Let us hope that Luna's conjunction with Venus and sextile with Mars, highlighting their sextile to each other, will bring us some fulfilment, even an unusual awakening to love. The rather lugubrious comment on human attractions in the quatrains below need not be what we experience, although it might be a warning. Some think Capricorn represents the Devil and some see it as a disguise for Pan. It calls us to discriminate between the seductively harmful and the subtly or lustily charming. We can do that because all these planets are in good aspect with Jupiter in Virgo, sign of purity.
The woods, rich in autumnal fulfillment, harbor and nurture a
Man lying in a hammock sick. He has not exercised for years
And has become apathetic. Musical instruments lie upon wreaths of
Flowers nearby. He plays bleakly; his friend plays to heal him.
A spacious hall looks like an Egyptian chamber of mystery, with
Hieroglyphs and images painted on its walls. At the center a tripod
Rests, issuing flames of fire. The more one stares the more
One is transported to heavenly spheres, light-rings of omniscience.
The man resting in the woods dreams of a woman he knew, or barely
Knew, before he saw her vanity and shamefulness.
Did she give him fulfillment, or a romp with something pointless?
He drags himself to the chamber's tripod of purification.
