Mning Point • 1 Reading political commentary, I realize one of the values of astrology: *The Long View*. People on both (or rather all) sides are making snap judgments as to what Trump's tariffs and Musk's cutbacks shall mean. Not wise. 2 Because, as frequently stated here, while Mercury is retrograde or slow, and Venus also retrograde, things are in chaos no matter what Trump, Musk, or their opponents say or do. 3 On Monday Mercury appears to be motionless (stationary), turning direct technically at 4:09a PT. Will that help? Probably a little. But Venus remains retrograde until Saturday the 12th. It is actually very rare that these two are retrograde at the same time. We have seen the unusual chaos of the past few weeks. One astrologer said that if Trump had an astrologer he would not have imposed his tariffs while Venus was retrograde. Maybe she was right. I don't claim to know, but do proclaim that 4 It will be easier to see what is happening beginning today, Monday; still more next week. beginning Saturday the 12th; and still more two weeks after that, beginning Saturday April 26th. It can be sorrow, touchiness, worry, a feeling that "nobody loves me." Better, it can be a realization that love is all we have, and therefore becomes stalwart loyalty, maybe the finest human virtue. When getting love seems doubtful, giving or feeling it is always possible. 6 Today, Monday, as Mercury is motionless but inching forward, you are at a subtle turning point. The past and heavy memories still cling around your ankles, but a way forward is feasible and reassuring. Out-of-pattern incidents and agendas are still likely, sometimes annoying, sometimes liberating. Two steps forward and one back is good enough for now.
