I'm starting to think I should give the Via Combusta times every month (when the moon is in the last half of Libra and first half of Scorpio) because these are dangerous times. Perhaps not if you stay at home or do ordinary routines, but even then you will run into peculiar situations. I see that on Thursday when the moon was in that position all day, there were 190 (at least) deaths in Syria, most of them heartless murders (which we still dignify by the name of "warfare"). This is the most deaths ever in one day in that Syrian conflict, according to agencies monitoring the situation. More horrible evidence for the accuracy of astrology, although we could hope for nicer evidence. (The U. S. invaded Iraq nine years ago on a day when the moon was in the Via Combusta.) I did not give the exact time in the last report. It ended Friday at 2:29p PT | 5:29p ET | 9:29p UT. Therefore we could hope that the second half of the moon-in-Scorpio period might be somewhat better.
There is a big desire for truth at this time. How can anyone go through life without a philosophy, religion, or other guiding pattern? I don't see how. We all need that. Just wishful thinking is not enough; we need something we can trust with our minds as well as our hearts.
The period has many potentials for artistry, music, poetry, or any kind of entertainment which uplifts you, with an accent on youth.
Accounting and commercial pursuits are also favored. You know or sense how to handle money or consummate safe transactions.
The ridiculous can be relief-granting. The Simpsons, Family Guy, and other cartoonish satire can release complexes of guilt and worry through laughter. I myself have been offended, sometimes deeply, by some of this stuff and yet other parts of it approach the ineffable.
Protests against exploitation continue, though let us hope with more legal-style discussion and less violence than in the previous period. Worldwide communication and information are making it harder for tyrants anywhere to deceive and control.
We all want to escape from dullness, and yet we want safeguards to protect what we have gained. It seems that playing fairly your part in life, carrying out the tasks which seem to have been "assigned" to you or self-assigned, is appropriate and essential, giving you internal as well as external security and peace of mind. Mars is in the last degree of Virgo, where it has been for almost eight months, since November 11. You might look back over that period and try to comprehend something about your work methods, your job, daily or weekly tasks. If you see how they have changed, evolved or improved, you may get useful insight. You could attempt this evaluation also with diet, exercise and other health regimens. (Mars will enter Libra on Tuesday; more about that in the next report.)
An urge to try your luck at gaining what you want is present; one could call it gaming or adventuring, or trying to win a contest. You may find yourself staking more on this than you had expected. Well, someone will win, although whether the winner will be happier than the loser is another question. Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to dampen your spirits! Go for it. (Or you might just read about or watch someone doing this.)
The Part of Fortune in the 5th field (or house) on Saturday makes that evening a natural one for fun, pleasure, entertainment or happy connections. By Sunday it will be in the 6th (with the moon approaching Full), still good but more oriented to accomplishment in some way.
You are hopeful and able to start over even if you feel you have landed on a sand bank for a while. Some kind of assistance or cooperation is essential and this is no cause for shame; it is part of the human condition. The anger people have been feeling in many contexts is still smoldering but there are interesting and entertaining potentials to quench it.

Although I'm not fond of the moon in Scorpio, this time it forms good aspects with the sun, Neptune and Pluto early in the period and with Mars later, while moving away from Saturn in late Libra, so I hope we will be breathing some sighs of relief. The fact that this is the beginning of a weekend also helps fortuitously. Scorpio can be a "looking back" sign for the moon, as is the Dark Hermetic Epoch into which we entered Wednesday, so you might find yourself dreaming of, evaluating, or deriving strength from the past and memories.
As for activity, there could be a lot of it about which you feel good because although repetitive, as if turning a wheel, it is continually interesting in fresh ways. This could include study, talking, writing, and other communication. You can assure yourself that what you do has an effect.
You may see into people, businesses, governmental processes, and anything which deserves investigation, without blinding yourself to any of what you see through sympathy or antipathy. That means your "detective" mode is in full sweep. Insights derived thus could shake a power structure or media empire.
Your business acumen seems to be getting better rather than worse, so keeping track of income and outgo can be enjoyable. You have been cautious about spending and still are, but could allow yourself to have a little fun with "mad money."
A lessening of inhibitions could lead you to indulge inclinations toward wholesome pleasures. (If unwholesome, you could pull back before going over the brink.) There is sometimes a need to dabble with life.

Whatever it is, it will get all kinds of people and institutions moving in accord with the "triggering" function of the T square, the Supreme Court shooting a bullet [afflicted Uranus] into government machinery or else into the pockets of young people forced to buy health insurance.) Fortunately there are good people in powerful positions. This is something we tend to forget when we are legitimately protesting official unfairness. The point is that one can find people in power who will be sympathetic to one's cause, almost always, if one is assiduous in finding them.
Then, with or without their aid, one's own dominance can manifest in the area in which one has become skilled or expert.
There can be contented success, that is, a deserved resting on what one has attained in this life, or what one has been given by Grace (since spiritually there is no room for pride in any of us). A secure location and domicile is a great benefit, let us not forget. Ask any who live in war zones, or refugees.
To end on a happy note: Venus and Mars are beginning a wobbly trine with each other as of this period (by a ten-degree orb). This is always a good time in quite a few ways, not only for lovers. The trine lasts through July until August 7, but is "wobbly" because it never completes or consummates itself. Mars moves toward a slow (stationary as I write) Venus, but she gains speed and runs away from him! The saga of unfulfilled love continues, and the writers of sad or angry love songs will not go out of business.

A lot is changing. The Dark Hermetic Epoch begins Wednesday, extending through July until August 22, almost two months. This is a time partially for withdrawal, for a focus on more internal needs while temporizing, or doing the best you can, with external matters rather than pushing them forward through ambitious plans.
I felt this already on Monday as I write. It was the feeling: "The hell with it!" I felt like getting out some vodka instead of continuing with my exercise program. (I didn't.) I was the Mole in the Wind in the Willows, in the first chapter, saying "Hang Spring cleaning!" and hastening out of his burrow to go off with the beckoning Rat for glorious adventures.
Of course we all have a Dear Prudence within us who will caution us against the worst possibilities of self-indulgence, which in fact could lead to grievous loss. So I have to say "Take care" but would rather say "Have fun."
There are strong potentials of gain through business. You see how to use your particular approach to ride high.
A friend has a playlist entitled "Summer in Fairyland." That is in fact a party you could go to. Neptune's aspects are both hard and soft, evoking a breeze from Fairyland which could bounce you in unusual directions. You ascend toward fraternizing with good, enlivening folk.
At the same time, there are protests against the harshness of life. Some will protest business conditions or exploitation by corporations. Others will try to change or bend governmental regulations. Since this is the difficult third of this week, with the moon close to Saturn while traversing the Via Combusta for exactly the second half of the period (beginning Wednesday at 12:10p PT | 3:10p ET | 7:10p UT), none of these attempts to protest or change things will be easy but that does not mean they might not be worth while, provided one adds moderation and common sense to the formula to make sure one is not a Don Quixote hopelessly attacking windmills.
Good style and unusual love-interests mingle, somehow, with all of the former activities.
Can you think of a group with which you have affiliated, or could affiliate, which is refined, cultivated, affluent, and influential? You might benefit by taking up with it.
There is a deep dignity in some who are remote from you, perhaps physically, yet close to you in spirit. They are both inspiring and useful.
Injustice and cruelty could mark the self-assertion of some with whom you have to deal. This is part of the harder side of this period. You do not have to bow to them. However, wise adjudication could be the way around them, that is, appealing to a third party as if a court or judge which could have or acquire jurisdiction and rule partly in your favor. This could be more on a purely personal level than a governmental one, or could be the latter depending on your circumstances.
Again it is a matter of dignity, or respecting others, including opponents, while expecting respect in return. It is not necessary to be incendiary, or inclined toward destruction. Each thinks his own castle is under attack, and wants to defend it by attacking the enemy's, to put this in imagery. Your spiritual path will carry you beyond the dangers indicated if you pull out the right stops and play your soul's motif on the organ of your intensified living. Thereby you invoke the forces of justice which will settle everything in a way favorable to your highest hopes.

Ambitions and plans can be quite straightforward, under a happy cloudless sky, speaking metaphorically. That is, you know where you're headed and can go there. The struggles of the past couple weeks have shown you how to "show them," the result of Mars square the sun, that is, you sense how to justify what you are doing to the world or G*d.
We tend to be "judges" in our minds, so your judgment of others might be accurate also, although of course how much of what you see can be said to them, or anyone, is a different question. There must be discretion.
Commercial pursuits and accounting go well, even if you continue to worry about such matters, because you have settled some points of procedure in your mind and feel comfortable with them. It would be well to note these and confirm them before we enter the Dark Hermetic Epoch for almost two months on Wednesday. (I hope you aren't shuddering at that. Actually it can be a pleasant time, as can dream-time, although outer practical pursuits can be less clear.)
There may be some questions of class differences, with those established comfortably seeming to be on one side and protestants (protesters) on the other. Of course some politicians are trying to make this a theme of the autumn campaign in the U. S. It is useful to study yourself to sense where you are on this scale. On both ends, I would guess! That is, part of you is comfortably established and envied by some others. Another part of you is envious of those in seemingly better positions. When we perceive such factors it is interesting how the train can get off the track, that is, we may grasp on one injustice or another and fail to see accompanying justice, or sense that the world is just and fail to see injustice in some regard (or any regard). I can almost say that I am thankful that I have been a victim of real injustice, because that has made me far more sympathetic to others who suffer in that way. (That does not mean I want to suffer more of it. I hope I have had enough to get the lesson.)
You can carry out obligations to yourself, and thereby avoid upsetting the milieu around you. You might need to move quickly to get things settled before they get out of hand. That removes the danger. You can ask for fairness to yourself while being fair to everyone else.
There are individuals whose dignity is such that they are alert to the cry of the oppressed, and mitigate injustice as they can. Some of them are in high positions in government (or non-governmental organizations). Such an one could be very helpful to you right now. (Of, if no one, then the One.)
To whom is trust due, or who has earned your trust, is a question. Worrying about this too much could be a mistake, yet it is wise to choose on whom you can rely and so avoid leaning on a frail reed. It is sad to see anyone, especially a child or young one, betrayed by the unthinking. And then, how to handle such issues is another matter. There could be disputes and turmoil, whether someone else or yourself be the instigator.

Generally the moon in Leo is my favorite moon-position for feelings of assurance and the "pursuit of happiness." This could be specially true Friday, which looks somewhat better than Saturday for social and enjoyable "pursuits."
A glorious, mystical, mysteriously attractive and charming milieu seems to surround you whatever you do. You may wonder what you have done to deserve this. You appreciate the beginning of the summer in a big way, noticing the lushness of nature whether you yourself cultivate it or not.
On Friday you might note how successful you have been at managing your money. That is a satisfying feeling, making you ready to spend more than usual for fun. If you rely on anyone to aid you in managing accounts or funds, you may or may not regard them as really useful but you seem to be doing all right anyway.
A public figure (or one less-known but important to you) who has passed from this world may be on your mind. The respect you accord him or her is respect you would like for yourself. A wonderful thing about the human race is that we all share in the virtues and achievements of others. You can look at life "steadily and whole," rising above everything in a way which enhances internal and external freedom.
Still, some part of you is protesting against things which limit you, whether these are real or imaginary. You feel you deserve better, in some respects, and the difficult aspects of Venus suggest you hurt because some do not give you recognition or reward you ought to have.

Generally the moon in Leo is my favorite moon-position for feelings of assurance and the "pursuit of happiness." This could be specially true Friday, which looks somewhat better than Saturday for social and enjoyable "pursuits."
A glorious, mystical, mysteriously attractive and charming milieu seems to surround you whatever you do. You may wonder what you have done to deserve this. You appreciate the beginning of the summer in a big way, noticing the lushness of nature whether you yourself cultivate it or not.

"Reprise" means this is the second and last time this year that both sun and moon will be in Gemini; the first was the beginning of the period, May 20-22. We are saying goodbye to the Twins until next year. Yet not so, because Venus shall remain in their sign until August 7. A lot of semi-romantic "twinning" is going on. And Jupiter is there for a year, beginning on Monday the 11th and continuing until the end of June next year. I would guess this is good news for Internet-based businesses and perhaps writers and publishers, also pianists and organists.
These are the final days of the Old Moon so there can be a lack of get-up-and-go. I have found over the years that even in the last quarter of the moon (about the last week before the New) I tend to slack off on my exercise program. I can prevent that through will power but the drift is felt. Study the records of gyms and fitness centers and see if there is a slack-off of business in that final week of the moon. I am getting a happy feeling from this chart, at least for Thursday and Friday. Saturday is more obscure, with the moon void-of-course.

Is the place where you are the right place? Generally this is a pointless question although it occurs to most of us. We can't be moving every month or every year or even every decade in most cases. It appears there is something on your mind concerning your home, where to go from it temporarily as a new place, a place of adventure or enjoyment, a place which offers something different or refreshing. At the same time you are aware of "threats," perhaps imaginary, at the new place you could visit. This is a matter of being prepared mentally and emotionally for facing situations which are unusual for you but probably not really threatening, rather requiring quick mental adjustment.
Those attracted to quick gains, or the appearance of them; gambling, or the mere sense of gambling because in a place where interesting things can happen and possessions be procured, money spent, will have some of their desires satisfied. The mood is daring. It is also voracious, with a desire to engulf, encompass, or grab what you want or need, whether that be culture, music, food, clothing, or entertainment. This can be done wherever you go, but also at home, in more modest but satisfying ways, if you want to stay there and enjoy in an easier manner.
Indeed, luxury beckons, and you have your own version of it at home as well as wherever you venture. This could be decadent, but might be rather interesting, satisfying, and consciousness-expanding. Mellow and relaxed moments are your reward for the hard segments of life you have faced.

As for work and projects, the most solid and least questionable parts of them are what you should focus on in a relaxed way. As for pleasures, they will be variable and unpredictable.

~Mellow yet Fascinating and Arousing~
Is the place where you are the right place? Generally this is a pointless question although it occurs to most of us. We can't be moving every month or every year or even every decade in most cases. It appears there is something on your mind concerning your home, where to go from it temporarily as a new place, a place of adventure or enjoyment, a place which offers something different or refreshing. At the same time you are aware of "threats," perhaps imaginary, at the new place you could visit. This is a matter of being prepared mentally and emotionally for facing situations which are unusual for you but probably not really threatening, rather requiring quick mental adjustment.
Those attracted to quick gains, or the appearance of them; gambling, or the mere sense of gambling because in a place where interesting things can happen and possessions be procured, money spent, will have some of their desires satisfied. The mood is daring. It is also voracious, with a desire to engulf, encompass, or grab what you want or need, whether that be culture, music, food, clothing, or entertainment. This can be done wherever you go, but also at home, in more modest but satisfying ways, if you want to stay there and enjoy in an easier manner.
Indeed, luxury beckons, and you have your own version of it at home as well as wherever you venture. This could be decadent, but might be rather interesting, satisfying, and consciousness-expanding. Mellow and relaxed moments are your reward for the hard segments of life you have faced.
Monday, although a work day for most, might continue this trend because the moon will be void-of-course (times above). As for work and projects, the most solid and least questionable parts of them are what you should focus on in a relaxed way. As for pleasures, they will be variable and unpredictable.
Being somewhat lackadaisical, all three days, seems natural and not a terrible sin. You may seem to be doing nothing, much of the time, yet if your aspirations are high and your hopes rich with fascinating possibilities, all you stumble upon will be parts of a rich mind-expanding mosaic.

Connections with people at a distance and from your past are favored. There is bonhomie and camaraderie.
Questions of "stuff" and things you need to organize remain in the background. Doing some of that gives you an edge and makes the rest feel much more pleasant. You can alternate between the "stuff" of organizing and a nice social time. Many will be on the move. Some will be mapping travel plans for later.
Something connected with plumbing may turn up. Don't be alarmed, it may be as simple as cleaning a drain, toilet or sink.
Whatever problems there are may come from unexpected places. You could be weak and indifferent to them and therefore somewhat hurt by them. Or you could stay alert and avoid falling prey to peculiar machinations or losses. You may find that some individuals who are otherwise good for you seem indifferent, remote, not willing to confide in you or be open.
You yourself may be "in another world" and not wanting to work. Minimum essentials at least need to be done. Your unusual abilities, somewhat scientific or technical, are emphasized at least when you are alone.
Someone, perhaps a woman, who seems cold or remote may still have a good influence on you because of her sound judgment.
When you are active and restless, self-willed, you could benefit by calming down and thinking a little about your deeper intentions, or you might realize at the end of the day that you have been flitting in circles. Being an opportunist, that is, grabbing at opportunities and trying them despite anxiety, could be effective.
Many factors connected with career and income have been, or are, easy. This gives you a sense of luxury. Then from that you can anticipate astute moves you can make to preserve your good fortune. It is always possible to feel dejected if one looks on the dark side. Not everyone has pleased you in the way you wish. Many have their own programs which differ from yours. However, most planetary aspects are strong and encouraging. You could use your learning, your knowledge and implicit good sense, plus intuition, to avoid confusion arising from a failure of will. Then you can connect with high understanding, narrow your choices, and manifest some of your hopes.

\Sharing Thankless Tasks/
(I have a feeling a lot of readers will not get past the title of this report but it is the title which came to me.)
The planets have settled back into a seesaw pattern, which helps with interpersonal communication on the business as well as the personal level. People are watching out for their own interests (moon in Capricorn) but are able to do that with an awareness of what the other fellow wants and needs as well, which can make their selfishness more successful and, in effect, more helpful to the world.
How many of my readers are students of the deeper Mysteries? Probably quite a few. It is too easy to reduce the Mysteries to platitudes. Many popular "new-agey" writings tend to do that, no matter how sincere the authors may be. Back to Blavatsky and Sri Aurobindo! These are writers who knew deeply what they were talking about. (Their viewpoints are different, but that is not disturbing to the one who goes deeply enough in the teachings of either of them.) Of course they are not easy to read! Why would the sacred Truth be easy? And who is worthy of it but the one who is willing to put forth some effort to attain it?
There are a few other writers in the field worth reading, but I am afraid not many readers find them. It is all too easy to be mentally lazy. On the other hand, we all need inspiration, and something which inspires you can be good collateral reading even if it is less profound. It is your "energy drink," but you also need protein.
Good judgment is essential among friends as well as in business. You will benefit by getting active in the community, manifesting peace among those who are trying to bring about a better world even if their approach leaves much to be desired. In some ways, you could do it better. In other ways, you have something to learn from them, even perhaps from their mistakes.
I am seeing something in the chart which most of us, fortunately, do not have to face, but which many on the planet are facing. Again, I think of Syria, where unspeakable brutality, and worse (for "brutes" are less cruel), has been happening. You are probably free of a cruel tyrant, yourself, but some are not, whether prisoners or abused children or others. There may be some way you can help, at least through awareness and prayer, or whatever you are led to do by your soul's pleading. Maybe you need to say something to someone about an intolerable situation.
At a less intense level, these energies can be a need to get active, by resolving personal matters which you have neglected, in a definite clear way. (The strong squares between Mars and Venus-with-the sun are part of this.) We all dislike "finicky" but necessary drudgery, but some of it cannot be avoided, so may as well be accepted as cheerfully as possible.
The "thankless task" builds character, and who knows but that the cosmos or its Head will bless and thank you in due time? An inner poise based in spiritual surety can keep you from wasting your time in any way. The best pleasure now would seem to be association with those who are friends to your own best objectives in one way or another.

This is the Full Moon period, with the expansion of consciousness always furthered at that time. Connections with friends at a distance are good. You will probably settle housekeeping matters or organize in your headquarters.
Something you have been delaying concerning home and travel may be forced toward settlement. There can be luck when it comes to moving things, or yourself, from here to there or back.
There is a division or contrast between superficial things, in which you could get lost unless you trim them, and deeper matters of the soul, which ought to get determined attention even if that requires some sacrifice of easy pleasures.
You judgment is likely to be good when it comes to household and organizational matters, as well as self-expression and anything about young people. You can meet self-centeredness in people, with its accompanying coarseness, through savoir faire, rising above it. Neither you, nor he or she, can compel the other.

If you have to drop some minor things for now, you can pick them up later. If you hold firm to intentions, you can do well, in the light of Luna as she basks in the sun's full radiance.
