~Limiting or Expansive Focus~A man is sitting on his heels, breaking stones
With a hammer. His intellectual powers are small
Or unused and he labors much to little profit.
He has always been considered peculiar and is
Unpopular because nothing he says adds up
To anything abstract or anything concrete.
But he is given a cottage in an orchard and
A flock of sheep. He develops a happy disposition,
Loving Nature and loved by her. His wealth
Is his contentment. His neighbor has a different
Path, scholarly and profound, examining all things
By logical-judicial standards, sitting before
A square with a manuscript scroll before him.
The orchard rejects any negative limiting focus.
