^In the Middle of Something^
We are all so focused on the pandemic and how to deal with it that it would be unduly repetitive for me to be talking about that continually in this weekly forecast. So I will just drop it, for the most part, and let you focus on whatever you wish while you read the projection. You can apply what is said here to the pandemic or to other things in your own life.
[I'll put this discussion of astrological methods in brackets because if you aren't interested in astrological techniques you don't have to read it. I have struggled to find an accurate and helpful weekly method for years. I feel I am closer to it than ever. It seems that I can use symbols for the week also, although that means treating the week as one "quantum" and assuming that on Saturday there is a quantum leap into a new week which is an entity unto itself, just as I treat each day as such a quantum entity. That is okay and good, if it works. It is still a question whether using symbols for where the planets are on a particular day and moment can apply to a whole week. I know that that works for each day, but the week is a longer spread or "quantum." Anyway I am going to try, as an experiment. I won't explain in detail the exact method for arriving at the 10 symbols I am going to use, out of 30 possible symbols (or more). It is complex. Let's see how it goes.]
First, something based on long-term trends apart from the weekly symbolic situation. I had said that things would "get better" during March 30-April 6. You may think I was wrong. In terms of the pandemic, things have in fact gotten better in some regions, but not in others. They have not gotten better in New York and since the national media are concentrated there, it sounds as if things have not gotten better anywhere. But let's not go into arguing about that. I think that what has "gotten better" is our ways of dealing with the situation, though that is still evolving of course. I would expect further improvements beginning April 11 which happens to be the day before Easter.
Taking ten symbols for the week (the system of choosing the ten has worked perfectly for the week that included 9/11/2001 and for a few other important weeks I have checked), we begin with the hardest ones.
"A man on the ground with this throat cut." Of course there is much thought of death at the present time, but we do not have to succumb to it. Let's help, medically and otherwise, anyone we know who is suffering, and pray. Says Charubel of those experiencing this moment of the zodiac: They "are advised to do all in their power to fortify the soul, and pray to God for help and guidance."
"A target pierced by a rapier." Whether this is good or bad depends on whether one is the target or the rapier. Someone or something is vulnerable. Some would take advantage of that, whether in sports, business, or sexuality. The dangers are obvious, yet "extreme powers of penetration" could be turned to the good. One must not deny one's own convictions or one could let oneself be headstrong and impulsive, which would lead to "sore troubles or disgrace." Says Sepharial: "Let him beware of the direct thrust and practice the use of the two-edged sword." This symbol fits with the very close square between Mars and Uranus, sometimes excitation and passion to the point of disaster.
"The hollow trunk of a large tree covered with moss" represents, says Charubel, "one who will outlive the other members of his family; will probably be the last of his race." This is "a romantic degree," that is, invested with memory and nostalgia, the lingering glory of things that were. "The Way We Were." Somewhat correlative is "Information in the symbol of an autumn leaf." This could be a prediction of decline and decay, yet autumn and its leaves are beautiful, bringing up memories of "the way we were." It's spring now, but we might be pondering what we will be doing next fall. I saw that a promising new treatment for the "corona"virus (I refuse to crown it) could be tested in the summer and available by fall. That seems way too long to wait. The keyword for the degree is Tact so maybe we are pondering what we will be like or what we will have achieved in the autumn of our lives, hinting to ourselves tactfully that there is more to do.
Lighter moods are suggested by "A water sprite" who could grace our lonely days and evenings with restless richness and spontaneity. We dare to escape the drab and commonplace. Likewise "A helical scroll," turning in changeful circles, is rather peculiar to ordinary sight. One might "lose himself in the multitude of his projects and imaginings." Something to do during cabin fever, perhaps. Dreams and fancies are fine, but we could add "definition of purpose" to the mix.
When we have done that we might find ourselves one of "Two men standing in a field fighting a duel. Between them lies a rich purple-gold vesture and a casket of jewels." It might depend partly on chance whether we can "win a competence for ourselves by great hazards." That is what investors feel like these days. We attempt to gain wealth and position, and either succeed or "perish in the attempt." Well, not really let's hope, but it's a "do or die" situation. It may be promising because "reapers are at work in a field of ripe corn 'neath the rays of the sun." Abundance is one's lot "after middle life" says Charubel. Well, we are in the middle of something.
"A man in armor, fully equipped and bearing a shield" has earned Security for himself. He is "brave and dauntless" yet "cautious and circumspect," so he "surmounts the machinations of enemies and breaks down all opposition." He is "defended at all points by the goodwill of friends and associates." "A bridge being built across a gorge" could be the project they assume together. They use a direct, practical instinct to "transform physical limitations into social assets" thus being dependable in intelligent ways. Then the bridge they build will also be dependable. The keyword is Channelship.
