*The Other as Challenge and Fulfillment*
Mars and Venus have been in a good aspect, a sextile, for quite a while, since August 25 by a ten-degree orb, through September 26 or another twelve days. The epicenter of this could be said to be September 2-18, or through this next weekend. Ordinarily these are times when relations between the sexes, or within any friendship whether same- or other-sex, are harmonious and happy. This time the trend might seem muted or less than obvious because Venus is in Virgo the sign of her fall, and Mars in Cancer the sign of his fall. However, there are still plenty of indications of happiness shared with someone close to you, or someone in your mind or imagination at least, a sense of communion which might have erotic or non-erotic connotations, but is worth considering, and perhaps promoting if you are of a mind to do so.
At the same time, Venus approaches an opposition with Uranus, which does not cancel the above but modifies it. This is the "You are so weird!" aspect. The peculiar differences of the Other are more obvious, perhaps, and sometimes jarring. This is a normal part of any relationship or friendship but could be more problematic than usual; however, the sextile previously discussed should trump it, and perhaps the opposition just makes the relationship more interesting.
Today, Wednesday, the moon's opposition with Saturn does not help either, but makes things more gloomy or, shall we say, realistic. This has repercussions in work and perhaps in finances. The laws of karma limit all of us in certain ways and today is a day that will be felt. Knowing what one's current limits are helps one to rise beyond them and stretch them eventually.
The trine of Mercury with Jupiter is beneficent and is exact today. You are able to straighten out and set in order anything which has been difficult technically. Your work or job, or a personal project, are gaining definition in a way which feels satisfying. Today, more than Tuesday, you may see how to share this skill of yours with those who appreciate it or benefit from it. Such appreciation, because of the previous paragraph, may not be evident now but the hope of it keeps you going.
Erotic impulses are often transmuted into spiritual illumination. This could be happening. The frustration of love, mixed with the love-impulse, leads to something transcendent, becoming more evident later in the evening as the moon begins a sextile with Neptune. Sweet dreams!
