\Lordy, Another New Moon Coming!/
We glide down to the New Moon of Virgo on Saturday evening. Health,
diet, and exercise take a prominent place in the cares of many. Perhaps
you have been working out an improved regimen for yourself over recent
weeks. You may try further to clarify and firm it up. Energies and
ambitions may be low at this time but you want to keep your body in
shape one way or another.
[Pessimist: You are trying to do something which requires constant
labor and are tired of it. Does anybody even credit that you know what
you are doing? "Friends" try to be nice but say things which miss the
mark. Material gains you make seem dependent on the whims of others. You
are nothing but entertainment for people. Ideas of a "different place
to be" are in the back of your mind but are premature.] Optimist:
Despite the disagreement and even rancor you face concerning differing
religious, political, or spiritual values, you keep on keeping on with
your approach, which has destiny behind it. It is like turning an
enormous wheel to keep your world alive and in focus. It can't fail when
you are attuned to the truth. And when all goes well, it feels like
entertainment, on the mental plane at least. You could please people
with words, expressions and body language.
[P: Will this never end? Constant trivia requiring attention and
labor. Details which seem insignificant but have to be attended to
rigorously. Your abilities seem insufficient or questionable. You labor
on and get little in return. Are you becoming a misanthrope? You would
like to "own" people but they won't be owned. So you are lonely; an
outcast.] O: You are not totally unsociable, just in a phase where
lonely contemplation is what you need. The work which seems pointless
actually keeps your mind focused and is excellent for your mental
health; if you neglected it you would degenerate. There is deep truth in
melancholy; it opens your heart and soul to eternal truths which last
when desires fade or change direction.
[P: Those who have inspired you the most are either angry with you
or displeased. Those were the days, when you were together in a far-away
place and shared intense aspirations! A girl or boy smiles at you, and
you know it's out of pity, or vanity; she doesn't want you, as you would
find out if you tried to get closer. It's superficial, fun for a
moment; then she or he goes home to a lover.] O: Actually this is
amazing; there is renewed life in people! Someone who feels intensely
and expresses his or her feelings freely is a breath of fresh air. You
feed on each other's enthusiasm. It doesn't matter what the chat or
gossip is about; it's thrilling. Someone gregarious and friendly brings
magic into your life.
[P: Another morning. Bathroom and kitchen routines. Boring. Another
day with sunshine's promise--for someone else. Where will it end? Even
the "someone else" looks pitiable, dragging his bones around. Maybe I
should move to the Poor Farm or live on the street and eat church
suppers. There is not much else to look forward to.] O: A fresh morning!
A New Moon coming! Everything is rejuvenated or will be soon. Resources
are everywhere; I need only be alert to them: the unexpected is a
blessing. The elderly, the homeless, the young punks and the idle are
children of God and deserve kindness and good will. Misery loves company
and we're in this together.

ReplyDeletePS: It looks like void of course will be while I am sleeping. If only they rest of the world would sleep for that bit too...
