~Useful Doubt~
Although this is the first day of a Bright Hermetic Epoch (for two months), other indications yield the following quatrain:
Doubt and change, uncertainty, could be the enemy.
Vacillation is either destructive or protective.
Defective secret notions bring all plans to nought.
When estranged, self-reliance can protect oneself.
Here is something I will quote in full from Signor Borelli's symbolic description of the degree in which the moon's South Node (Dragon's Tail or Ketu) lies now: "A man playing with coloured balls, an immodest woman standing behind him." (The rest is an interpretation by Sepharial, Walter Gorn Old): "This indicates one of a playful but careless nature, given over to pleasures and unprofitable pursuits. One who will be crossed in life by the opposite sex, and meet with troubles thereby. One with very little force of character or worthy ambition. It is a degree of Foolishness." Remind you of anyone you know? Yet I see secret value in all this. Even Jesus said that the childlike one enters the Kingdom . . . but maybe not the totally childish one. Let's judge only ourselves, however! If the shoe fits, wear it and then kick it off!
Yet the position of Jupiter is much more uplifting; that planet just entered Leo today, for a year or so. In this first degree it signifies one who disappears from history, apparently, only to reappear later as someone of merit who labored unknown within the toils of the (often foolish) humanity around him. That could be any of us if we deserve it.

^Craftiness^
There is fun in a carriage or convertible,
Chatting and laughing and flirting. It passes
Through a labyrinth. Who wants peace, who
Disputation? Most are crafty and seductive.
Song of the day: Betcha Gon' Know by Mariah Carey with R. Kelly
This is a masterpiece of irony, humor, and tragically failing love. When we don't know whether to laugh or cry we may be in the presence of greatness.
(You might re-read the last two paragraphs of yesterday's report, for those two astrological indicators remain in the same positions today.)
{Thursday} ^Craftiness^
