~Strategic Effort and the Golden Mean~

Yesterday I suggested that Thursday and Friday might be the "best'" days of this week, to which I might add tomorrow, Wednesday; but today is still in the suspicious category. I would be careful about any transaction, and probably postpone it. There is a nicer, smoother emotional tone today than Monday, but for practical decisions I would be wary.

Financial matters may look "up" by the end of the week but might look somewhat dismal today.

There is a pleasure-seeking motif. It seems sad to me that the world we have been put in requires us to modify or subdue our pleasures in order to protect ourselves from suffering, as the ancient Stoics and even the Epicureans understood. The Golden Mean of Aristotle was one attempt to reconcile these contraries. It may be germane to today's proceedings in a big way. "Enough but not too much." Many difficulties require patience while we are still in the fading |stressful third of the week| and the moon is in the Via Combusta. A semi-religious attitude, or religious people, could be good for you, with hints of philanthropy and mutual benefits through small sacrifices which improve things for all.

A cunning sort of caution will help in dealing with people or relationships. You do not have to be sneaky, but can arrive at canny conclusions and strategies. This might be more considerate than stepping on toes by overlooking diplomacy or discretion. There is a strong desire for freedom in anyone close to you or whom you encounter. So there is a desire to avoid any changes which seem to threaten roaming-at-will liberty. You are proficient in anything you try to do if you consider everything from two viewpoints and balance them as well as you can. Then you gain better cooperation.

A high or foremost position could be yours, through work which actually pleases you, for your pleasure in it makes it all the more effective and appreciated. Somehow, your efforts are paying off, whether finances look better or worse. Probably the rest of the week will show they are better than they appear. Being reliable, as consistently as possible, is magically good karma.

Defining purposes, as well as you can, makes you more determined to carry through. There is a wonderful artistry around you, in which you bask, which infiltrates your thinking so that what you do seems talented and interesting. Working hard does not seem hard. Something at home you have put on your wall reminds you of ancient or older traditions or individuals who inspire you. Anyone who has opposed some of your plans, positions or intentions may be reconsidering, and willing to give up some unreasonable position for the sake of peace and the greater good.
