So much has been going on in the solar system, as related to our planet in the geocentric scheme of observation, that I have been tongue-tied. It is very hard to combine all these multitudinous and often conflicting indications. I will take a few:
Jupiter square Pluto has been with us by 3 degrees since Election Day, and has corresponded with the incredible uptick in the stock market, with some indexes such as the Russell 2000 (smaller companies for the most part) going up every day for 13 days in a row. This is nearly unheard of. Not only as related to the Market but to Donald Trump, hear this from Reinhold Ebertin on Jupiter square Pluto: "Far-reaching and fantastic endeavor; pronounced desire to assert oneself, desire to be at the top, to lead, to become rich." I don't think I need to add much to that.
Then, the sun conjunct Saturn. This is anxiety, doubt, seclusion, pessimism, restriction. So despite the Market's soar, or because of it, many are feeling left out. Maybe they were "bears" and didn't trust what the market would do after Trump was elected, and so had to sit on the sidelines watching it gain quite a few percentage points which they missed completely. Hard. Or maybe they got into the rally, but rather late, and so are now worried that the Market---as it tends to do---will now reverse itself just after they put their money into it. So we have unease despite the apparent gains.
Sun and Saturn together trine Uranus and sextile Mars (while also Uranus is sextile him) is good for strength, for showing what one can do, for muscle men or sportsmen, maybe for high-flying businessmen or investors. (Trump has appointed seven or eight individuals to Cabinet or other high-level Administration positions who worked for Goldman Sachs.)
All these trends continue this week. The Full Moon adds color, variety, full consciousness and exaltation.
What I have not reported on as yet is the Dark Hermetic Epoch. Actually, I was a little weary of pointing it out this time because the Presidential election did not occur during a DHE but a BHE (Bright Hermetic Epoch). The Dark one began a week ago on Friday December 2. Apologies for not pointing that out here. The Trump victory was such an upset that honestly I did not expect it to occur during a BHE. The horrid 2000 election which dragged on for week and weeks because of Florida's problems happened during a DHE, as one would expect.
If you have been reading these reports a few years, you don't need me to point out what the DHE means. If you are new, I will be explaining it many times over the next couple of months until it ends on January 27. Don't be alarmed; "dark" is a good time for parties, entertainment, sleep and dreams. In the outer world it can be a lot of backtracking, but also happy memories and re-established friendships. It corresponds to the "right brain," the intuitive side of our minds, rather than the "left brain" prominent in the BHE---the rational, clearly-planning side of our minds. So it can be "a trip" in one way or another, or many ways.
However, Mercury does not go retrograde (as it always does in the middle of a DHE) until the 19th, so this week still has opportunities for positive go-ahead projects or plans if you are careful about them and not too hasty. That is specially true this time because of the good aspects I have mentioned. But that should probably not include major life-changes such as quitting a job or a marriage or moving, unless the change was worked out and consolidated during the previous BHE and is just now ready to be put into effect. I would try to get pre-holiday things finished by the 19th when possible. The schedule:
