I'm writing on Friday just while the moon is conjoined to Saturn, marking the peak of the |difficult third| of this week. I have needed extra rest and prayer. How was your Friday afternoon-evening? 

Yesterday we discussed the disturbing "evil comet's tail" symbol which seems to dominate the current Epoch, March 18 - May 12. And now here is Mars's degree for that Epoch: "Two swords crossing each other." This denotes "litigations and quarrels. One of a repellent disposition."  Need I comment? Palestine vs. Israel; Trump vs. Biden; campus contingent vs. campus contingent; on and on. 

But Mars's degree for the coming Epoch, May 12 - July 16, is "A boat on a large lake or big river; two men are rowing in it." "A person fond of company and of changes; a speculative bent of mind and fond of adventure." That is something to look forward to. Instead of crossed swords, co-operative paddlers rowing in a boat.

Saturn's degree in the current Epoch: "A hand with a sword in it. Just rising in the ascendant, a halo of golden light envelopes it. That sword is not for indiscriminate slaughter. It is to defend the right." Of course both sides in the Ukraine-Russia war claim to be "defending the right," as do both sides in the Israel-Palestine conflict, and both sides put out prolific war propaganda. The symbol does not tell us who is right but suggests that one side must be right and one wrong in both conflicts. 

Saturn's degree in the coming Epoch: "An angel blowing a trumpet." "One whose office will be to publish to the world some important message having a bearing on the social or spiritual condition of mankind. A preacher, lecturer, or popular person." Heaven knows we need angelic mediators to diminish or end the horrendous conflicts the "comet" of the current Epoch (some evil in ourselves) has brought upon us.

Let's conclude this report with the symbol of Venus in the current Epoch (and look at further symbols in next week's messages): "A straight road, going in a direct line up to a point from which diverge a number of branch roads parting in four different directions. A finger-post points but one way -- the primal way, the direct one." You can ponder this to get clues as to choices in your life. It is meaningful to me in various ways.
