Or are neighbors spying on each other? 2 On a more sophisticated level, "a professor peering over his glasses" is a strategist of the intellect, at least in his field of specialization. Ideally he develops real insight and understanding. 3 There could be transcendental beauty. "A large bubble floats on the water, in which all the colors are blending." Some of us, idealists or occultists, seem strangers to ordinary matters of everyday. 4 There is transcendent harmony in "a beautiful scene of the country wherein all elements conspire to enchant the eye and hold the spirit in a mood of silent adoration." Many individuals are attractive, gentle and thoughtful. Many are fond of the open country.
