A man is sitting at a table with a carving knife,
Ready to prepare a sumptuous meal--good living.
Then a woman of dark countenance appears
And he prostrates himself before her. Sinister.

A rug is placed on a floor, a space for children to play,
Giving them comfort and convenience for refinement.
Overlooking them is a lady with rounded features,
Fair skin, auburn hair and deep blue eyes.

A man stands beside her, then face to face,
Their hands clasped in perfect accord, union.
A man bringing down the new law from Sinai
Possesses eternal authority implicit in human
/
Ideals. He has a mandate to uplift pleasure and
Dalliance to superhuman peaks of righteousness.
