It's not only Donald Trump who's having a hard time.

I believe that this week may be the hardest of the Spring-Summer for most of us; next week slightly better; and then June 15--July 16 the best (smoothest) month of the summer. 

But are not Biden and the Democrats happy? I wouldn't be so sure. Everyone, in one way or another, feels the squares of the sun and Venus with Saturn, which are at their peak this week. They are two of the most emotionally depressing aspects of all. "What am I doing here? Does anything make sense? Does anybody care about me? Do I love anyone?" And so on. It's "the crunch" when it comes to karma and mission. "Do I know my mission? Then I can continue to carry on with it no matter how slow and disturbing, and feel better with every small victory on the way." That is the way to think.

And this week seven planets, including the two "malefics" and the two "benefics," are at critical degrees, which mean stakes are high. You, and I, can do it. "It" is whatever your own soul, or your best judgment, or your link with G*d, point out.

The Trump verdict just came down.

I had said that I thought that Jupiter having just entered Gemini, Trump's sun-sign, and staying there for the next year, could be good for him. Was I wrong? Not necessarily, for I also said that I would make no prediction. And there is much more to the astrological story.

Interestingly, the sun in Gemini is beginning its square with Saturn in Pisces, which is the 10th or career house for Gemini individuals. Obviously this is a crisis-time for Trump. Also, Mars in its own sign Aries is in the 10th and 11th sectors for Gemini individuals, suggesting a career battle. Also, Venus and Jupiter (benefic planets) are in a favorable trine with Pluto, a money planet in two money fields for Gemini, and his campaign already, in the hours since the verdict, has been flooded with donations. 

As for Scorpio, Biden's sun-sign, there are no major indicators in his house of honor or career, so that it seems he is not particularly benefiting from Trump's troubles at this point.

I agree with Alan Dershowitz that this conviction is more of a blow to our justice system and our electoral process than it is to Trump. It was a mistrial and shall be so perceived by many voters. And its "success" opens the door to more lawfare, much of it also directed by Republicans against Democrats.

Not good. We shall see whether my prediction that June 15 through July 16 shall be a better or smoother time for all of us. Maybe a period for a vacation, or more fun-times in and around work-times.

Meanwhile, nobody can say that things are not "interesting."

The judge for the Trump trial is scheduled to give his final instructions to the jury this morning just when the moon goes void-of-course for the ensuing 8 hours. A hung jury? Or just endless deliberation? Jupiter went into Gemini, Trump's sun-sign, just a few days ago, to remain there until June 2025. This could be a good omen for him. But I make no predictions. (Totally apart from astrology, my candidate is Kennedy.)

I'm writing on Sunday and would like to take this day off as my holiday, then write a fuller report on Monday for Tuesday.

A few things: The moon at the end of Capricorn and beginning of Aquarius is in a happy trine with Jupiter, Venus and the sun. Nice. This should be the sweetest day of the holiday three, with moods brighter and more carefree.

Still, the sun beginning a square with Saturn (by large orb) suggests a serious undercurrent, something I have observed consistently with this aspect for decades. That shall continue until about June 15, which is one reason I predicted June 15 through July 16 as possibly the happiest month of the summer. 

Meanwhile it is not onerous to alternate important "duty" activities with free-wheeling pleasures on a day like this. Let's not forget the veterans we are honoring on this Memorial Day, as well as any others "on the other side" whose memories call to us.

There's a lot to look at in astrology. In these reports "for the whole world" I have been feeling my way, and some approaches get clearer with the months and years.

One way of looking at longer-term trends is the two-month Hermetic Epochs. I have presented a lot on that topic in recent weeks, including sonnets for the recent and current Epochs. But I have not given up on weekly reports either. There are various ways to cut the pie of time. Here is a sonnet covering symbols for the week of Saturday May 25 through Friday May 30:

I recommend that you read the Thursday forecast again. Or, better, I can repost it here with some editing and additions:

I try to separate my personal life from these reports as much as possible; yet a basic premise of the project is that "all human lives on Planet Earth share major features which are delineated to a large degree by the motions and interrelations of the planets." Therefore I have to assume, and in fact I see, that my personal activities, hopes, and mood-shifts do reflect the mood-shifts and activities and hopes of other people I know and of famous people I read about in the news. I try to use a kind of Descartes-like "method of doubt" in arriving at conclusions or at hypotheses, and communicate them to you for your consideration. That is all, but at best it can be a lot.

I have been saying that the Hermetic (Mercurial) Epoch of May 13--July 16 is smoother and more conducive to straightforward planning and activity. You might justly think that I am wrong in that, considering what you've experienced over the past ten days. I hope you'll give the Epoch a longer time to establish itself. It seems that a lot of stuff is getting cleared away while fresh stuff, though germinal, is delayed.

Part of that has corresponded to an unusual number of "lunar problems" in that body's daily motions around our planet. I mentioned that most of Sunday and Monday the moon was void-of-course for almost a whole day (rare), and then during that time-frame entered the Via Combusta where it remained until early Wednesday. Now it is out of that segment but still in Scorpio (as I write on Wednesday) which is just about as bad. There was the long and futile search for a missing helicopter, the death of Iran's president, the confusion of conflicting and tedious claims in the Trump trial in New York, accusations of the International Criminal Court against Israel and Hamas (karma), and much minor ordeal in my own life and probably in yours. (I would be good to hear from you.)

On Thursday, and continuing Friday, we have another of the "ugly" lunar indications, the |Karmically difficult third| of this week, which is the 15-degree-orb square between the moon and Saturn. It does not have to be utterly gloomy or depressing but tends in that direction if we do not keep up with our individual self-help or inspirational regimens, which can be affirmations or prayers or gym-work or yoga or, you name it. 

More than that, it can be a soul-challenge. What is my mission, my destiny, my contribution to God and the world? What does it all mean? It's possible to have some happiness in social life this weekend if one realizes that others also are feeling the soul-pressure of such questions and that could explain their touchiness or distancing. 

For Thursday, Friday, and part of Saturday we have the moon in Sagittarius squire Saturn (and Neptune) in Pisces. Serious feelings about religion. So far on Thursday I have been drawn into arguments or debates or disagreements between Catholics and Protestants as well as Muslims versus Jews, and so on. Thursday evening there is to be a White House diplomatic dinner honoring the president of Kenya and his wife. This combines the internationalism of Sagittarius with its religiosity, for Kenya is 85 per cent Christian. I have also had extensive communications with working members of a spiritual group.

}Summer and Autumn Prospects{

Apart from these weekly fluctuations, for the long term, when will things get smoother? I am going to say, as best as I can see, June 15 through July 16. That may be the best month of the summer, so I could recommend it as a vacation time if that is appropriate for your schedule, or as a time for mini-vacations or parties and excursions. It could also be excellent for business or work and projects if you feel enthusiastic about them. 

Then the July 17 to September 11 Epoch is a Slow or Dark one and has difficult planetary aspects, but let's not worry about it yet. Then the September 12 - November 6 Bright Epoch again looks good, so could be appropriate for a fall vacation. No Epoch is trouble-free (except for perfect saints or yogis), but this centered-in-October one looks mostly comfortable. 

Meanwhile, don't forget we are in a Bright Epoch even before June 15, so it is possible to make good progress with plans or projects. Then the June 15 - July 16 period could flower in happy culminations.

The moon has been moving very slowly and seems to have been in Scorpio, the sign of its fall, forever. This can mean dissatisfaction with home conditions. It can mean unpleasant or even destructive weather. One faces karmic consequences of mistakes or sins. Today it opposes Uranus and Venus, a sense of dissatisfaction with people and with oneself. But a full moon is near and that gives heightened consciousness. 

People have been thinking about money and investment. Maybe some good answers or approaches are in the offing, with the sun trine Pluto. Corporations and "big money" can be friends rather than enemies.

Luna trine Neptune in water signs is good for spiritual awareness and psychic manifestation. One senses, with the help of the Full Moon, that "everything is connected."

As recorded here in yesterday's report, Friday is again part of the |difficult third| of this week, as was Thursday. There was harsh weather in many places Thursday and even tornadoes near Houston, and as I write on Friday Houston schools are closed and the mayor has recommended that people stay at home.

I hope you are watching these periods every week. If it's not hard weather it can be melancholy or depressing moods or a sense that one is under pressure. It continues this week till Saturday afternoon (time below).

As for the new Bright or relatively normal Hermetic Epoch of two months which began Monday, I sense that better things are working out, though slowly. In my own life two difficulties have been resolved, one better than I expected. It may take more time. The Trump trial may end next week, and progress has been made in setting up candidate debates, though as yet without the crucial participation of Kennedy. There are signs that the Ukraine war may finally be seen as unwinnable except through negotiation, which is the only "win" at all possible. 

This new Epoch lasts until July 16. Last week I posted a sonnet for it, and here is another, based not on the Charubel symbols but the Borelli-Sepharial set:
