 Message for Week of April 26--May 3, 2025 

° Reality plus Merriment ° The motions of the planets do not force us or even impact us. They indicate trends of karma or dharma working out in humanity. As the rays of the sun and rain pull plants up from the earth, astrological conditions bring out whatever we have planted in our personal lives. For the past couple of months they have been bringing up weeds we have planted, as well as healthy growth. Saturn has been teaching us, in a word, Responsibility. Venus, planet of love, friendship and fruition, moving very very slowly, has been stuck on Saturn since mid-March. Probably someone is missing from your life, or more than one, teaching you to treasure their memory while yet keeping up with present responsibilities, sometimes with tears in your eyes. Let me guess. You have felt inundated with boring details, bureaucratic paperwork, passwords, taxes, credit card details, or the like. Mercury travels backward or very slowly during its Dark Hermetic Epoch--of which Friday, as I write, is the last day. Troubles or annoyances galore are decreasing as we enter a new Bright Hermetic Epoch on Saturday the 26th. Continuing till June 30th, it should feel like a liberation, or better, like a happy concordat between Responsibility and Happiness. The dance of life becomes a joyful offering rather than a compelled performance. The demands of Saturn, the Reality Principle, are still here because of the soul-challenging square between Saturn and Jupiter. It requires us to live up to our highest standards. It has been with us since last July, is increasing, and reaches a peak of exactitude on June 13-15. (Donald Trump's birthday is June 14 and Xi Jinping's is June 15. Hmm.) At best, you may feel, "Thank God I have this work to do, because I believe in it and it invigorates me." Happy news: Venus, while separating from bitter Saturn, forms a long-term trine with Mars, her comrade. This lasts until mid-June to sweeten things. Need I add: Harmony, friendship, love. Already it is beginning.
