○ Filial ○ 0 Today Israeli hostages are to be released as well as thousands of Palestinian captives. The four symbols for the day divide into two negative and two positive. Of course they will mean other things for your personal life. 1 "A man with a drawn sword in an aggressive attitude" is what 2,000 Israeli young people faced on 10/7/2023. The keyword is Wounding and those wounds are slow to heal. Today, some may in resentment feel quarrelsome and impetuous. Who could blame them? 2 "A bridge in a broken and dilapidated condition spans over the dry bed of a river." So we have seen images of the devastation in Gaza for two years. Of course that is not suddenly transformed today, though there be hope. 3 "A lamb at a distance from its dam, but looking towards her" is manifesting filial affection such as many in Israel and Palestine will be feeling today as families are reunited. "Filial" comes from the Latin for son, filius, and daughter, filia. "He cannot be happy without someone to love or to cling to" remarks Charubel. 4 Yet there is freedom. "Children are playing around five mounds of sand." The human spirit enjoys "nascent competence for meeting all possible eventualities."
