We have another week of Mercury Retrograde, until the 18th. How has it been for you? (It began December 29.) Mixed, for me. Major problems averted, thank the Lord, but minor ones in spades. My computer has been REfusing to work in the mornings without REstarting. Then, as if by clockwork, a high-pitched whine or screech in my neighborhood's electrical wiring began, as if often does during MR periods. Very disturbing, though it stopped at times, then started again. Finally, after REpeated attempts to contact the City Lights people, I was able to talk to someone yesterday (dear Saaba) who promised to look into it. She did, and within two hours the noise stopped and I've had RElief for more than a day. I called her today to thank her.
Lesson from that: we may need REpeated efforts to untangle things during the MR periods. But RElief is possible.
As for the planetary aspects, they may be taking a turn for the worse, for the affectionate Venus sextile Mars is diminishing as well as the gift-conferring Venus sextile Jupiter, and taking their place is the emotionally disruptive Venus square Uranus, which can be an "end of a friendship" aspect. (January 7-22.) Usually it is just a rift, healed over later, but it can be upsetting while it lasts. Today a friend told me he may end a friendship with someone. I believe that will be temporary. Grant Lewi says this aspect brings "disappointment through misplaced or frustrated affections." Countering this is the sun's sextile with Jupiter, now through at least February 5, which facilitates sociability, health, recognition and pleasure.
And, as mentioned here several times, the coming zodiacal year, March 20, 2023 to March 20, 2024, looks like a relief from many of the hassles of the current year, maybe beginning a little earlier by March 7. It's not that we should "live in the future" but that we should not be despondent if things take a while to sort out.
