^Genius, Practicality, Reward^
Moon in Sagittarius
It feels right just now to "lean on" the degree-symbols for the day. Sometimes their implications are hidden until very late in the day or the next day.
"A large brilliant star in the western sky" shows, says, Charubel, "a great genius" whose home is in the Western Hemisphere. Well, we are up for nominations; who would yours be? Similar to this is "the sun ascending above the horizon while it is yet dark on that hemisphere toward which it is approaching." This shows: "A man, yet one greater than a man! His mission is a world mission, but present conditions will scarcely permit of such a development." Again, nominations? Perhaps we are to ponder the question of who is really a "world leader" at the present time. Not easy for me. I'll work on it. I tend to think the great leaders (such as Marc Edmund Jones and Sri Aurobindo on the mental plane) are "on the other side" but maybe that means I can't discern the embodied ones accurately.
In contrast we have a degree I find interesting, even amusing, "An indescribable scene; chaos, confusion, dissolving views." It shows, says Charubel, one with "some marked defect of intellect," or even insanity or idiocy. These days we would use other words, with our supposedly sophisticated psychological categories for the abnormal or unusual. Sometimes "chaos confusion, dissolving views" can be a sort of liberation, as in a party where people toss things into the air. This obviously has its limits. After enough of that one might turn to "a tree felled and sawed," that is, to some task which is simple and needed in terms of practical well-being. One mobilizes everything around oneself in the immediacy of the moment's self-interest. Thus one has dispelled the "chaos and dissolving views" to a degree. Timber!
That practical instinct correlates with Mercury exactly trine Pluto, in earth signs, a good signal that we can indeed be practical in some ways concerning money for example. Whether selling, buying, investing or negotiating, we might do well. We remain in a Bright Hermetic Epoch until June 2 and our judgment can be clear and reliable. There is also generosity; the young woman is still feeding the birds, or we are gracious toward those in need. And we are protected by "A golden-haired goddess of opportunity." Good fortune comes through unconditioned expectation. Dr. Jones remarks, "Nature always takes care of her own." Rewards come from "God's simple world of kind familiar things" as Sri Aurobindo put it.
