° Material Doubt, Spiritual Ardor ° 1 "A very tiny New Moon in the western sky" suggests prematurity in all things. With Mercury Retrograde, subtle hoping and planning can be okay, but implementing new things could waste time and stir up pointless worries until after Mercury's station August 11th, or the new Bright Hermetic Epoch beginning August 25th. 2 "A gloomy sky is filled with scudding clouds while a flight of blackbirds struggle against the wind." Thoughts and schemes are mantled by doubts and misgivings. There are dreams but lack of confidence to fulfill them: Doubt and Change. 3 Yet amid the clouds appears a triangle of flame, and an eye within the triangle. We have spiritual faculties. Many will be aspiring, noble, hopeful and intuitive; not logical but sincere and ardent. 4 "A boy with a censer" is, within the universal scheme of things, making a conscious appeal to God. His motive is spiritual because he knows he must share any reality he would possess.
