~Awkward or Impressive, the Attempt~
From Psalm 40:
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
And to "the great congregation" I say: Seeking the Lord, in whatever way you are able, is better than reading Cosmic Piper's forecasts. These latter, however, are trying to announce things not incompatible with the Lord's directives; and perhaps failing as often as succeeding; but that is for Him and you to decide. Taken properly, I hope they will magnify Him; for without Him there is no cosmos, no solar system, no astrology, and no human life to reflect His designs in the infinite variations which must please Him to be at all.
On Tuesday, instincts of self-indulgence could be prominent, which is bad or good depending on the way you let them manifest. You may hide from some in order to be with others; then wonder why you are with these others; then enjoy yourself with them anyway.
Someone you like, with a magical personality, is girlish or boyish. You might be with her or him in a sedate setting which brings out old settled traditions in a current version. A gregarious quality passes on experience and understanding from generation to generation.
Someone with strong desires is an enthusiast. He (she) says whatever is on his (her) mind. An artistic or musical setting is favorable at least for a time. People are strong in their beliefs and loyalties and so offend one another easily.
It is well to take care and protect yourself from those who would exploit you. This may mean simply wise discretion in choosing companions. They could waste your time or get you stranded on some desert island for a while. You might escape from that more surely after the Via Combusta (time above).
Uncertainties can be dramatized through humor, making it easier to decide. A joke can light up a situation and show the path. There is something you want to give out through your excellence; it flows from you when you press on, displaying talents despite doubts. If people laugh, they don't dampen your spirits.
Awkwardness is a naturally repeating stage in the school of life. But faculties improve through use. At a certain age one may feel one is no longer in school, yet the effort to advance and improve is immortal. One's faculties are not blunted at 90 any more than at 9 but the 9-year-old as well as the nonagenarian may feel inept or backward. Then it is time to think of what you are slowly building, and continue with faith that none of your attempts are lost.

~Beyond Controversy, Equanimity's Laughter~
The square between Uranus and Jupiter, commented upon a couple weeks ago, continues into October. It is specially strong now because of its position in the chart and because it is the defining square of a vise-shaped planetary pattern. This means among other things serious disagreements about religion, religious figures, spiritual figures, teachings in general, academics, viewpoints on society and the law, politics, on and on--in a word, radical disagreement. What to do about this? Realize that the human race is young, in fact rather stupid, learning slowly over the centuries and millennia through a long process of individual and racial reincarnation. Not many are ready for Sri Aurobindo's vision of the Supermind in which all differences of opinion are harmonized in an integral Truth-Consciousness. Further, those who are ready for that, and understand it partially, will be regarded, if they mention it, as merely proponents of some dogma or other, which is simply not true.
Wednesday: You hold on to your integrity, your principles, even when this seems disadvantageous in a material or social sense. That means you are blessed by the gods, if not by humanity. The poor man of principle is richer than the wealthy man of deception. You are blessed also in human associations. There is a loving, harmonious atmosphere (partly because of the moon's sextile wtih Venus) which brings people together appreciating each other.
A spontaneous tendency can be rejuvenating and thrilling. The unexpected is stimulation, a tonic. There are those who love to surprise or astonish, perhaps with a crude sense of humor, prodding people to "lighten up," like the Fool's service to the brooding King. However, you and others may be in too serious a mood to appreciate this fully. There is a quest, a need for discovery, perhaps through ancient records, delving into secret knowledge.
Someone well-proportioned and youthful, strong in appearance, as if military with or without costume, perhaps with headgear, is also cheery and lighthearted as if singing to lift moods. Perhaps no one, including himself or herself, understands what all this means. Luna squaring the sun on one side and Neptune on the other suggests that purposes are murky (to the intellect even if limpid to the soul).
Whoever is a guide for you, a revered and intelligent teacher, is in his element, ready to aid you, shining down from the sky. It does not matter if there are obstacles and delays in various facets of your situation if that guiding light is with you and you respond to it intuitively.
Equanimity is a gift. It comes to those who have developed some transcendental wisdom. They know that what they think and feel about things is more important than events themselves, and are willing to wait for happier eventualities while appreciating what is available. They are able to enjoy even the ridiculous, laughing at it because unafraid of its mocking pretension.
Those who like ceremony may be pleased with what happens, even if others ridicule them. Ritualistic observances knit up the psyche so it is ready again for life. Someone of a devotional disposition is serious about what he believes and willing to persist in his faith through various lapses or temptations until he can settle himself on a secure foundation, content with his reward.
