Message for Weekend of May 18-19, 2024

}Adventure of Leaning{

As recorded here in yesterday's report, Friday is again part of the |difficult third| of this week, as was Thursday. There was harsh weather in many places Thursday and even tornadoes near Houston, and as I write on Friday Houston schools are closed and the mayor has recommended that people stay at home.

I hope you are watching these periods every week. If it's not hard weather it can be melancholy or depressing moods or a sense that one is under pressure. It continues this week till Saturday afternoon (time below).

As for the new Bright orelatively normal Hermetic Epoch of two months which began Monday, I sense that better things are working out, though slowly. In my own life two difficulties have been resolved, one better than I expected. It may take more time. The Trump trial may end next week, and progress has been made in setting up candidate debates, though as yet without the crucial participation of Kennedy. There are signs that the Ukraine war may finally be seen as unwinnable except through negotiation, which is the only "win" at all possible.

This new Epoch lasts until July 16. Last week I posted a sonnet for it, and here is another, based not on the Charubel symbols but the Borelli-Sepharial set:

\

He seems something like a pillar of black marble

On a rock, misanthropic because of a bad match,

Solitary. A young man, disheveled and disappointed,

He sits on a barren rock by the sea, weeping and

\

Melancholy. When he rouses himself he wanders in

Tortuous and chaotic paths reminiscent of a tangled

Helical scroll. In the woods he comes upon a casket of

Jewels and a purple-gold vesture. He fights a duel

To acquire them. Then, with newly benevolent countenance,

\

He gets a cottage, fruited orchards and grazing sheep.

He takes care of them and chops wood, a friend

Of nature and loved by her. In the evenings he retires

To the cottage where a burning lamp illumines an

\

Open book on a table. Patiently cultivating

His mind, he stores it with ancient learning.
