At a deeper level, we need to rise beyond superficiality. These forecasts are not for those who are looking for a way to "beat the planets" or find a cheap and easy way of living. There is a spiritual impetus behind the universe and the human race, and if we do not "get with" that impetus in our living, we are lost. If you say that that is "religion not astrology" you are wrong. We cannot cut up real life into these little strips and toss the pieces into boxes. We are looking for a whole living which takes account of everything that needs to be accounted for.
Astrology without prophecy is a long purgatory. Only when it awakens to prophecy does it become alive, and prophecy is not complacency. A prophet speaks for G*d, or tries to do so. G*d is not the planets. He transcends all. (You may say She if that pleases you.) Without Him or Her we would be like parts of a machine, the planets pushing us around like pieces on a chessboard or balls on a pool table. In fact, according to many thinkers, that is what "we" or most human beings are--parts of a gigantic machine, victims of cause-and-effect, the genetic code, society's structure, on and on. Astrology, if it merely added "also the planets" to the factors which push us around, would not be particularly helpful. A cosmic astrology, to which I aspire when calling myself Cosmic Piper, has to reach out toward cosmic order not as imprisonment and the rule of invisible prison wardens but as a manifestation of Divine Purpose. That is the purpose behind everything, and if you do not acknowledge such a purpose you are indeed spiritually lost. I could say you need Jesus, and that is true; but if you are of another than the Christian religion, then that is what you need; if it is a true religion. If you are of no religion, you are lost.
Elbert Benjamine, who called himself C. C. Zain as author of the Church of Light publications, denominated his teaching "The Religion of the Stars." I like that. There is nothing wrong with it as long as we realize that the Stars, or the entire cosmic order, embody a divine will transcending themselves. And if you do not sense that there is such a divine will, to which we all need to be attuned, I hope that reading these forecasts will help you develop such a sense.
In pondering our geocentric setup for this week (we live on the earth, not some other planet or the sun), I feel the inner discontent which all must be feeling somehow or other. You must be feeling it. It is good, not bad. It is important to feel discontent in order to make any gains forward. Who determines what those gains shall be? You yourself. But, if you have read what I just wrote, you must know that "you yourself" is more than just your superficial greedy obtuse "self" which is usually called "the lower ego." We have an assignment to transcend that, to rise beyond it and feel the deeper purpose in our individual birth and forward momentum. That deeper purpose requires us to reject lesser purposes, which are known as "self-will" of a lower sort rather than the Divine Will which is the will of our deepest Self. Who could spell out that Will for you? You yourself, if you are attuned to the deepest teachings available to the human race. If not, you will flounder.
The setup of our solar system, as related to the human race, for the current week is what Marc Edmund Jones called "activity, disjunctive." Those may seem just words but in his major book Essentials of Astrological Analysis he expounds what they mean. "Disjunctive" as I understand it in the current context means: You need to sort things out. You are disjoining the true from the false, the valuable from the worthless.
Example: I spent almost two hours yesterday, and an hour and a half today, watching movies which, when I look back on them, seemed almost worthless. I feel that the makers of those movies, and Netflix, have stolen four hours from my life. I might have spent those hours studying Hegel, or Marc Edmund Jones, or Sri Aurobindo, three of the most divine, truly, and exalted human beings who ever lived.
We sort the good fish from the bad and throw the bad away, as Jesus taught in one of his parables. This is extremely important. The T square of Neptune, the sun, and Saturn, focused on Saturn in Sagittarius, means we have to find "true religion" and if you don't know what that is for you you need to find it. People get the word "religion" all mixed up with churches and pastors, priests and rabbis and mullahs. That is not what I mean by "true religion." It is your own way of approach to your own G*d, who is also my G*d and the G*d of the whole human race if He or She is the One True G*d. And if you don't comprehend what those words mean, I hope you will keep on trying to do so.
Astrology without prophecy, which means divine judgment, not human judgment, is as worthless as watching superficial movies.

P. S. Of course it is true that if one maintains a very high state of consciousness, saturated with Divine Truth, one can watch a superficial movie--if one feels a need to do that--and "separate the good fish from the bad" while watching it. That makes it almost an act of prayer. I sometimes try to do that, when it feels like the right thing to do. But even then, there are forms of entertainment which lead somewhere, through such a selective process, and other forms which lead nowhere except to "hell" or increased stupidity.
