I am often astonished at how blind astrologers are to what is right in front of their faces.
Part of the problem is that they ignore the current aspects among the planets, or just give them a brush and a promise. But they will say, "Oh, the transiting Chiron is conjunct the Dark Moon Lilith and both are forming a sesqui-quintile to my Saturn!" Whatever that is supposed to mean. They are stuck on looking at sometimes fictional aspects of sometimes fictional planets to their precious little natal chart and don't ever see the huge picture staring at them.
I have not heard a single astrologer (and I visit astrological groups in Seattle and correspond with other groups on the Internet) mention the obvious fact that Jupiter has been opposite Uranus by less than two degrees (that is important) for two months---it began December 12. It will be exact on March 1-2. Then it will continue until March 17 when it begins to fade, although it comes back in September-October.
Jupiter is in Libra, the sign of the courts and laws (just look at the symbol for the sign). Uranus is in Aries, the sign of male dominance (the ram, look at the symbol, the horns). Uranus is independence and freedom. We have authority-endowed males (Trump and Steve Bannon) saying "Look, we are your leaders and we see a danger from the wrong sorts of immigrants into our country. We are going to protect you." Aries is a military sign, sometimes, or the sign of the "male defender or protector." Then we have Jupiter (the planet of lawyers and judges) in Libra (the sign of law, layers, and courts) opposing this. Do I have to go further? The significance is as clear as the nose on the faces of the astrologers who never look at the sky. Trump and Bannon (Aries) are defending, according to their own lights, their country from the courts who don't understand them (Jupiter is retrograde, signifying sometimes backtracking or confusion). The courts, meanwhile, are saying "Not so fast, we don't agree that you are really protecting your country in a way required or supported by the laws." That is the function of Libra, the deliberative sign. Aries, administration, opposite Libra, courts.
I guess I am the only astrologer in the world who has noticed this? Wonderful!
As for predictions, that is another matter. The fact that this aspect is exact on March 1-2 might suggest that things will come to a head then. Or not, since such predictions are hard to make and there is a wide time-orb with aspects sometimes. Anyway it's obvious that we are in the thick of it. Will this particular case go to the Supreme Court? I do not know. Back to a circuit court? I don't know. Will the Administration lose this case, and then try another approach to immigration reform? Perhaps, and perhaps that will be getting a court test in the next month and a half. Or will the real resolution of the issues come in September-October when the aspect repeats? Perhaps. I am not the sort of astrologer to go out on a limb making predictions. I am an observer and reporter.
Further, if astrologers would even look at where the planets are they would see that Saturn is in Sagittarius, not only the sign of international travel and international contacts and agreements but also, according to ancient and medieval astrologers, the sign generally signifying the Arab nations. Further, it is sextile Jupiter and trine Uranus, the planets of the opposition just discussed. International law is being tested and refined (also with China it appears). Arab nations are hurting (Saturn) because of the travel ban (or pretending to hurt, as some would say) and are the complainants, as it were. The fact that Saturn forms good aspects to the opposed planets suggests that this is all a necessary (that doesn't mean pleasant) outworking of something in the group destiny of the human race.
Further, we have, right now, the sun forming a trine to Jupiter and sextile to Uranus and sextile to Saturn. This whole configuration is brimming over with exact aspects at the very moment that the whole world (it seems) is focused on the question of the President's immigration and travel ban and the courts' consideration of it. It has become almost a dominating obsession. That is probably because, as the planetary positions suggest, it represents something fomenting in the mass consciousness that has to be resolved. (I am keeping my own opinions out of this.)
The sun is in Aquarius, considered to be the sign of "humanity" or "the new age" or "global cooperation" and "harmony among races and nations" etc. So we have an ongoing situation where that ideal is confronting legalism (Libra), authoritarianism (the President), and international and religious complications (Saturn in Sagittarius the sign of religion as well as internationalism).
It's right there, written in the sky. That does not mean that the outward, human, precise result of all this (Trump wins? Courts win? Both win? Muslims win? Anti-Muslims win? Both win?) can be determined by astrology. That is almost never the case. Astrology instead shows the pattern and something of its significance. It is fascinating to those who have any curiosity about what is really going on. And, yes, it can have predictive value, but more importantly, value in helping us "chill out" and comprehend such conflicts from a deeper and more universal and comprehensive perspective.
Saturday: There are warnings of "secret enemies," but I do not want to encourage paranoia (we have plenty of that anyway). If you refuse to be utterly isolated in your feelings and reactions, and read patiently "the handwriting on the wall," you may attain a level of serenity. You will see that everything works out well for those who have learned how to regulate angers and passions through experience. (Still, it may be well to choose one's associates carefully.)
Things keep moving, mentally and physically. You have a consciousness of opportunity, honor, and self-respect. Someone soft, amiable and charitable is good for you on every level. You keep choosing where you want to put your focus, and that requires a consciously selected mind-set. People feel strong attractions based on almost a merging of identities.
Security at home is reassuring. Something like clean-up or laundry might help. Then any failures you have experienced look temporary. Some things in you have not been received favorably by the world, but though that harshness has bent you it has not broken you, and you rise up to perfect posture so you can continue to give forth what is in your nature to give. It is distinctive. The details of it seem whimsical sometimes, yet it gives and gets a blessing.
It is good to acknowledge merit in people, rather than get hooked on their flaws. Supervising the work of others is sometimes necessary but one needs to be patient in guiding them and also let them have their way when possible. What makes you feel assured, and valued in the role you play? That is what you really want to be doing and the rest is icing on the cake or side-paths leading back to the main path.

Moon in Virgo ***
|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week begins at 0:50a PT | 3:50a ET | 8:50a UT (continuing through Monday until Tuesday evening) ** |
Charitable or kindly deeds are good, especially when there is no pride or conceit in them.
A labyrinth of your own or someone else's construction is fascinating and may help you find your way if you are cautious, avoiding dangers from those who don't understand. Then you may feel free and insouciant, rising above bondage to unreal limitations, even the labyrinthine things you have studied, though they be still helpful. Some of your path you keep hidden.
