° Commemoration, Nobility, Prosperity, Mastery ° 0 The number of grisly killings and tragedies in the past few days has been overwhelming. In astrological transits we have not far to look for correlations: Hard aspects to Saturn from the sun, Mars and now Venus. Saturn has earned his reputation as a sadist, I'm sorry to say, though to deeper vision he is just enforcing necessary laws of karma. 0.0 However, on the positive side, after the Dark Hermetic Epoch which began October 20th we enter today, at 2:22a PT, a fresh Bright Hermetic Epoch until February 11th. Less craziness or seeming dementia, fewer troubling out-of-pattern confusing events and danger-fraught decisions. Praise the Lord. 1 Commemoration. We still live in the shadow of the just-mentioned tragedies, symbolized by "three stained-glass windows, one damaged by bombardment." All leave a record in history and should be careful that it is not destructive but constructive. 2 Nobility. A flag-bearer emphasizes the natural supremacy of common ideals over wholly selfish ambitions. There is spiritual exaltation through dramatic service to all. 3 Prosperity. "The good things of life " can be both noble and materially pleasurable. A lady sitting on a divan fanning herself is basking in good fortune. 4 Mastery. In fact, a balance of the mental and spiritual with the physical is suggested by two triangles interlaced with a third superposed, the magnificent symbol of David in the West and Vishnu in the East.
