^Caution and Patience^
Moon in Aries
|Karmically serious or sobering third| of this week is with us (until Sunday afternoon-evening) and is closest to exact at 11:54a PT | 2:54p ET | 7:54p UT
I am an optimist, and a cultivated one, that is, I choose to boost my optimism by spiritual study, including that of the American Christian Science and New Thought writers of the last 150 years (Mary Baker Eddy, Emma Curtis Hopkins, Charles Fillmore, among others.) I am also an astrologer who has seen the amazing validity or applicability of the symbols given out by two 19th-century European clairvoyants and one 20th-century American one. Combining these two traditions is not always easy. Especially when, as today, some of the symbols supposed to be effective are unpleasant to me, or concerned with fighting, either military fights or animal ones. However, we can see even in relatively non-violent American politics an enormous amount of verbal "fighting" at an unusual volume at the present time, and for another year at least. Plus, millions of people love to watch "fighting" as entertainment, whether in sporting events or movies or TV series like The Game of Thrones (which I have never viewed) (and many others). And so it can be said that the human race has not risen above "fighting" and so these symbols continue to have some applicability. For peaceful individuals, this can be mostly figurative, that is, they may, without actually coming to blows, or even getting into a verbal argument, view or hear these "fights" going on in the media or among friends. Or watch them as entertainment. Those who like games may work it out in that way.
However that may apply to you, one symbol for today is "A battlefield where two contending armies are engaged in deadly conflict." Of course this might be literal, in Syria, Turkey, and other places, though I hope not. It might apply to the Republican-Democratic disputes which flood (or pollute) the media. "Deadly" is of course figurative in most cases, thank our Lord. Charubel warns that we must be watchful over our conduct. Another symbol is "A tiger crouching as if for assault." This could refer to a memory. Is there someone who has been treacherous to you in your thoughts or feelings? You might suffer that subtle aggression over and over again, stewing about it. Charubel recommends "reserve and firmness" as the basis of strategy. I would add, of course, prayer and understanding: "Love your enemies" or forgive them on the basis of the Golden Rule. Easier recommended than done.
There is more: Warnings of cruelty, even toward the defenseless, such as animals. I admire greatly the groups and individuals (such as PETA, Farm Sanctuary, and more) who are trying to end cruelty to animals. It might be good to donate to one of them. https://aldf.org/article/laws-that-protect-animals/
Another symbol is "A woman charming snakes, one of which is twined about her neck." This does not refer so much to cruelty as to jealousy, or poisoned love which tries to manipulate the loved one.
Maybe these nefarious symbols come up because today is the center of the |karmically difficult third| of this week (exact time given above).
Finally, if we have traversed the preceding, there are indications of the unusual or distinctive, of something which even has humor attached to it, as if someone were "wearing a mask as in a play." What seems malicious or mocking could just be sarcastic humor. People play roles, simulating one another's styles.
If we lighten up the preceding, we might take it all as suggesting that we be cognizant of others' sufferings and needs, bend a little to be understanding, and help when we can.
