More clues about the coming week, January 14-20:
Mercury remains retrograde. Cut back judiciously on your “news” intake. How much of it is just slanted opinion? How much has been thoroughly researched? How much is wishful thinking of one political side or another? How much will vanish in a week or two, totally forgotten? How much is just an attempt of supposed newsmakers to get transient attention? Good guess: 90 per cent of it falls into one of those categories. Do something better with your time. Read a classic, or a Scripture. You will be REmembering history’s lessons as a basis for personal spiritual REsurrection.
One very good thing about Mercury Retrograde (or slow) is that we REconnect, at least in memory, with old friends or relatives. Yesterday I got a Christmas card from an old cousin and his wife and it was the nicest thing in my mailbox. Also, when a visiting friend got up to leave I framed his standing figure as a photo in my mind and felt “I want to remember him this way no matter what happens.” Then after he left tears came to my eyes. He is healthy and strong but Mercury’s retrogradation gives Time a different flavor as if we were REcalling past or future lives in this one.
Venus is moving closer to Saturn. This is poignance. That friend reported to me how he is feeling sad about a lost love he wants to recover. I feel for him in a big way. Tears of love-frustration are normal at times like this and ought not to be considered weak or sappy. They are evidence of Soul. May we all realize that love is eternal.
