~Shepherding through a Labyrinth~

The astrological patterns seem to be getting smoother. First, the sun is moving away from Saturn, no longer conjoined to it by a ten-degree orb by mid-week. (If you want to know the exact way I calculate the weekly charts, ask me personally and I'll reply by email or FB message.) I believe the weeks start on Saturday and end on Friday, as can be ascertained through some esoteric teachings of Blavatsky, Steiner, and others, but more importantly though my observation over decades. 

I've pointed out some of the pitfalls of the sun-Saturn conjunction, including the earthquake which happened on its first day (2/6), the burn-off of toxic chemicals in Ohio which also happened on 2/6, and more. I felt it personally as many challenges hitting at once, and maybe you did too. Some of them may continue until March 3 when Saturn shall no longer be the Sole Dispositor of six other planets, or March 7 when Saturn itself moves out of its own sign for the first time since January 2018. (It is strongest in both Capricorn and Aquarius, which was the Pandemic Era, and bad responses to it, this time around.)

Another promising factor is Venus moving toward a sextile with Mars (by a ten-degree orb this lasts from February 27 through March 24). Love is in the stars. This can be inter-sex, same-sex, Platonic, or just friendship or friendliness among strangers. 

I wanted to leave the symbols for the degrees out of this weekly report but when I look at last week's chart and what actually happened I find, as I have found before, that Charubel's symbols work very accurately with these weekly charts. 

"The ascendant enveloped in gloom and blackness" is the hardest one. We confront thoughts of death, and develop our particular formulas for immortality whether conceived of as spiritual only or both spiritual and physical. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. 

"A labyrinth" could be the contribution of the Mercury-Saturn conjunction, but Einstein had that aspect in his birth-chart so a labyrinth could lead to supreme discovery. Or it could be eccentric conduct which does not prosper in the world as it is. 

And so there could be "a very large field of corn; a great number of reapers but very few sheaves," that is, high aspirations and good motives yet inadequate results. Still, there is something, and "it is what it is."

As for abstractions, they too seem inadequate because you or else someone connected with you, or a teacher or guide, is "incapable of thinking on abstract truths." I am reading a book which makes me think its author is like that, yet he writes vividly and well in conveying experiences. 

Remedies? "A person holding up a scale in his hand, with even beam. A just person whose mind will spontaneously detect a falsehood or injustice or any wrong." This can settle things and ameliorate the previous paragraphs. 

There is still some hope for financial or other gain: "A man reclining on a rustic seat beneath a shady tree; a ray of sunshine has fallen on him." "A degree of good fortune. One will not have trouble; wealth flows to one, but one lives for himself and seldom benefits others."

"A neat little thatched cottage in an Alpine valley." "A child of nature who will never conform to the ways of Society." I am reading a book by someone like that. You may know someone similar, or this may apply to yourself or a phase of yourself.

"A shepherd on the mountain top with crook in hand, looking out for the locality of his sheep." Some may think this is Biden or Zelensky; some may think it is Trump visiting Ohio with food and water. "He will be called on to be a leader or commander of a society or perchance a nation; a ruler indeed." We wait. Or find a non-political, providential, divine Shepherd.

"A red tree covered with golden fruit" indicates "a person of a very positive nature who, by dint of personal efforts and work, will produce something that will be a blessing to the race. No ordinary person, he will rise to eminence." 

I hope these symbols make your week more colorful, understandable and happy.

There are predictions of heavy storms in some, but not all, areas of the continent; nevertheless we have, looking toward Spring, 'a wood in which wild undergrowth abounds, and plants of different kinds and colors.' This could be beauties of the country appreciated by those rugged and brusque.

'A naked man having a serpent coiled around the lower part of the body' indicates, says Charubel, 'filthy habits and deeds. One ought to "know oneself" and conquer impurity.'

'Three men advancing arm in arm' are 'given to friendship and the delights of social intercourse.' One might 'foster amicable relations between others.' One has many supporters who esteem one's confidences. They incline naturally to one's instruction or direction.

As reported here several times, the sun's conjunction with Saturn by ten degrees began February 6 and ends February 26. It has been an upsetting time (though with also some encouraging developments, as is always the case). First, on the 6th was the most horrific earthquake in a long time. Second, on the 6th was the burn-off of toxic chemicals from a derailed train in Ohio. Third, on the 6th James O'Keefe of Project Veritas was stripped of his position. All three of these events have long-term fateful consequences which are continuing to unfold.

On the good side, a Bright Hermetic Epoch of two months began on the 7th, so that despite the painful matters, people are better able to organize their plans, strategies and schedules. Mercury grants poise even while Saturn inflicts pain. The result can be solid spiritual growth and a more solid, tested foundation for business or any project.

Tuesday: "The head of health dissolved into the head of mentality" could be a clinging to something from the past no longer efficacious, or instead it could be "a developing orientation of selfhood within an over-all vision." ~My thinking is not confusing but orientating.

"A naked man having a serpent coiled around the lower part of the body" signifies "filthy habits and deeds" according to Charubel, probably auto-erotic in nature. One should "know oneself" and seek to conquer questionable or evil tendencies. ~Nothing can get the better of my will to purity.

"A man standing armed, richly dressed in purple and scarlet, with helmet of fine brass or gold--prepared for battle and confident of victory." One could be proud and self-reliant. (The sad thing is that both Putin and Zelensky think they are this man, and endless war is not to anyone's advantage.) One could be fond of display, independent, willing to assert opinions and evidence powers with or without friends. ~I display strengths to activate them further.

"A very peculiar psychological power" has been developed by "a man holding the end of a rope in his hand, the other end out of sight in the heavens." He is "in a condition to procure esoteric truth at will consciously." ~I attract secret truths at will.

If he follows his chart with care and trusts in Heaven for a favoring wind he my be carried safely into port." Focusing on what is at hand, I am rescued from drifting.

Popularity could be as ephemeral as "fireworks exploding in mid-air above a crowd." The Old Moon in her final days is conducive to expecting less so that one will be pleased, whatever happens. People like me sometimes, G*d always.

"A woman suffragist haranguing" does not stop if her popularity diminishes when people don't take to her message. Her indignation rises beyond their approval. She "substantiates right with reasoned conviction, expanding every potential of being and taking part in world-wide reconstruction." I know when and how to speak out for justice and freedom.

Yet the moon is diminishing and we may choose to emulate "a man reclining on a rustic seat beneath a shady tee; a ray of sunshine has fallen on him." Perhaps he lives mostly for himself, benefiting others seldom, yet he has no trouble and wealth flows to him. I am happy that others prosper as I do myself.

We are in the final day of an Old Moon (the New comes Monday) and in the |difficult third of this week|, exact at the void-of-course time above, and Luna is void-of-course for all but a few hours. We have to rely on our inner reserves and the Supreme Lord for strength and hope.

"A straight column with square capital and base" indicates Egoity and self-assertion, with however an elevated, aspiring and precise mind. There is not much flexibility or deference. Rigid and unbending, yet one's character is capable of distinction. I know who I am and assert my reality.

And so one has something in common with the "woman suffragist haranguing" when one is sure that one is right about one's position. I know when and how to speak out for justice and freedom.

"A hand holding a roll of paper or parchment" suggests copying something or getting copies of documents publicly available or to be made public. This should not be controversial but as commonplace as possible. It could be "real paper" or posting something on the internet. All needed information makes my circumstances easy to handle.

"A beautifully furnished room, with a large candle on a round table in the center" indicates "a lover of his home with conventional proclivities, a 'house-proud' individual." One may need to rest during Luna's waning phase, amid whatever luxuries one possesses. Beauty enfolds me while I regain poise.

Moaning about the sun-Saturn conjunction may not make it better, but it helps to know that this past week and the next are times of special challenge when "getting your act together" is important even in the face of what seem insuperable obstacles.

So one may feel like "a serpent standing erect within a circle of fire." Actually this is a strong symbol, showing "a mind with more than usual powers and a soul disposed to searching out the deeper secrets of nature." "From him, as through a lens, the rays of a higher truth will converge and be dispersed for the better instruction of the world and its advantage." "He will take life at the crisis and turn it back from the Gates of Death." Saturn is made the servant of Sol. 

In a musing mood one might ponder "a ruin, the remains of an ancient massive wall with an archway therein." One "finds more pleasure in the retrospective than the prospective." 

But "a woman suffragist haranguing" has the opposite viewpoint, indignation that the world is so tardy in progression toward equal privileges for all.

"Two crossed swords surrounded by a wreath of laurels" represent remarkable powers of attack and defense, perhaps verbally as in law or politics. There is pointed, direct speech and a penetrating mind. The suffragist has found her strategy.  She does not pause even if not gaining worldly wealth but continues to execute her (or his) mission, knowing laurels shall come.

What is going on? people ask. Multiple shooting-down of UFOs (not alien spacecraft, most likely, but still mysterious, with a dearth of information from government) and multiple train derailments in various states, some with toxic chemical spills. Even a semi-riot in Philadelphia after the Super Bowl. Astrologically, the answer may be the sun's conjunction with Saturn, exact today (covering February 6-26 by a 10-degree orb, and on the 6th was the horrific earthquake). 

It's an appropriate time for "a man in armor, fully equipped and bearing a shield." "He will walk through life warily but with that assurance resulting from being forearmed against danger." "He will surmount the machinations of his enemies and break down all opposition, with the goodwill of friends and the faith of associates." 

"An astrological chart in square form" suggests the beneficent influence of true astrology, which is "just and kind" toward those whose charts it attempts to interpret. It can anoint all with the star-derived oil of mutual understanding and appreciation. 

"Two Dutch children" are still "talking," creatively interested in the broad range of potentials on which they may draw. Unconditioned and childlike, together they gain a more effective grasp of life on an everyday level. Who is your partner in such a normal, familiar endeavor? Or could it be a stranger?

In lighter moments we may gravitate toward "a cup, a pack of playing cards, and dice," that is, "the pursuit of fortune by adventitious means" which could be gambling leading to ruin, but might instead be a healthy game-like attitude toward whatever happens. Losing or winning doesn't matter if the focus is friendly interaction (Luna trine Uranus).

There are issues of authority, that is, one's relation to anyone in a position of authority over oneself, or vice versa, that is, one's professional position. By sunset or so this could dissolve into something more free-form, that is, friendship of one sort or another.

"A Standard-bearer" could be a leader or reformer. We need such individuals to awaken conscience and prompt us to good deeds.

"A crown through which is set an upright sword" is not necessarily military in implication but could be symbolically "a great warrior or king to whom honors will be given without stint." "Victories over enemies" come from being "upright, astute, aspiring and sustained by an unswerving faith." 

"Two Dutch children talking" are normal and maybe simple-minded, rehearsing experiences in a familiar situation which might seem prosaic to some, but it clarifies their lives and issues. 

Luna's sextiles with the Sol-Saturn conjunction are fortifying, giving self-control and a sense of duty which settles matters of importance. There could be amorous affection, small gifts, recognition and praise. "A crown and scepter" belong to someone who is "entitled to more than he possesses, and has powers of which he is unconscious."

Let's not bestialize Valentine's day, but we have "a woman reclining upon a couch, scantily attired." "The ease and luxury of life, and pleasures of the senses, could make chains of flowers more difficult to break than bonds of steel." Sensuality could be an opiate.

"A cherry tree in full blossom" indicates someone precocious, with a promise of genius, which may or may not be realized. Meanwhile there is beauty and grace.

"Two Dutch children talking" "reduce relationships to common elements of background and skills." Provincialism is sometimes charming as a display of innocence. In contrast with those depicted in the first two paragraphs these two put themselves at ease and clarify their lives advantageously.

Another degree has "no symbol" but "is allied to fourth dimensional space." You or someone near you "has something not in common with the rest of his race." The sun just two degrees from Saturn are in Aquarius a sign often hinting at "strange things in the sky" and at least four of those have been shot down over North America in the past ten days. UFOs indeed because military folk still cannot say what they are. Meanwhile Venus with Neptune in Pisces confers mystery and semi-miracle upon us if we are awake to such colorful eventualities.

Career is highlighted. "A warrior in helmet drawing a long bow to which the fletch is duly set" is ourselves aiming at something in the future with a set purpose. We feel we have a gift of prophecy to aid in speculation, which could be true if we avoid weak carelessness.

It is good to be charitable. "A man in rustic garb at an old-fashioned pump is pumping for a crowd with vessels reaching forward." One could dispense good to others either ostentatiously or modestly, or just by doing what it is one's nature to do. "Cry woe, cry woe, the world's lost voices wail, Yet conquers the eternal good at last." --Sri Aurobindo

"The letter T or Tau" indicates "one whose inner nature few understand, not popular in modern times; outwardly a babe but inwardly a giant -- 'of such is the kingdom of heaven'." Someone whose heart and intuition are ahead of his or her intellect, perhaps. We need such folk more than we realize.

"There are illimitable ties between each individual and every one of his fellows" making us "sensitive to the potentialities in which we may have self-fulfillment." We revel in intimations arriving  though "the more organic relationships of personality in pertinent connections."

Is the Covid pandemic over? 

It's a fraught topic. In my favor: about a year ago I looked at the situation and said here that it might end by January 2023. It was already getting "better" in most people's experience. 

Here was, and is, my astrological reasoning:

Some say the pandemic began, officially, on March 11, 2020, but its beginnings in China were detected in December 2019 and it was named Covid 19 by the World Health Organization on February 12, 2020. What astrological indication might correlate with this? (Astrology does not show causation in the ordinary meaning of that word but it shows correlation.) Well, the big-culprit aspect Saturn square Uranus began on January 11, 2020, just before the official designations. These are very slow-moving planets and that square has continued for three years, ending finally on January 24, 2023, a couple weeks ago. (A neighbor who has been very stringent over masking was seen on the street without a mask twice in the past two weeks. Hallelujah!) (I always use a ten-degree orb for major aspects, as did the spectacular astrologers Ptolemy and Marc Edmund Jones.)

Astrologer Reinhold Ebertin says of this aspect: "great psychological tension, inflexibility, provoking behavior, contradiction, dispute, animosity, estrangement, separation, bereavement, illness, hardships, formative interference in destiny (prison); use of force or suffering of violence, nonsubmission, struggle for existence, backlash from past mistakes, disputes, resistance, losses, mental and emotional pain, sorrow, danger of accidents or mishaps." 

Does all that sound familiar? There are many now, experts, who insist that we should not just "memory-hole" all that but investigate the governmental and medical agencies responsible for harmful lockdowns, masking, and enforced vaccination. Such investigation, even legal action, is being done by some very brave people. (It is not really "politics," it is an attempt to save human freedom, but to avoid the appearance of politics I'll leave it at that.)

And that fateful square in the sky is not all. Saturn, the most difficult planet or "greater malefic," rules the signs Capricorn and Aquarius and has been strong in those consecutive signs since January 2018. Further, by ruling other planets in those two signs, and then the planets ruled by those planets in turn, Saturn has often been the "sole dispositor" of the seven anciently-known planets. It was playing that role when the virus became known in China in December 2019, and in February and March 2020 when WHO named and declared the pandemic. (Except for Venus having gone into her own sign a few days before 3/11/20, to be exact.)

This was a "double whammy!" Not only one of the worst, or rather hardest, of all aspects, Saturn square Uranus, but the dominance, by rulership and disposition, of most of the planets by Saturn. 

Then look ahead two years to the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, 2022. The Saturn-Uranus square is still there, while Saturn as top dispositor rules Mars, Venus and Mercury in Capricorn. Let's hope that the amelioration of these celestial configurations (pointed out in the next paragraph) will facilitate peace negotiations we so desperately need to prevent World War III. 

Saturn has again been Sole Dispositor since December 20, 2022, and continues thus until March 3 when, finally, Mercury moving into Pisces shall release the planets it rules from Saturn's dominion and then, even more conclusively, until March 7 when Saturn itself moves into Pisces, losing much of its power, ruling no planets. 

So my good news is that we have something to look forward to in early March! Probably people will not be dancing in the streets, though the sun, Mercury and Saturn shall be in Pisces the sign of the feet and dancing, but things should be less fraught with tension and worry.

Further, beginning March 20, day of the Vernal or Spring Equinox, we begin a new astrological year which looks a lot less difficult than the previous challenging one we are winding up. More about that next weekend.

I learned the hard way to pay close attention to the hard aspects between the sun and Saturn (conjunction, opposition, square) when I took a vacation during one of those times and too many things went wrong. By ten degrees, this conjunction lasts February 6-27. On the 6th was the worst earthquake in a long time. Now we have frigid temperatures in the Northeast of the U. S. and of course other places throughout the planet. At the personal level I'm sure you are commiserating with some who are feeling sad or defeated. 

A symbol for today, "two daggers crossed," points to "contention or litigation and an element of danger." A 'radical want of harmony" could lead to "wounding." However, there is "keen and penetrating intellect" to help settle things through warfare or lawfare.  

At a more primitive level there could be anger leading to brutal ferocity or violence, symbolized by "a bull stamping upon the body of a small animal." We do not need that. Let's pray for an end to all cruelty no matter what its supposed justification or excuse. 

Mars moving slowly is still at the degree "a great musician at his piano" reminding us that we can share the rewards of our talents through efforts whereby others are encouraged while enjoying an uplifting performance. 

Will we ever again feel that world leaders, or our own President, are "rulers indeed," using superior powers and an advantageous position for the benefit of all? Somewhere there is "a shepherd on a mountain top with crook in hand, looking out for the locality of his sheep." This could be an ideal figure such as Moses or David, or Jesus "the good shepherd," or some lesser human we could anoint through the machinery of democracy.

I stay with the patiently developed formula for the degree-symbols even when they are very hard ones, as they are today. Perhaps the reason is the sun's increasing conjunction with Saturn, always a "down" time when it comes to moods if nothing else. 

"An indescribable scene: chaos, confusion, dissolving views" could be intellectual defect, insanity or idiocy, according to Charubel. More likely it is temporary confusion in the shadow of sun-Saturn restrictions and difficulties.

"A man lying wounded or sick upon the ground" could be literal in Turkey and Syria as earthquake victims are found. Let us pray. But Sepharial says this could represent "voidness of virility and ambition so that one fails to assert oneself in the fight for life." One "lies nerveless and powerless" through "moral apathy, mental ineptitude or physical weakness"--an object of pity, or a burden to kindred. We may need to rouse ourselves from "moral paralysis." 

An opposite pitfall could be the unwise pursuit of "an enterprise that is strange and foreign to one's nature and capacity. Adventuresome and headstrong, one pursues one's course regardless of consequences" so that one resembles "a horse and its rider falling at a fence." Outdoor sports could be dangers, or transgressions of the law. "Bridling one's desires" can prevent catastrophe.

Staying with one's chosen skills could be the answer to these issues. "A great musician at his piano" encourages all of us to continue developing talent, skill and artistry in our chosen field. "Creative assurance contributes enduring overtones to human understanding."

"Two men running a race" was prevalent during the Midterm elections in November, and returns today to hint that on the day after Joe Biden's State of the Union address people's thoughts will be returning to what may happen in the "race" of 2024. 

Who is the "tiger standing guard over its young litter"? Some may think it is Biden, others Trump or some other political figure.  Or it could be someone in the field of religion or philanthropy. There is "strong attachment, devotion, watchfulness and caution." Who compose the "litter" you are guarding?

"A man playing a violin" is "a musician of no mean order." Venus exalted in Pisces, conjoining Neptune in its own sign, both sextile Uranus, could bestow music or other exalting influences as gifts of the spirit.

"A great musician at his piano" makes his "individual artistry the property of all." "Here is experience at a climax on the side of self-refinement in skills and talent." "A continually expanded dimension of being becomes the constant revelation of man's true estate." (Dr. Jones)

P. S. The earthquake in Turkey and Syria is a major tragedy. No astrologer knows how to predict earthquakes in a way that would prevent loss of life and property, yet such events are more likely to occur at specific times. This one, early Monday morning, occurred on the final day of a Dark Hermetic Epoch, and I have been pointing out how the division between Epochs seems almost absolute, a quantum leap. Further, it occurred during a |karmic sobering, challenging third| of the week (moon in Leo opposing Saturn in Aquarius). Further, it occurred while the sun was squaring Uranus by less than two degrees in an earth sign, and for decades astrologers have observed that more earthquakes seem to happen when there are heavy aspects to Uranus, especially from the sun, Mars, and Saturn. As for determining which part of the earth might be hit by a quake, that would belong to some astrology of the future, if at all.

A new Bright or Fast Hermetic Epoch began late Monday/early Tuesday at

9:30p(M) PT | 12:30a(Tu) ET | 5:30a(Tu) UT, lasting until April 7 (when a new Dark or Slow Epoch occurs until May 31)

The above information is encouraging. Nevertheless, at this beginning of a better phase we have the degree "too revolting to be given" which, says Charubel, warns against "bad company, stimulants, and gambling hells." Perhaps we get carried away by exuberance. "By seeking to develop thy higher nature thou mayest save thyself." 

Or, more mildly, we may emulate "a Topsy saucily asserting herself." She is trying to maintain a balance between "the compulsions of the social milieu and exercising her fledgling wings." She may get away with offending her supposed superiors while "taking advantage of every new situation in experience." 

At a more restrained, careful level we may emulate "a man with dark hair, projecting eyebrows, and keen dark eyes seated at a desk with account books before him." He is a sharp businessman, an expert accountant. It should be easier to see into the probable course of deals or investments. 

"An arrow in flight is passing through a cloud of smoke." The smoke could be the "bad company, gambling hells" or other diversions, but the archer is "penetrating and ambitious, keen and incisive, endowed with determination and direction of force." Therefore the smoke does not divert his aim. "He feels himself to have a path in life already marked out for him and is swift to follow it." We discern that path more clearly in this new Bright Hermetic Epoch.

"A man on crutches" probably does not indicate temporary disability but we might find it hard and draggy to get moving with routines or projects. I have a strong perception that the Dark and Bright Hermetic Epochs (two months each) are divided almost precisely, like quantum leaps, and the new Bright Epoch does not begin until tomorrow. Maybe this is the last day of the "crutches." 

In similar fashion we have "a man struggling in a lake, his head rising again and again until a lifebuoy is thrown to him and he is finally saved." Things have often seemed like that during the past two months. "At last by some unlooked-for 'godsend' he or she is delivered." 

At hours of strength we may resemble "a man stripped to the waist hewing timber," "endowed with a good will and an earnest soul. However slender his means he will so work as to deserve more. He may live a life of rustic simplicity, or be the builder of a house or city, or founder of a colony." And so we may reduce reliance on those "crutches" and labor with simplicity and naturalness.

We should be prepared for "a Topsy saucily asserting herself," someone "exercising fledgling wings" while "tying the patience of her mistress as far as she dares." Or we ourselves may have to "speak out with an almost spiritual impudence in order to have any character at all." Personality "risks its very being to be what it as yet has still to become." Noteworthy: While the moon was in Cancer, many people on Twitter were discussing new shocking evidence about the damage the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are doing to women's reproductive systems. Everybody should know about this or find out about it. Cancer is the sign of women, generically, ruled by the moon which rules the ovaries and everything else connected with the female side of reproduction. And so this evidence gained wide publicity while the moon was in her own sign.

My predicament in writing the weekly reports is that I want to be positive, but aspects and symbols often are on the warning side, and my task then is to bring out the positive hidden within the negative. This week the square between Venus and Mars, with us also last week, continues, with Luna in the weekly chart in hard aspect to both of them placing Mars at the focus of a T square. Its symbol according to Signor Borelli is "two wolves devouring a carcass in the moonlight." According to Sepharial this indicates "one of a crafty, subtle nature, avaricious, given to treaties and associations of a dangerous character; secretive, revengeful and of a quick temper." This fits one situation I am aware of. A softer symbol from the Sabian set: "A great musician at his piano" symbolizing "individual artistry as the property of all." There is "achievement and the creative assurance which contributes enduring overtones to human understanding." (Dr. Jones)

To touch on the most dangerous situation the human race is facing, the Ukraine-Russia war, we have the symbol prominent on 9/11/2001, "Two men fencing with swords. A man n black stands aside watching them." I leave you to identify the "man in black." In 2001 it may have been Osama bin Laden. Illustrating Venus square Mars, there could be "predisposition to disputes and quarrels, and maybe some fracas in a foreign country or with a foreigner, with liability to hurts from secret enemies; a melancholy fate." We know what this meant in September 2001 but I earnestly hope we will not have anything similar this time. "Somebody," namely the world's leaders, needs to wind down the Eurasian war before it winds us down. 

The Sabian symbol for the same degree is less ominous, "An automobile caravan." "Experience is on the move in a civilized society."

To counteract the harsh indications we have "a Standard-bearer," a leader, public character or reformer. Please stand up. He or she could be "a tiger standing guard over its young litter." This person or someone else could "possess great magnetic powers" and "do much by way of destroying popularized evils--a reformer, healer, philanthropist." We need such people in the field of medical freedom (such as Robert Malone, Naomi Wolf, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.) and of course elsewhere.

Last week the position of Uranus was the Sabian degree "a man muffled up, with a rakish silk hat." I knew someone sporting several such hats and living up to the image; keyword, Sophistication. This week Uranus is at "an old man attempting vainly to reveal the Mysteries," which can be "the uncompromising integrity of higher vision and an unshakeable determination to dramatize it." "The flow of inspiration" helps, "exceptional capacity for meeting the unusual developments on every level of human experience." 

I've been proclaiming that Tuesday the 7th begins a new Bright Hermetic Epoch (through April 6). I hope we will not be disappointed. It should be easier to schedule things, rely on settled routines, and see how plans can evolve with less backtracking and undesired drama.

The Full Moon of Aquarius-Leo arrives around noon on Sunday

Venus square Mars can be blow-ups in relationships or friendships, or it can be a wise and mellow approach which pulls back a relationship from the verge of a fall. We have before us "a new path of realism in experience" leading to the new Bright Hermetic Epoch beginning Tuesday the 7th. Mistakes when corrected make clearer the potentials of reality. 

"Chemical instruments (retort, pestle and mortar, bent tube, crucible) lie on a table of plain surface." One is "capable of resolving things into their principles and perceiving causes rather than only effects, with an analytical and acute mind. The secrets of nature are found through sincere, semi-religious devotion to the Spirit of Nature" as well as though the keyword of the degree, Testing.  

Oneself or someone important to oneself is "a guide and teacher of the public, of more service to others than to himself." One could be captain of "a ferry boat taking people across a wide deep stream."

At best there could be the optimism of the captain of "a ship in full sail upon a sunlit sea." Enterprise and adventure lead to far and wide associations. "A catholic and cosmopolitan spirit" accompanies "a position of affluence and distinction."

We can take the "warning" symbols as attempts to make us realistic and careful as we continue to suffer setbacks and even apparent derailments before the next two-month Bright Hermetic Epoch begins February 7,  Tuesday. "A broken bridge spanning a rapid stream" hints that one should "go warily and with circumspection into the narrow walks of competitive life. There could be a catastrophe or collapse of one's affairs. One may be of service to others, yet also stand in need of help and sustenance. Sam Bankman Fried was born with the two harsh planets, Mars and Saturn, in this degree. "One's future is in the keeping of Heaven." 

"An old man with a pack on his back and a staff in his hand walking down a hill" has pursued a life-pilgrimage which gains "an adventurous fortune or precarious livelihood." He roams afar, with quiet resignation, displaying singular character.

We are marking out "a new path of realism in experience" while Mars is at that degree, slowly gaining speed, until Saturday. We can "determine values on the basis of their demonstrated usefulness."

Is a happy end in view? "A person is ascending a spiral staircase inside a dark enclosure, with sunshine at the top." "One will do much, and be busy, with very small returns; nevertheless, good luck falls to one's lot eventually."
