or a new potential.'  'Reality is ever a beginning.'  Our minds are not so dark that they cannot discern the nature of things, and so we may 'untiringly capture and recapture life throughout the constant and confusing shifts of being.'

Challenge:  It's Saturday and many do not have to work and some are forbidden to work if this is their Sabbath (orthodox Jews and Seventh Day Adventists among others).  However, we have this symbol:  'A man plowing with an ox in a field, with a thick wood at the back.'  Sepharial says this shows laborious habits plus attachment to the country life and studies of nature.  Patience and firmness could also come out in a less physical manner such as close research.  Steadfastness is needed during a Via Combusta day which is also within the |difficult third| so whatever you are trying to do needs patience.  Worry is likely but could be transformed into precise awareness of little things that can be done to make things better slowly. Then there could be equanimity.

Process:  At a more social level (Venus and Mars are conjoined in Leo) we have 'a gentleman with a number of ladies in a carriage.'  If this has an old-fashioned sexist feel, we could vary it to 'a gentlewoman with a number of men on a yacht.'  There are good and kindly dispositions, despite the astrological factors already mentioned, which could lead to liberality with presents.  Benevolence bubbles over when people let their defenses down for a while.  

Blessing:   'A rainbow' is 'spiritual power and presence in all personal effort and desire' according to Dr. Jones.  The sun's trine with Neptune can be impressionability, imagination, and comfort.   The rainbow shows divine participation in whatever vision we choose to keep alive by 'wishing' on it.  The fact that different individuals value things differently is shown in the seven colors.  If some things seem to sway dizzily, we can 'look to the rainbow' and regain hopeful bearings.

Challenge:  Sun opposite Pluto:  One does not want to submit to anyone.  Rather one wants to assert oneself and be an influencer, even if  blocked for the moment.   'A horseman armed is moving across a desert toward some woody hills.'  I'm not sure why I like this symbol; maybe it draws out some 'peaceful loner' trend in me.  Perhaps the horseman feels confident that ultimately he will be all right but meanwhile seeks a veiled refuge, which is a respite.  

Process:  The Via Combusta has correlated to a lot of confusing situations in the past but ultimately is  a 'reconnoitering' phase, which is what the 'horseman' may be doing.  People may be focusing on their work and so be preoccupied, yet there is a desire for communication and resulting information or knowledge, shared with someone you like.  'A carrier pigeon' might carry and deliver any part of 'all-knowledge' pertinent to the immediate situation.  Developed rational capacity (the message) works alongside intuition (the pigeon's wings).  Someone may be pleased with things you say.

Blessing:  We have the intriguing degree, 'A dark shadow or mantle thrown suddenly over the right shoulder.'  One wonders if this could correlate with the possibly stunning (to the majority of the uninformed) results of the Arizona forensic audit of the 2020 election.  The 'right' shoulder would then be the politically 'right' shoulder.  Personally, the symbol could indicate that your capacities of leadership are getting a boost and recognition.  Some positive destiny which belongs to you attains dramatic manifestation.  You do not have to boast of it; the world boasts for you.  This might amount to social consummation in evening hours when Luna moves to a sextile with Mars and Venus.

Challenge:  Bigoted attitudes and unconscious cruelty could appear in many.  Luna's square with Mercury plus Mercury's septile aspects suggest alternations of mood, nervousness, and avoidance of work, yet there is the audacity of 'a bareback rider' who is able to master experience valiantly on his or her own terms.  Work and career projects require a spirit of bravado to keep them moving.  

Process:  Your allegiances are being formed or re-formed, questioned before re-established, as if you were in this group:  'A woman and two men on a bit of sunlit land facing south.'  Is this a love triangle, or just a group looking for adventure?  The keyword 'inception' suggests that an over-all, consistent goal has come into view (in the 'south') and needs to be pursued in a coherent pattern with due awareness ('sunlit') of the tendencies and hopes of everyone in your party.

Blessing:  Mastery and peace are combined in 'a bright pale-blue star shining over a clear lake.'  Sepharial says this gives one 'a quick, refined, well-trained intelligence' and that one can 'gain distinction by mental powers.'  (This certainly applied to Sri Aurobindo who was born with the sun at this degree.)  One's nature is harmonious and beneficent.   Knowledge of character plus diplomatic power make one 'shine like a star in one's sphere of life,' with 'many followers.'  If you are too modest to apply this to yourself it could apply to someone you admire and emulate. With the moon in Libra plus Venus and Mars conjoined, some 'other' is harmonious for you.

Challenge:  Younger people and their problems come into view.  'A nest of young birds, a hawk hovering over them' suggests innocence taken advantage of, which could take many forms.  The hovering hawk may not attack, or may be prevented from doing so.  There could be professional jealousy resulting in injury to reputation.  Patient attention to duty is protective.  

Process:  'A meeting of a literary society' allows for criticism of other human beings in a context where no one has to be hurt or scorned except fictional characters.  One has insight into character and can use this to advantage.  One might learn much from a movie or TV series, and share one's insight with someone else.  Tastes could be widened.  

Blessing:  'A man standing upon a mountain with a staff in his hand.  The setting sun shows his figure in relief.'  One can climb past temptations of alcohol or drugs (moon opposite Neptune) and complex corporate or business dealings (sun opposite Pluto) as well as differences with someone toward whom one is affectionate (hard aspects to the Mars-Venus conjunction), and before the end of the day (sunset) realize that one has accomplished something hardy and striking (moon sextile sun).  Dangers, as the 'hawk,' are avoided successfully.   One attracts attention and approval

Challenge:  The harshest aspects are loosening up, yet we have an unusual tri-septile between the Mars-Venus conjunction and Pluto.  This could come out as 'a quantity of toys or common elements of glass and tinsel,' denoting 'a proud person, fond of the artificial, highly superficial, fretful and peevish, creating misery wherever he or she goes.'  If someone like that crosses your path, you know what to do--understand, bless, and protect yourself by separation when appropriate.  

Process:  Another protection from time-wasting involvements is presented by 'a human face surmounted by a coiled serpent; and a raised hand.'  One commands others not by force but by insight into character.  One can penetrate into the laws or habits of human nature and direct the course of things for one's benefit.  The coiled serpent represents keen understanding.  The raised hand is one's spiritual power of  prevention or direction.  

Blessing:  Higher thinking is represented by Mercury's continuing trine with Jupiter in Pisces plus the sun's trine with Neptune.  Pisces and Neptune are devotional.  Our 'lower' minds (Mercury) participate in higher, more encompassing understanding. 'In the center of a high mountain plateau one of the ancient magi is performing his matutinal [daily] devotions. The lord of day ascends on the luminous horizon.'   Through recognizing and appreciating (worshiping) what is higher than ourselves we attain equanimity.

^Reflecting Sol's Glory^

Issues with these reports:  I thank you for continuing to read these even when sometimes they seem to be wrong.  It is very hard to balance all the daily indications.  For example, in Sunday's forecast the final Blessing paragraph seems to me almost outrageously over-optimistic.  But I am writing this Sunday morning and maybe I'll be surprised by the end of the day.  Two beautiful symbols were used for that final paragraph, but the aspects for the day do not point to such optimism.  Most importantly, the weekly |difficult third| is at its most intense all day.  And that aspect accentuates others, Venus plus Mars opposite Saturn and both of them square Uranus, as is Saturn, in other words a very harsh T square in fixed signs.  

As if to show me how people are feeling all this, this morning I had an intense dream.  A group of adults were at a meeting where they were discussing their lives.  A woman started speaking with a smile, then suddenly blurted out that her husband had recently just spurned her and bolted from the room, and she broke out into intense sobs and then bolted from this room herself.  Then the scene shifted to her husband, also in the room, who also started breaking up and got up to leave.  

I believe that people are lonely under these aspects, and often failing in their attempts to 'be with' anyone.  It's a feeling of "Well I have tried this before and it was pointless or boring or futile, so why try again?"  But I am trying to give helpful clues in the forecasts, and there are always some "nice" symbols to use in the Blessing paragraph.  And so, by trying to be nice, I may appear to be wrong.  It seems that the 'good' symbols indicate potentials which are actually present, though when aspects are harsh it is hard for us to manifest them.  I shall carry on and try to synthesize the indications as best I may.

Monday:

Challenge:  We have a rare all-day void-of-course period (times above).  'A disabled ship' would symbolize that, and also 'a man like the fabled Sisyphus who rolls a stone up a hill but never gains the top.'  What 'appears a complete failure,' however, may be preparing slowly some better result.  Doing necessary things at home may be a key.

Process:  It's summer and there are three planets in Leo, the sun's sign.  'The Zuni sun worshipers' continue their faithful rituals no matter what the weather or the momentary turn of events.  Human excellence is a reflection of Sol's power and vitality.  The sun's trine with Neptune could bring out fidelity to the natural processes of our solar system and their interaction with human living even when that seems somewhat listless.  

Blessing:  Despite the void-of-course and |difficult third|, Mercury's exact trine with Jupiter correlates with good business decisions or outcomes.  You may be pleased by prosperous results of choices you made earlier.  As for new choices, the v-of-c is a warning to be careful, but there are no absolute rules.  'A king, emperor, or commander on horseback' has attained power and honor, raised up to a position where he can command rather than obey.  This could be you or someone you admire, though the ultimate King is our supreme Lord.

^Conscience and Courage Engendering Festivity^

|Karmically serious, sobering, challenging third| of this week continues until very late Monday evening

Challenge:  On this |difficult third| day we have again the 'man running in the face of a strong wind, his garments flying in tatters behind him.'  That is no doubt Saturn retrograde and harshly aspected in Aquarius, an air sign, either foiling our plans, slowing them down, or impelling us in an unhealthy direction.  It's Sunday but even then we have duties, so we could be more like 'a man dressed as a groom, riding upon a spirited horse,' serving the cause of truth as we see it whether this is connected with the Church or some secular project.    

Process:  Sobriety and innate courage lift one from obscurity to a position above the plane of one's birth, and secure publicity.  One cultivates a desirable image, even if doing so seems laborious. One might accomplish some deed which will be remembered by posterity, and will increase one's longevity.  'A large building with a dull or somber appearance' might be significant.

Blessing:  Sol trine Neptune in water signs, plus Mercury trine Jupiter also in water signs, add up to two serendipitous symbols, 'Gondoliers in a serenade' and 'A houseboat party.'  Whether or not you are near a body of water, the exuberant music of life may awaken deep sentiments and fulfill the soul's hunger for a symphony of co-operative relationships. The houseboat party is a rehearsal of or demonstration of congeniality.   It's 'a common adventure in self-expenditure' because somebody, or all, have to work a bit to keep the festivities going.
