Message for Wednesday 4 December 2024
☆ Sextant and Compass ☆ 1 "A man afloat upon a raft" is all of us in the toils of. Mercury Retrograde, November 25--December 15. We feel abandoned. A neighbor in my apartment building, afflicted by drugs and apparent dementia, has been crying out for help. The sun is exactly square Saturn as I write on Tuesday, one of the harshest and most challenging aspects. We are all being tested, it seems. Although Saturn is in Pisces, shipwreck is not necessary. 2 "A quantity of books and papers in disorder" is the milieu of many of us as we try to comprehend what's going on. Do you grasp why the President of South Korea and its parliament are disagreeing over martial law? What is happening in Aleppo? Is Zelensky finally ready for a peace deal with Russia? What are his terms? Will Israeli hostages be released as Trump is demanding? When the world is in disorder, so are the media trying to report on it. (I am finding Axios a somewhat reliable source.) Also, what are your literary and intellectual tastes, and how are you fulfilling them? 3 How we need "a sextant and compass"! We want to be reliable and useful guides for others. To be a cardinal man or woman one has to follow exact, almost mathematical principles. The "raft" of #1 then becomes a ship which one can navigate. Probably your guidelines will be different from mine. You can re*model them if need be during this retrograde cycle. 4 Our questing ramifies in time and space yet is nicely measurable by "the constellations in the sky." Ordering things is a beginning of understanding them. As mentioned, current aspects are challenging, but there is some relief from December 12th-27th while Venus trines Jupiter, above Christmas decorations, eggnog, holly, and all the affluence of these two benefic planets. In divine and human goodwill we find surety, assurance. Wednesday ☆Sextant and Compass ☆ Cosmic Piper Moon in Capricorn-->Aquarius Void of course at 3:35p PT / 6:35p ET till entering Aquarius at 8:22p PT / 11:22p ET
