*Trends Toward Reconstruction or Rapprochement*

Let's be more optimistic today than yesterday. The moon, not void of course, is in Leo, sextile Saturn and trine five Aries planets. This reduces the suffering of the Aries-Libra opposition and helps us feel we are balancing things wisely: successful jugglers rather than fumblers.

Costs connected with travel and partnership are significant. You have a good handle on them. There is merit in your plans.

You may be concerned about your career, as if you felt secretly slandered. What people say behind your back, if untrue or distorted, does not have to concern you if you oppose it mentally, in your mind, or in conversation so long as that does not seem defensive. Suspicion of those in power positions might be warranted, if they have made mistakes which hurt those "under" them. How you deal with this is a matter for prayerful consideration. It is wise to be reticent and self-contained; your ponderings touch on matters which might kindle explosion if set forth harshly.

Some are concerned about money, in a too miserly manner; a more relaxed attitude, realizing that loss precedes gain, would release anxiety. The liberal-conservative battle over government financing is just too old and banal to be taken seriously by anyone informed about history. The very rich pay taxes far lower than they have payed at any time since 1931. A slight increase would not hurt them; it would help them because it would sustain the overall economy, the cash cow they milk. But of course there are those who throw out misinformation and outright lies to obscure that fact. (If you doubt what I just said, study the latest issue of the Christian Science Monitor Weekly and the columns of Paul Krugman, superb economist.) Also, why are not the "entitlements" of military officers---enormous retirement pay lasting for decades---ever brought into question as worthy of mild reduction? Or the retirement pay of government officials? Or the enormous sums doled out to military contractors for weapons never used?

In relaxed moments you may perceive the panorama of life in a way which releases and refreshes. You feel self-confident, collected. This is especially true if you know you have given much to the human scheme around you. You can choose the path right for you, quickly dismissing others you know subconsciously to be mistakes. Your insights are foreviews into what can be done to pull your world together in a solid manner.

That means you will have to choose to reject the false possibilities which tempt you (test your judgment). Divine instincts, awakened by spiritual-scriptural study, give you calm judgment as sure protection.

It is well to be loyal and friendly to those familiar, intimate, or just near by, because no matter what their diversity or peculiarity, they reflect you and your hopes back to yourself instructively. They awaken dormant talents in ways which could never be foreseen. That could be interesting.
