If some are doing their taxes late, this is not actually a bad time to do them--the moon in Scorpio trine both Venus and Jupiter is good for money matters of all kinds and doing taxes or other financial transactions might be even fun. The best time of course would be after the moon enters Scorpio and before the |difficult third|, about 8.5 hours.

The red marks all over my daily chart are the most intense squares, and there are six of them, plus four oppositions. It's a Grand Square in cardinal signs--"keep busy" is what it is telling us. We have more than we can handle, seemingly, but because we are in the center of a Bright Hermetic Epoch we are able to handle all of it efficiently. So when you just get to it you feel better about yourself and everyone and everything.

Unshakeable poise is a wonderful thing, and you can have it if you are doing your best to apply the lessons of your past in your present. That includes knowledge you have gained through study as well as observation and experience. Whatever your job or career, you feel very strong in it.

People are reaping the reward of their labor in smooth ways. Then there are others who seem aimless and even wanton, caring nothing about who or what they "take down" as they pursue their self-centered ill-considered path (Mars opposite Uranus and Mercury). They are sure to learn better sometime.

The physical, manual side of your work is interesting and you enjoy doing it because it has immediate results. You are enterprising and able to keep your ambitions alive until they succeed. It could be a lucky day. (If it doesn't seem so, count your blessings and keep trying, to give old but reliable advice.)

You can be emphatic, free and open in the way you express yourself while aiming at liberty on every level. Faith and hope are building new schemes for the advancement of humanity, and you are a part of them if you so choose.

Your attainments are being fostered by someone, probably more than one, who is above you in some sense, able to inspire and reward, someone you would gladly kneel to as your sovereign. You have known of or known this person or these persons in years past and they are as significant now as then. So you know why you are doing what you are doing--to please someone who means a lot to you. What better motive? With Venus plus Neptune in Pisces, spiritual love conquers all, and with the cardinal squares, love is expressed in action. Voila!

~Pulling Back from the Brink with Competence~

Things are likely more disturbing than yesterday. The moon conjoining Saturn in Scorpio wants us to think of ends, death, loss, grief, or worries. We can think rather of how to persist, how to winnow things so that we drop the useless and hold on to the best, how to be sober, strong and hopeful knowing that endings are disguised beginnings.

When some supports seem to have vanished, we can take a deep breath, say a prayer, and recover poise. There is a breath of change in the air but it can give us respite from some concerns while we focus on others at a deeper level. Currently people of good position and character could be your supporters if you link with them, invisibly or visibly or both.

One does not have to live a life of conflict in order to win the so-called 'battles' of life, only to be alert and stay with one's wisest course, as we can do smoothly during a Bright Hermetic Epoch (until May 23). Opposition is normal, but in opposition now there is secret love. Perhaps that seems poisoned love, or hypnotic, or sinuously calculating, but whatever its nature it remains love. It could be rescued from whatever seems negative in it.

People like to display their powers or talents. One can appreciate this in friends even if also competing with them at some level. There is fulfillment in "resting in" whatever is happening around you in the social scene, apprizing it at a higher level even when it seems perverse. There is something autumnal about the day even though it is spring.

You guard someone, and would do that with your life. Love is protective and cherishing. When you see her or him subject to unfairness you pull out your sword of Justice. Be careful not to make things worse even though your intentions be noble. You can cherish, guard and protect without being severe.

You may become aware of someone who has lost his foothold or appears to have become decadent, dropping stalwart traditions which would have saved him. One can hope and pray for recovery. One learns something about oneself when one observes someone else slipping away from what is best. If there are emergencies, one can learn to be competent.
