• Toward Geniality and Gregariousness • 

1 Being lost in a snowstorm could be attending to too many things without sufficient mental illumination. 

2 But the Sun does rise within the lingering night. There is a generous disposition, though one may feel "out of time and place."

3 "A youth throwing coins into a cup as if in play" loses great opportunities through eccentric tastes and amusements, perhaps living a dependent lifestyle of Indifference. 

4 Or, he could emulate "a young woman lying beneath a tree, throwing food to the birds gathering around her." She has a kind heart and a winning, generous disposition. She is happy and makes others so. She loves the beautiful in nature and the fine arts, basking in geniality, concord and fellow-feeling. 

5 Lines of property and private rights have no validity unless they constitute a social stewardship. "A labor demonstration" reminds us that right and justice must prevail. The keyword is Representation. 

6 If the demonstration succeeds, there comes "a maximum of happy give-and-take between any one individual and any other," as in "a barn dance." There is richness of living and Gregariousness.
