\Determination, with Mutual Respect/

Mercury continues retrograde until the week after Thanksgiving. Have you noticed the "piling up of things" in your consciousness? As if you did not know where to begin? So much to do and think about. At sea. Then there are "other people," who may seem unreliable or "flakey."

With in all that, there is guidance. You know whom you trust. Someone of vast intellect and profound intelligence. This is your guide or teacher. You need that link desperately now.

One thing it will do is help you confront the problems of others, which could weigh upon you. How did that paragon of intelligence and wisdom meet such problems? That will give you the clues you need.

Your career or mission is i mportant to you, but seems ill-defined. You are groping for a better understanding of it. How can you save others? Do you need to save yourself first, or will saving them impel you to save yourself? What sacrifice is needed, and what self-interest?

Again, the influence of important, brilliant, admirable individuals will help you figure this out. You might become or be such a person yourself, but to do that you will ride (much of the way) on the shoulders of those who have gone before.

The "self-interest" part of the program is interesting now. Money! People are fractured over it, fighting over it, uncertain about it, because of the so-called "fiscal cliff" which is a cliff in the minds only of the blind lemmings who seem to want to run over it. There is too much self-mutiliation while Mercury is retrograde. People sense the metaphysical futility of many material desires and tend then to go too far, rejecting common sense self-preservation. Fears become morsels to savor. Hey, let's stop all that. There is no "cliff."

Venus during this period has some nice aspects suggesting that despite the foregoing, you will enjoy sunshine, beauty and gladness. (At least "metaphysical sunshine" no matter the weather.) People can be light-hearted. They appreciate the admiration and flattery showered upon them. There are paths of charm and good fortune to be dawdled upon.

You will experience valor and determination also, the more masculine side of the picture. "I am somebody, I know something, I am doing something important. Recognize that!" Yes, everybody should recognize that! Especially, you feel, when your path is partly one of sacrifice. As long as it doesn't become arrogant, this attitude will lift you to a place where you can insist on the best path you have trod and fortified for yourself, holding to an inflexible course in the face of anyone's detraction or ridicule. You don't completely rule or control them, but the reverse of that sure as heck is not true. So they had better treat you with respect.
