• Doubt, Soldiering, Intellect, Conservation • 1 Doubt. A man is hesitating to trust himself on a wooden bridge over a chasm. A fearful disposition is suspicious even of best friends. 2 Soldiering. A man in full armor, helmet on head and spear in hand, is of good proportions and fond of military pursuits. 3 Intellect. Resolving the first two paragraphs could be done through study of literature and history. A quantity of books and papers in disorder grace the desk of a prolific writer who gains distinction. 4 Conservation. The questionable bridge of paragraph 1 might actually be an old bridge over a beautiful stream, an emblem of the dependability of man-made structures at their best, and of nature's joy in making them part of herself. • Thursday • Doubt, Soldiering, Intellect, Conservation • Cosmic Piper Moon in Virgo Karmically sobering third of this week is at its most intense, through the evening.
