}Peaceful Fortitude{

As I write I am waiting for the speech of Hosni Mubarak, expected to be a "step-down" or resignation speech. [Now, an hour later, it is obvious that it was not that, although it might be a step in the right direction by a stubborn Taurus who refuses to budge from power; and the moon is in Taurus as he speaks!] At the same time I have been studying mundane charts (mundane astrology is the astrology of world and political events). This has been highly valuable, so I have to thank the Egyptian people for showing me something important. I arrived at a decision about which "monthly" or return charts are most accurate in world events. I studied not only what is happening right now in Egypt but what has happened in the past, including the symbolically all-important 9/11/01 events, and quite a few others.

There can indeed be progress in astrology through careful research.

Friday's chart has a strong emphasis of the 10th house of government and so confirms the obvious fact that today much will be happening in connection with Egypt's future government. In your own life, you may see that your career is undergoing a sort of revolution in a positive direction. You seem to be working like the proverbial busy beaver at tasks or projects which you know will raise you in your own (and possibly others') estimation. Your aptitudes and excellencies are secure if you believe in and develop them. There is rivalry and there are differences among those with whom you have to work, but it is possible to work around, with or past the differences, or finesse them in one way or another.

So many people are thinking lately about travel or home change, whether temporary or "removal" as the British say. It is a desire for fresh scenes, or old scenes, or anything which offers budding promise. It could be strong today, with the Part of Fortune in the 4th sector while the moon is increasing and we remain in a Bright Hermetic Epoch. You may be in the process of deciding where you will be in future months including the summer and fall, and this may be the right time for such choices so far as feasible.

Venus has been square Jupiter and Uranus during the rebellion in Egypt, and now it is moving to the square of Saturn. We shall see what that means as it happens, but the square of these two is never pleasant. I do not see it as violence, but as wearing despair, fatigue and disappointment.

People's courage is being tested, their willingness to continue to protest, or to demonstrate their audacity and ability to climb toward the heights to which they aspire. You can see this in your own life. You feel zeal to attain to what you want to attain. Light rather than darkness is with you. Yet you may doubt this and feel gloomy at times. This would be true earlier in the day, more likely, with things improving by evening when the moon having entered Gemini will sextile Jupiter. Some issues just do not go away, and there is a question of surrender---who will surrender? That is what is going on in Egypt, and probably in some aspect of your life.

I hope my prediction that there would not be major violence is true, but today there could be a violent mood (and let's hope it will not be explosive, as crowds perhaps storm the presidential palace in Heliopolis). People's patience has limits, but of course physical violence must be avoided. A refined expression of protest is a hard thing but could be essential, also in your life when you are dealing with "authorities" whom you believe to be out of sync with what is right.

The beauty and grace in human beings is a factor we should not discountenance, and it will be in evidence especially in today's later hours.

As that becomes apparent, an ameliorating influence, I hope the protesters in Egypt will calm themselves and face their Taurus tyrant (Saddam Hussein was another one of those) with fortitude which is not impatient but able to work out the right strategies, which may take days, rather than attempt wrong ones immediately, which could have disastrous results. Let them pray, and let their women do that and be a harmonizing influence on their men. Let their astrologers (at one time there were brilliant Egyptian, Arabic and Muslim astrologers) study the horoscope of Mubarak, which is a fascinating one, to know how to deal with him at this point. Let there be music, chants and prayers. There have to be Muslim as well as Jewish and Christian angels! They are not impotent.
