The above indications suggest vexation and trouble, so it is good to calm down and set one's headquarters in order as a place where one can be secure.  One might undertake more than one is able to finish, so the power of selection is paramount.  Expected honor or approval might seem snatched from you, but this is a moment or mood.  Self-restraint and contentment are balm for the soul.

Thoughts of a country scene, whether one you could visit now or one from the past, give a sense of security and a link with the soil and nature.  Questions of travel seem bogged in details and cost-analysis.  But there is a feeling that one could map out a fresh (or revisited) territory as a temporary homestead or headquarters and that the cost of this could be handled successfully.  When?  That is the question because the Dark Hermetic Epoch of almost two months begins tomorrow.  (More about that in future reports.)

You might care about representing yourself in the best light, as "a lady [or gentleman] in fashionable apparel."  This is accomplished  best when one's inner confidence has been restored.  Complementary to that is a feeling that one can work in private along spiritual, religious or intellectual lines, thereby gaining protection and dignity.  These two trends--wanting to please the world and yearning to satisfy one's soul--can support each other as we prepare for a period of reorientation, soul-searching, and unexpected adventure (the DHE beginning tomorrow through July 25).

Whatever weakness one experiences, comes from not being sure of oneself, feeling that one does not have the oomph to conquer the world and so using somewhat devious ways of making things work.  This may not be your usual pattern but seems forced on you somehow.  And so you would like "the Gypsy life" of wandering, satisfying yourself with whatever turns up by hook or crook and appreciating whatever of the world's delights come to you hour by hour. 

There is an urge to be in the woodlands or nature, even if that has to be a yard or park.  The simplicity and honesty of country manners is appealing and one can sense values of character within bluntness or gruffness.  Current disagreements about politics, religion and culture hark back to previous periods of history and one feels that oneself or someone else is blandishing "a sword from a museum."  Parents or ancestral roots are a strong stabilizing value-force as we enter a Dark Hermetic Epoch two days from now.  

 

Routine or boring work is less boring when offered in consciousness to someone you care about.  The profit of your labor is not evident except in the satisfaction of having done it, and you can share that satisfaction with an ideal person in your mind.  Whoever personifies your ideals strengthens you and sets things right in the midst of leaden activity.

\Developing Epic Perspective/

First, I hope you noticed that all the upsetting events on Thursday---a police headquarters set on fire in Minneapolis, seven people shot and killed by non-police rioters in Louisville---occurred while the moon was void-of-course (all day; see the Thursday forecast).  I remarked in that forecast:  "We have to note that the moon is void-of-course virtually all day.  That would increase the likelihood of making precipitous mistakes."  Was it a mistake to demonstrate in angry opposition to the killing of George Floyd?  No.  Was it a mistake to burn down police headquarters?  That is a value judgment I leave to you, but it does demonstrate the unexpected, out-of-the-blue things that happen during any v-of-c period.  People go "out of pattern" and often do not foresee the consequences.  Was it a mistake for the shooters in Louisville to kill (randomly?) seven individuals in the crowd?  Of course.  Further, there was the square between the sun and Mars, an incendiary aspect.  I said in the Thursday forecast:   "A quiver filled with arrows" gets us right into the square of Sol with Mars, exact over the next few days.  It is well-intentioned but hasty, precipitous, opinionated and sometimes quarrelsome.  There is a feeling that action needs to be taken "right now."  This could be true in some cases, so long as one avoids the danger of running too many risks."  

Along with these events was Trump's twitter post which seemed to advocate "shooting looters" (by the police we presume) which Twitter decided to preface with a warning that it "glorified violence."  The final sentence of the forecast:  " "A flying arrow" fits the sun-Mars square, a desire to execute things, to cut out a line which excites others.  Mental penetration is effective even if the "target practice" is just practice for now."   Unfortunately, some took the "target practice" indication too literally and made humans their targets.  (For myself, the "target practice" was partly in transactions I was trying to figure out.)

Saturday:  There are indications of effort which requires the sacrifice of some pleasures, "a man sitting on his heels and breaking stones with a hammer."  If this is not just unfruitful "make-work," it can lead on to something better.  Virgo where Luna sails is generally a cooperative sign and so we have "a girls' basketball team."  The girls participate in "common goals" and that releases their individual power of expression.  We might find even reluctant joining with others in some "game" which seems pointless to have a good result.

Studying things is fruitful, things which have several layers of material or significance.  This complexity of information is scientific in essence.  When you understand the layout of the territory you are able to make things happen quickly as if by magic, "a monster plant growing spontaneously before my eyes."  This could be a previously "planted and watered" project ready to grow and expand as if by its own power.

"Two men running a race" brings out the square between the sun and Mars, known for high energy and excitability, sometimes combat.  The juices of political debate or insult seem to be flowing.  This could have constructive use if we consider the historic complex of things.  "A sword in a museum" is hinting that leaders from the past are still relevant in terms of skills, perspectives and ideals.  The "sword" can represent protection rather than violence.  We are encouraged to emulate savvy, epic examples.

Venus and three of the outer planets are retrograde, and Mercury will begin its long slowdown toward retrograde on Tuesday June 2.  This does not indicate that we are utterly impotent or incompetent, yet today one symbol is "a broken pitcher lying on the ground with spilled fruit around it."  This shows "vain pursuits of no lasting benefit," or precipitate clumsiness perhaps due to the squares of the sun and Venus with Mars and Luna's squares and oppositions with all three.  One should be careful, and avoid jumping to conclusions, treating important matters as if one were "a forensic scientist" or lawyer who judges things accurately thereby avoiding mishaps.

Working toward eminence is possible, wanting to be qualified for a higher position.  This can be true on either the material or the spiritual plane.  "An examination of initiates" has the flavor of the ancient Greek Mystery Schools and modern Freemasonry.  One prepares oneself for the examination, and this is something like competition, "two men running a race."  Yet no one has to lose because both are learning something through the process, which is the whole purpose of "initiation."  If both are trying to do that, you could sharpen wits with a companion interested in similar things, despite (or because of) differences.

The emblem of "a man in a greenhouse watering shrubs" fits with the moon's transit through Virgo, often concerned with growing things.  This is a degree of beauty, whether in the plant kingdom or in human beings.  At the same time there is "a monster plant of the gourd tribe arising spontaneously from the soil; growth is taking place before my vision."  Some project "will succeed as if propelled by magic power."  Still, one should curb one's exuberance with calm reflection (in accord with paragraph 1).  Something in connection with career plans may be "ready to pop."

"A quiver filled with arrows" gets us right into the square of Sol with Mars, exact over the next few days.  It is well-intentioned but hasty, precipitous, opinionated and sometimes quarrelsome.  There is a feeling that action needs to be taken "right now."  This could be true in some cases, so long as one avoids the danger of running too many risks.  Of the symbol of the quiver and arrows, Dr. Jones mentions "the inalienable right of man to make demands on his fellows" and so one might be bold in asking or demanding.  Or, if without help, one can "rise to the issue" through prior self-training.  Charubel gives "a large clock with weights in sight" suggesting we can observe shrewdly "what pertains to cause and effect" and be "splendid timeists in music" or in the music of life.  That would bring the sun-Mars impatience under control.

We have to note that the moon is void-of-course virtually all day.  That would increase the likelihood of making precipitous mistakes.  If you read this ahead of time you might wisely make important decisions or choices on Wednesday or else Friday and the weekend. If one is calm, the v-of-c can be refreshing, even a "lark," although the pressures from the sun-Mars square will keep one thinking and acting.  Weighing things and experiencing them without making commitments is wise.   

At a spiritual level, Mars in Pisces moving toward Neptune in its own sign fits with "a mountain pilgrimage" or a quest for something beyond one's power to embody without divine assistance.  One cannot live on the mountain peak, probably, but visiting it re-inspires ideals which can be lived out in the valley.  "Men seeking illumination" are dedicated to some apostolic succession or valid tradition whose purity of motive re-creates us in its better image.  

"A farmhouse in the mountains" with a "white gate" may be a good symbol to contemplate.  Charubel says things of a white color are favorable.  "A flying arrow" fits the sun-Mars square, a desire to execute things, to cut out a line which excites others.  Mental penetration is effective even if the "target practice" is just practice for now.

Luna square Uranus happens twice a month and is normal but it can be edgy or antsy, and we have the symbol "An industrial strike."  It shows "the necessity that man act in his own interest"  There obviously needs to be "constructive reorganization" in the job sphere.  Andrew Yang is proposing a four-day work week, which makes sense.  As for office workers, some of them can do their work at home, which doesn't sound bad to me but some have said it is not ideal.  For today, commercial pursuits, bookkeeping and accounting might be good things to accomplish if you have been postponing them.

At the spiritual level we have "men seeking illumination."  Some might see this as hypocritical escapism, but we need dedication to something ideal, and "illumination" makes that real to us.  Quiet ones meditate while active ones in complementary mode preach or lead.  There has to be perseverance to complete any effective pilgrimage.  "False virtue" fades when we hold to our "ultimate course." 

"Digging in the air and sowing to the wind" could be a tendency if we lost touch with what is practically doable.  However, Mars square the sun while sextile Uranus suggests that it's possible to execute plans, cut out one's own line in life, and excite attention like "a flying arrow."  One seems to be investing in one's career in whatever way turns up as momentarily feasible.

~Abandonment? Yet Elegance and Peace~

The symbols for the zodiacal degrees which I report on here are often seemingly fanciful, though often literal.  You may take them with a grain of salt but pondering them can lead to insight which rejecting them outright would not give.  We have "a baronial mansion with spacious park and gigantic trees" as a symbol of antiquity, scholarship, and sound judgment.  Settle down with a classic work to peruse in the shelter of those arboreal comforters.  There is also a lake with a swan floating on it and a high mountain behind it.  This symbolizes contentment, elegance and  Peace, and may we have that.

There are further hints of rusticity, so maybe being near the soil offers benefits, or being among country folk.  Or one may be observing all earthly events as if from above, as "an aviator in the clouds."  A superior perspective grants competence in whole-judgment.  One may be thinking of those in far-off places.

"A well-conditioned heifer standing to the plow" represents docility of whatever sort is required in your world, either yours or someone else's.  We have to get our tasks done.  We may also resemble the woman who is dejected, covering her naked breast with her hair, that is, we may feel bereft, cast off, abandoned.  Who loves me, and where is the love? is the plaint of Venus and Mars now beginning to square each other, while Venus remains in close square with Neptune.  Further, she is going backward, feeling the sorrow of past or ended loves.  It will probably not cheer you to say that  Venus and Mars will be in a happy sextile the whole of July and the last ten days of June, but that is good.  However, we enter a Dark Hermetic Epoch on June 2, just a week from now.  We are already beginning to see its probable effects in politics, with more and more "nasty" charges and counter-charges, Biden gaffes and Trump insults, and so on.  Be prepared.

A promiscuous mix of creatures, some animal, some human, may greet you at the beach, in a park, or any place where there are get-togethers planned or unplanned.  Someone you know has good judgment and a solid, respectable  career but seems a little cold or impersonal in human relations.  Nevertheless conversations with him or her may be productive.

It's a holiday, yet there can be a sense of hurry.  You are practicing to be or become something outstanding and want to be consistent at it.  To do so you use "a sextant and compass" which has worked well for you and which might carry you favorably through the next Dark Hermetic Epoch which begins June 2 and lasts until July 26.  What you have figured out now about your exact procedures is likely to be a solid basis to protect you from shiftings and turnings you may encounter during those two months.  Some of this could be technical, some just conclusions you have reached about the best daily and weekly routines.

Travel plans are enshrouded in mystery or uncertainty.  Someone you would like to visit is like "a woman standing in an attitude of dejection, covering her breast with the hair of her head."  She may feel deserted or disappointed, by you or someone else (and this could be a male as well).  Venus retrograde while square to Neptune is causing not just women but all to re-evaluate love affairs, marriages, and deep relationships.  This can be sometimes happy, sometimes bittersweet reunions, or a fumbling after something new while giving up on the old.  During the coming DHE (June 2 through July 25) there will be a lot of reunions or reborn affairs and relationships, as well as experimental new ones, and some which are restorations of relations from prior lifetimes.  This could be specially pleasing beginning June 20 when Venus and Mars begin a long-term good relation (a sextile) through July.  Today there can be success in some family-type connection with illustrious individuals.  We are blessed with "A bunch of spring flowers, over them a bright star flashing and sparkling in a deep blue atmosphere."

You could link with someone neat, proud, efficient and a little selfish.  You want orderliness in business.  Efforts at gaining wealth and position meet with opposition or competition, but you do not give up.  You are willing to face hazard and chance.  

As "a jockey" jockeying for position you are eager to perform well, and willing to practice.  By using the "sextant and compass" of reliable definition and direction, you rise to the occasion even when the odds seem remote. 

Some links with people are mysterious or enveloped in secretive conversations and arcane plans. This could be partially confusing, yet fascinating.  In relating to others you might seem ambivalent, as if you had "a furled and an unfurled" flag on your "vessel" or were prepared to assume different identities for different purposes.  Such adaptability (if not dishonest) could amount to profitable adjustment.

The squares of Mercury and Venus with Neptune can set off despondency, a lack of moral courage, "a man weeping on a lonely plain."  Yet your active intellect is reminiscent of a detective.  You may note someone with a striking profile. 

Too many irons in the fire, grasping after too many clues or possibilities, can amount to chaos and confusion.  But "a girl blowing a bugle"  is awakening you to what is doable, one particular thing.

Specialized interests are exclusive, but you may share them with a fellow enthusiast.  It is good to be careful not to influence anyone in a questionable way through some disproportion in one's assessments or recommendations.  "Strange studies" could be taken up with notable, prosperous persons who are or could be friends.

New Moon of Gemini occurs at 10:40a PT | 1:40p ET | 5:40p UT

Don't take it hard if you feel weary or without strong motivation at certain minutes or hours.  The time around the New Moon can feel like a time for languishing.  Yet we have the sun in an exact trine with Saturn, which rewards merit and the taking on of long-term responsibilities.  Consistency is adored by Saturn.  "A tremendous pillar with a large amount of earth, buildings and rocky ramparts resting on it" shows strength, and being the supporter of "some gigantic scheme or organization."  It may seem that this impressive scheme is flailing and yet there is hope with the New Moon.

Jupiter has been in Charubel's degree of "insanity" since May 2.  I have sometimes marveled at this, sometimes laughed, sometimes felt disappointingly that "everyone around me is losing his head."  But there have been advantages.  "An indescribable scene; chaos, confusion, dissolving views" can be a shaking-up of things prior to getting a better grip on them.  We have to realize what we don't know before we can realize what is knowable.  I have sometimes felt that I myself am an idiot or that writing these reports is impossible.  But fresh and continuous research has shown me some better ways of charting the planetary motions.  This can be a crisis of faith, and the current squares of Mercury and Venus with Neptune accentuate that.  "A cross lying on rocks" suggests the abandonment of one's spiritual path at a time when it seems to have failed one.  Yet conscience survives, and the soul reawakens us to ideals and "paramount necessities."  

Mars sextile Uranus can be "instant recognition of advantages or opportunities" as well as "success through accidental happenings" (according to Robert deLuce).   Therefore we may be "drilling for oil" or speculating or "jobbing" in ways that might resemble gambling.  There can be friendship with notable persons who share spiritual or scientific interests.  All this is intriguing even if somewhat premature.

"Santa Claus filling stockings furtively" could be we under the aegis of the moon in Taurus trine Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn.  We want to share what we have, and we encounter others who want to give.  Our Christmas trunk is more like "a red tree covered with golden fruit" according to Charubel.  This is positivity producing "a blessing to the race" and eminence for the one doing the blessing.

Our community is still being compared to "a large aviary" and we birds are pretty diverse.  We could "administer human potentials on the social level" as if we in the pecking order were "officers on dress parade" disciplining ourselves and others for greater duties.  This requires "schooled self-assurance and absolute responsibility."

Sensitive to any imposition or fraud, we protect ourselves even while "tossing coins into a cup as if in play" or treating money as "easy come, easy go."  We don't really care how others are earning, spending or saving.  Instead we care about what is truly interesting to us.  We are largehearted, with warmly effusive soul-force.

P. S.  The execution of a man who may have been innocent in Missouri on Tuesday fits the pattern I have noticed with past executions, namely, it happened during a |karmically serious or sobering third| of the week.  That is based on the relation of our moon to Saturn, so that the hard aspects, occurring a little more frequently than weekly and so moving backward slowly from week to week, are these special times when "bad" things happen.  Including 9/11/01, and the day JFK was assassinated, and many kidnappings, murders and, unfortunately executions.  You will see that I pointed out in the Tuesday forecast that it " could be most intense today."  It was indeed, although I am feeling "down" also on Wednesday.  That Luna-Saturn aspect was exact in the evening and the execution was scheduled for 6 p.m. Central Time.  If we would look into ourselves we would see our own "sins" or errors coming into consciousness at these times.  (Whether the prosecutors or the executed man were the sinners, in this case, I do not know, nor does anyone else, which is why execution is wrong, wrong, wrong.)  Astrology is implicitly a spiritual path.

Much is happening beneath the surface.  I shall try to elucidate some of it.  One of Charubel's symbols warns that we might be too passive, and open ourselves to "evil" or negative influences.  One way that could happen would be through mis-experiencing the Venus-Neptune square.  Its full ten-degree orb is April 15 through June 7.  It is exact right now.  It can be beautiful musing, pondering, re-experiencing loves which are either lost or just not vivid at present, haunting old friendships or relationships.  It can be yearning for distant scenes now perhaps closed because of the pandemic and resultant travel conditions.  We could, as Charubel warns, let such thoughts get the better of us and dissociate us from what we need to be doing.  Or, better, we could develop a healthy curiosity about things and people, some old and some new, as if on "a glass-bottomed boat in still water."  That would be in accord with Venus's status as retrograde.  Her station, or "motionless" point from geocentric perspective, was May 12-13 and now she is apparently going backward until June 25.  Today that boat, stationary in still water, is our vantage point, bringing perspective and poise.  It would be a problem only if it made us totally indecisive. 

We are in "a large aviary," or the online, world community.  There are strange birds in it; also colorful ones and some sweet singers.  What we make of that depends on how passive or active we want to be.  If we opt for ""officers on dress parade" we will want to discipline or organize ourselves and others to accomplish something we aspire toward.  This could at worst be officious.  Or else dignity and protocol advanced by ourselves and others as "officers" could help all to keep hoping, and trying for something significant.

The Bright Hermetic Epoch lasting until June 2 is good for clearcut, effective plans.  However, they may seem to falter at the beginning.  The final days of an Old Moon (the New is Friday) make it hard to adapt to required conditions.  We "scrawl" what later we could write.  Some financial and business plans may seem reckless or eccentric to others and yet are the best we can devise for now.  A limited test run could be better than utter indolence.

One might rest on one's laurels.  The final days of a decreasing crescent moon (the New comes Friday) are often times to get extra rest when the oomph seems to have gone out of things.  I find that my exercise program is harder to maintain then, though I can do it with extra will power.  Or, sometimes, take a natural break from it for a day or two.  Yet today there could be wealth, influence, and love of ease. How did one get wealth? The Psalms teach that only loyal adherence to the Supreme Lord and his behests can bring lasting riches.  "The breast-plate of the Jewish high priest" belongs to anyone who has occult knowledge based on devotion and reverence.  It enables "mighty deeds as a magician."  

At home base in your consciousness, supporting you, there is "a church bazaar."  This is both devotional and humanistic; also entertaining; and it brings multiple benefits.  You have allies.  Maybe they are linked with you through some religo-mystical-spiritual group, or maybe through a more secular one.  Together you are able to have a better "sextant and compass" than you could have just by yourself.  That is a sense of direction, with sharp definition, clearing-up of mysteries, and precise intention. 

Yet Neptune remains squared to Venus, and now Mercury too.  This could come out as "anything could be true" or a sort of indifference, or else a willingness to experiment playfully when no utterly clear truth or direction is evident.  You have to do what feels right to you at some personal level.  This could require persistent effort, such as "cutting down a tree to be used for fuel or building material."  The high priest's magic is not gone, but inspires some practical activity revealed as important to your own consciousness-compass.  That is part of the magic.

The long-lasting trine between Mars and Venus, good for "love" in any mode including just friendship, was from March 10 through May 15.  I have felt its absence since Friday, but didn't realize what was wrong until I looked at charts again today (Sunday) and noticed the absence (by a standard 10-degree orb).  It seems to mean that we feel a little less of the exuberance of living and its interactions, a little less joy in conversations, flirtations, in the imaginary life of literature or movies, and so on.  However, we can make up for that in other ways.  And then the Venus-Mars sextile, just as good as the trine, will be with us beginning June 21 and lasting through August 8.  This again is unusually long because Mars will be slowing down.  We have a lot to look forward to.  (But this does not necessarily indicate anything about the pandemic, its duration or intensity.)  Today, Monday, there could be some harshness in consciousness, a sense that someone has been tyrannical or bullying or sadistic, or a sense that one has indulged in such feelings oneself.  To get away from such unpleasantness one might think and act speedily, like "a rapid stream."  This could be superficial, shallow thinking plus self-will.  

All this is something like "heavy traffic on a narrow isthmus" which is not good, literally, during the sequestration.  It could be "stubborn blindness to the general welfare" as Dr. Jones remarks, and that would fit perfectly someone refusing to stay home or distance or wear a mask or whatnot.  That is, the "traffic" is dangerous.  Or it could be a smart use of various convergences and connections, if one uses "a sextant and compass" to gauge one's best course.  That could amount to utter precision in defining things, courses of thought and action, so that one is reliable and useful in some capacity.  

Luna's sextiile with Mercury and Venus late in the day and evening is reminiscent of "a woman holding scales containing a cup of red wine on one side and golden coins on the other."  One might choose between wealth and pleasure, or whether an expensive escapade is worth the cost.  This could be earthy desires, while the sun continues to trine Pluto and Jupiter in earth signs.  Yet there is a goodhearted wish to share everything in a gentle, winning, artful manner.

There seem tendencies toward vagary, that is, vain ambitions one cannot reach because they are misconceived.  That would be a misuse of the Aries vibration.  True ambitions in accord with one's talents and destiny, however, are well-favored.  "A very straight road; an interminable perspective."  "A life that will be long and happy."  One does not get that from Charubel very often.

One follows the right road by using "a sextant and compass," that is, serious study and resulting exact principles carried out with precision.  There is then a convergence of all things and connections you desire.  Social distancing may be challenged by "heavy traffic on a narrow isthmus" but we can maintain contacts at a safe distance.  The "traffic" of a well-integrated community of interest is encouraging.  

The moon in Aries is daring.  "A person climbing a rock in the midst of a fierce storm. Flashes of lightning reveal the figure in dark outline. It appears strong and climbs well."  This force of character passes through many adventures.  Beyond uncertainty and peril there is final success.  Then a relaxed phase shares gains with everyone else, making others happy through one's own happiness.

The past few days have been a time for considering one's "career" or what one wants to be respected and appreciated for.  You may have made progress in comprehending that.  Today there are peculiarities mixed up with it which do not have to be bad and yet might go wrong if one got "ahead of oneself" and felt one could gain at someone else's expense.  There is the temptation to use one's powers, whatever they are, in a selfish way which would, even with good intentions, hurt someone else.  Respect for the Other, no matter who, is important.  You might feel somewhat weak and yet shrewd, which is all right provided you adhere to good ethics and try to be kindly.  

The scatter-brained or chaotic approach to life is something we fall into because we are going through transitions we don't understand.  Thus it is good to ask, What is reliable in my life, what never changes, as if it were "a petrified forest"?  One's survival is not exactly petrefaction but requires awareness of the Eternal and His or Her grace.  Then there is preservation, as by the Supreme Lord Vishnu, or by Christ Jesus.  This is independent of the reason's pseudo-certainties, dependent rather on intuitions provided by the Spirit which inhabits open trusting hearts.  

"An inhabited island" is habited by, perhaps, snobby people who think that their cultivation is superior to that of mainlanders.  You may be like that in some part of your consciousness, affiliating only with fellow elitists.  Yet the snobbery may have good intentions, as if wanting to be the nucleus of a sister-brotherhood of humanity.  So there can be gentleness, kindness, generosity and concord, mixed with appreciation of music and the arts.

"An elephant" possesses "sagacity, secrecy, and implicit confidence in his own strength."  You feel sure that some of your foremost plans are moving toward realization no matter how this may go by fits and starts.  Mental processes are comprehensive, sometimes entertaining, and labyrinthine, uniting "the earth with the heavens" as in astronomy or astrology.  And so there is patience for solving enigmatical problems with all the multiple twistings and turnings most would not make time for.

The symbol of "idiocy or insanity" is with us again, "chaos and dissolving views."   Luna squares Mercury. This really means that the complexity of things goes beyond the capacity of ordinary rational thought to figure out quickly.  And so one needs to be calm and assured in the midst of chaos, and also a little cautious. To be like "a squirrel hiding from hunters" is not to be overly timid but to watch heedfully and act only when it is safe to do so.  

With Part of Fortune in the 10th sector we care about our "position in the world" or status. "An examination of initiates" suggests we feel we need to go upscale in our qualifications for any job or project.  We have claimed to be good at so-and-so, and then the test comes.  But it is good to be calm rather than worried, for that is likely to yield better results.  We want to conform to others' high expectations as much as possible, and the "love" in this, the caring about them, will do more for us than nervousness about our performance.  And so ultimately there is sharing in concord, and plenty to share because of prosperity (Sol is trine both Pluto and Jupiter in earth signs).  Ardor plus gentleness make for a winning disposition.  (The elephant lifts a prospective rider onto his back.)

My mood as I write is bleak and blank.  I cannot figure out exactly why, even though some astrological factors point to it, because some things just seem beyond computation, such as the pandemic and its duration.  My blank mood is oddly reflected by the first symbol for Thursday according to Charubel, "There is NOTHING connected with this degree.  A blank.  Some mystery here which I do not comprehend."  Maybe that gives me a blank check to just jettison this forecast, saying "Can't do it"? Well, the moon is void-of-course for 11 hours.  Still, there are further symbols:  "A large well-kept public park."  Social distancing is feasible in such places.  Maybe you should spend some time in one you like.  The sun trining both Pluto and Jupiter in earth signs looks positive for earthly or earthy beauty and bounty.  The keyword Recreation can manifest passively as well as actively, re-creation.

Larger spaces seem indicated, again, in "a large aviary," where a variety of "birds" or human types have room to move about yet are limited in travel, as we seem to be.  (This was the summer I thought I might go on longer trips.  Doesn't look feasible at present.)  "Community" is the keyword, and the Netflix series Community presents a confluence of strange birds indeed. Another large space is "the mystic meadow of ancient Babylon in bloom."  There is a continuity of human community over the centuries, and ancient secret meanings pervade blossom-scented togetherness.

Yet there is sequestration, and we may feel like "a squirrel hiding from hunters."  It is good to be cautious.  Good judgment "sets the conditions for all personal participation in events" wisely.  At the same time there is a wish for sharing, giving, and cordiality.  Right ways of doing that are safe.  There can be domestic peace and prosperity.  While Venus remains squared with Neptune, fine arts and well-crafted dramas open soul-doors.

Most will feel stronger than yesterday.  "A mounted Indian with scalp locks" is forbidding, yet really shows someone who is willing to assert authority, and that does not have to be ruthless but can lead to commanding "enemies" through rigid self-control.  This is astute, accomplished by those neat and orderly, good at business, methodical, proud and a little selfish. People wonder about business and investment but the sun's trine with Pluto suggests likely success for the majority, maybe behind the scenes. 

We live in a "large community" and the pandemic makes us aware of how different varied regions are.  Commercial possibilities in one area are not the same is in another.  "A public market" embodies ideals of community living.  Sellers and buyers, cashiers and customers are all doing their part.  "Practical arrangements of mutual benefit" go well.  

At the social level there could be stimulation and release while Luna moves away from Saturn to a trine with Venus.  Charubel warns of "a serpent coiled around the lower part of a naked man's body" taking this to mean self-eroticism of a disgusting sort.  Rather, that could be sublimated into something friendly, congenial, artistic or musical, kind hearts and concord.  Venus stationary squaring Neptune can be sad yet glorious tears of longing, or tragic love transmuted into spiritual ecstasy, whether "real life" or the imaginary life of TV and movies provides it

A trine between the sun and Jupiter in earth signs signifies "a jewelry shop," the preservation and maintenance of material well-being or luxury.  A negative side could be greediness, or falling into a trap set by those imposing upon one, perhaps fraudulently.  A largehearted person is not necessarily likely to fall into such scams but might be very sensitive to them and so veer away from them.  Those with soul force might be astute in avoiding impositions even as they are kindly to those deserving kindliness.  

Good thinking is possible through the benefits of a large community comprising many viewpoints.  What one type of person cannot provide, another can.  Fantasy life could be strong, with Venus and Neptune in their long-lasting square while Venus is at a station.  Such idealistic fantasy need not be witless but could bring out underlying spiritual integrity.  The universe is friendly when we are reliable--"The field of Ardath in bloom."  A clear, realistic yet hopeful view of relationships is possible. 

A young or youthful person's health or well-being may be in question because of his or her habitual tendencies, but she or he provides the world with much beauty and let us hope can be saved from decline.  When moods are bleak and one feels the future uncertain, one can tap into a kindly, friendly, generous trend in oneself and others, providing graciousness through music, lyrics, or other artistry or through a winning disposition which multiplies happiness.

\Fighting Weakness, Winning Concord/

Weakness is something any of us can feel at times, as if we knew we were not living up to expectations and, as our own "parent," do not like that, yet there seems nothing to do but submit, for a while, to the weakness.  I am not sure if that is the correct advice for today.  Obviously you need to do what is essential, but perhaps should not be too hard on yourself if that seems feeble.  It is good to be aware of any negative influences which might be holding down your enthusiasm for keeping on trying.  Then, if you do try, you might come into the favorable mode Sepharial indicates, "industry, thrift, diligence and success."

A "sextant and compass" are guiding us into cardinal learning and exploration, indicated also by Mercury's trine with Saturn.  Exact principles make possible precision in action and successful ventures.  Then "the field of Ardath" will be "in bloom," that is, the spiritual integrity of nature will resonate in concert with the continuity of our human reliability.  The universe is inherently friendly when we try to do our part.

That requires determination, to overcome the negative influences of paragraph 1, hinted at by the long-continuing square between Venus and Neptune, a kind of "just drift and let things be" aspect, Strawberry Fields Forever.  Alcohol or drugs would make it even more debilitating.  Rather, we have the opportunity to engage in "protracted labor" which uses "old and waste materials," that is, whatever is at hand.  Gonna plow that field today.  When we've done what we can there could be relaxation into genial connections, a good use of the Venus-Neptune contact plus the still-there trine between Venus and Mars plus Luna's trine with Sol.  People want to share their feelings in concord.

Good thinking and solid analysis are possible and useful.  Mercury is strong by aspect, square Mars and trine Jupiter.  Reasoning is sound, as if one were a chemist or medical researcher.  There is caution and thrift combined with wise anticipation of difficulties so they can be prevented.  I wonder if some medical researchers may make a breakthrough. 

In fact, the exact trine of Mercury and Jupiter is good for prosperity, choosing investments or good deals, negotiating or reaching favorable agreements.  "A sextant and compass" show exactly the direction to go, for example in business or trading.  Exact principles and clear definitions bring about successful ventures.  Further, some ideas come from "the self-renewing purity of the mind at root" and these may take a little longer to "fly" because they are like "a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis."  So there is gain from both tangible, defined plans and indefinite but forming ones. 

The Mercury-Mars square is hard-edged, not necessarily cruel but it wants results and will not be patient with those who seem to get in the way.  There could be some isolation and solitary cogitations making use of what others have done but not interacting helpfully with them. This is modified by a desire for peace and concord (Venus and Neptune aspects) which could come out in a love of the fine arts and in a winning disposition.  Luna's trine with Uranus gives freedom to others as much as to oneself.

One symbol suggests "eminence," as a flag on a high mountain.  I am not sure that accords with the current planetary conditions.  More likely, we feel like the "elephant," or "a person possessing much sagacity, a great amount of secrecy, and confidence in his own strength."  He probably does not want a flag on a mountain and might be embarrassed by that. 

"An indescribable scene--chaos, confusion, dissolving views" is something all might experience sometimes during this pandemic.  It's disorientation, but that can lead to better reorientation, as when one decides to "fell a tree and saw it" or get right down to what is needed on a practical level.  That could be Mercury square Mars, a "do it now" sort of thing, accompanied by Luna sextile Mars exactly at the void-of-course time (the last aspect from Sagittarius).

Or one might slip into "Three cups of wine standing upon a table in the form of a triangle," looking for emotional or material intoxication.  This need not be drunkenness; Sepharial suggests that the "triangle" is emblematic of spirituality, a mental-spiritual intoxication or enthusiasm.  At best it could be shared somehow with others, one's own happiness making them happy.
