*Signals of Desire Heeded Patiently*
One of the things teachers and learners in the Kingdom of Heaven keep discovering is that it is through new experiences, new "problems," that old truths become manifest. That is, in the solution of the new problems by old truths, the old truths become fresh while the problems turn from painful to pleasurable. And so it is pointless to avoid problems or the effort they entail. When all seems lost because one has tried in a pointless way, opening locks with wrong keys, an honest attempt to face problems with whatever one has in oneself succeeds.
Mercury started to move forward on Sunday afternoon, though very slowly. (My statement in Monday's forecast that Mercury was still retrograde was a mistake, technically, although as I have often pointed out, the Dark Hermetic Epoch extends for a couple weeks beyond Mercury's "station" which occurred Sunday.) With Mercury trine Neptune, there is a sense of internal balancing, as if a higher level of inspiration (Neptune) is aiding our minds to find their ways, though slowly. Today there could be some pointless jumping, and therefore falling, from one level or interest to another (moon conjunct Uranus), unless one tunes in calmly to that higher inspiration. Music and singing, vocally or internally, can help. When attuned to the over-all harmony of which each of our turmoils is a note, the turmoils together become melodies.
People's desires can be intense, compelled by something unfulfilled within them. The effort to understand others' desires is more fruitful than trying to understand one's own, because theirs are reflected back into one's own with illumination. Creative sensitiveness to the thrust of passion is acumen. It shows unsuspected links among people and their emotional dynamics. We can open ourselves to the longer-lasting meaning of things; become seers. Then we find that even cowardly or cruel individuals are growing out of their errors, and sense ways to assist that. Cruelty is cowardice because in indulging it we are trying to compel someone to be something he is not in order to avoid what he is. If someone does that to you, you can see that he is to be pitied. If you do it to someone, you have still to learn something from that person.
You have ambitions and could influence people well, but might fritter that power away through lack of steadiness, so it is well to try with confidence. Even if success seems fitful or delayed, the attempt breeds further success. The long patient approach is better than the impatient, fitful, jumping-around approach. You can count on reassuring signals about what to expect if you keep your poise and determination.

*Desire Pampered or Squashed?*
While keeping up with things, whatever your agenda, still there is room for fun. You may be wisely reticent about some factors which people would not understand. Too often it is easy to take a too-easy path. That could include some daring impetuosity which doesn't have a clue. Desires raise their crazy heads and demand the impossible. It is wise to pay karmically for what you get with a certain amount of effort.
The softness of ideals cherished as pabulum is good for you (Mercury trine Neptune) and picks up the moods of others. There is some danger of scattering your substance or money wastefully, as in a gamble. What is excellent in you does not have to be foisted upon the world but will display itself naturally when you live it. Inspiration leads to accomplishment.
Something in your consciousness is finding answers (Mercury and Jupiter in a septile). You are sensitive creatively to signals from everywhere. If you use cards, the I Ching, stones, tea leaves, horary astrology, any method of divination you may get answers which are much better than chance. Or at least they supplement your own judgment until you feel sure. It is good however to be certain you are not led about by "evil spirits" or mischievous ones. That is a possibility. You may hear of tragedies caused by them. Although G*d's good purposes cannot ultimately be thwarted, we should be on guard in our own bailiwicks. When people have overweening passionate desires (Venus conjunct Pluto both square Uranus) they can veer toward coercion (as in rape or ravishment).
Trying things which don't pan out is a part of life. The "gamble" mentioned may be just a gaming spirit, to see what happens, where loss is not really loss but a gain of humility and poise. If other gains are wanted too desperately there can be trouble or bitter disappointment. The acumen of your consciousness can determine what is worth trying, no matter what the odds, and what would be pointlessly wasteful or hurtful. The signals are there for you to catch and lean on, protecting you from insecurity.
