Forecast: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9-10 April, 2013

Tuesday 9 April 2013

Sun in Aries and Moon in Aries
New Moon of Aries occurs early Wednesday
at 2:36a PT | 5:36a ET | 9:36a UT

Near the shrubbery around the villa a youth juggles
Colored balls. A lusty girl looks on. A brilliant madman
Plots destruction. A pregnant woman calms his brain;
A curtain blows into a cornucopia. Telepathy heals.

*Reticent Hope Playful, All-Conquering*

We find the meaning of life however we can for ourselves, or "a meaning" perhaps, one which may be peculiarly our own. Perhaps philosophers have erred in not recognizing the individuality of the quest, thinking they could define "meaning" for the world at large. Astrologers would know how to help them.

What looks foolish to one seems pleasant and harmless to another. Who would deny a child's right to play? When an inter-sexual element comes into the amusement (Mars and Venus together in Aries, both septile Jupiter in Gemini) let us hope the play will be kept safe and innocent, whether children or adults are the players. Holding back, being reticent, is a good thing when all is questionable, for the sake of inherent privacy and perhaps to prevent trouble.

I don't try to predict the stock market, or the economy, with astrology, not in detail, although I have observed a few long-term patterns in past major trends. Today it seems that people may feel disappointed in such matters and yet continue to hope for gains. We sometimes forget how dependent we are on "the soil," that is, plant growth, horticulture, farming, for our sustenance. Something may awaken us to that.

Financially, much has to be held in reserve, as a farmer needs seed.
When much is uncertain, yet one feels confident within oneself, a light or playful approach is natural. A light-hearted and invigorating tonic can be absorbed from events, thoughts, expectations, entertainment, and the activities of other human beings. Thus hope is renewed in the midst of ordinary work.

The "evil genius" is a conundrum. That is, one who, gifted with vast powers of intellect, turns them toward the dark side, misanthropy or destructiveness. Often the intent is good, or seems good to the mistaken (though brilliant) one. We can only hope that remorse will hit such an one sooner rather than later, to stop the baneful folly.

To be steadfast and sincere with friends, while pursuing one's own interests without fanfare, is a wonderful thing, an attainment we might all wish for ourselves. There is a way to that at this time, no matter how devious or questionable it may seem. Being what one can for the sake of someone, and being recognized as a source of felicity, is a felicity in itself.

Those who have been battered by life, almost to the point of losing hope, still may find it in what we call spiritual, that is, internal realization and expanded awareness of what Life really is. Each spiritual teacher has a different way of expounding that in words. When it comes to someone who seems derelict and dissipated, with such awareness comes some answer to his or her physical needs as well. No matter how humble, it is enough.

There might be a Robin Hood factor, a tendency to use what one has gained or plundered from life to aid those who need remedy for material troubles. There is a munificence in life which blows as the breeze and hits us serendipitously as we need it, uplifting our vision, granting satisfaction.

Those who seem to have less character may nevertheless be pleasing in some way. Their participation in life is reticent or indirect, yet can be colorful and uplifting, even when they seem to have abandoned themselves to some foolishness or other. We can give one another a bit of slack just before the New Moon, after which things take on heartier and more definite outline.

Wednesday 10 April 2013

Sun in Aries and Moon in Aries-Taurus
/moon goes void-of-course at 9:26a PT | 12:26p ET | 4:26p UT
until it enters Taurus at 8:23p PT | 11:23p ET | 3:23a(Th) UT

|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week continues all day
(until Saturday morning)

A comet foretends disaster while a red flag waves.
The homeless man spilling liquid from his cup
Is guided to a loft. Two promises in the heart

Of a pregnant woman drive a man on horseback.

For those in business, or working on a project, or preoccupied with something which is difficult or hard to get started, let me recommend that although we are at the beginning of a new lunar cycle (the New Moon occurs very early today, time in yesterday's forecast), your best time for moving ahead with something outward, practical, and requiring cooperation from the world would be Saturday through Tuesday of this coming week. Today the moon is void-of-course and tomorrow remains in the |difficult third|. It has been rare lately to have four "good" or workable days in a row, so this looks positive to me. (Friday of this week might be included, making five straight days, although it is a little more doubtful.)

Masculine and feminine qualities and elements seem mingled while Venus and Mars remain together, the moon near them today. Part of you wants to push ahead with firm self-control and dominion, conquering. Another part of you holds back reticently, knowing with foresight that time is lord and things are developing gradually.

When there is a sense of injustice, there is a desire to agitate or activate (be an activist) for some cause. You may experience this or become aware of one who is doing it. The cause may be good and chivalrous but it seems that today much energy could be expended pointlessly especially if anger and argument appear on the agenda.
Some attract admirers without committing themselves. They don any and every mask to make an impression or a point. They may gain friends and affection because they relieve people of worries through humor. At best this can be spiritual dramatization.

Someone notorious or actually harmful, a criminal or tyrant, might come into your thinking. You want to understand why such individuals exist and why wrong things happen. Certainly it is well to ponder this, to come to terms with the laws of karma or ultimate justice. If we take karma as meaning "Well, the victim deserves it, why worry?" we are mistaking the whole point. As the world has learned over painful centuries, we need to protect those who could be victimized; otherwise we ourselves may be creating "bad karma" for ourselves. At the same time, there are limits to what can be done through law, and it can go too far, so we have to trust some greater Law beyond the human and rise to its calm guidance toward happier possibilities for all.

Easier rather than harder courses are always available, and sometimes we need them, especially when a too-difficult path would be pointless (as sometimes happens when the moon is void-of-course). It might look that we are tottering and unstable, unable to adhere to a firm direction. It is well to choose carefully what efforts are essential in your life at this time, and labor on with them, cutting away obstacles (most of them internal rather than external). Then the inessential and inapt will fall away, something solid will be achieved and there will be time for relaxation.

Youthful eagerness is inherent in the sign Aries where there is a stellium (four or more planets). Yet there are indications that some of this could get battered by circumstances, so that someone homeless, or a beggar or dependent one, needs help. Prayer can be telepathic, that is, have an effect on the individual prayed for (although addressed as it ought to be to the Supreme).

Some are wily and acquisitive. They think chicanery will serve them. If one sees into them, there will be a way of bringing their powers into accord with something ethical and progressive. Designating them as servants of a particular purpose could be a big help to them.

You sense that your natural powers are strong, and fit for action. Then you pause, and wonder if something more private, some activity natural to you but not flamboyant, might be better than the direct aggressive attack. The preparatory stages of projects are nothing to be ashamed of. Even if ambitious, they proceed quietly.
